Hi all.
My PC application fetches the PPC databases using ActiveSync RAPI (I am using TMS Software CE Tools, which is a Delphi wapper for RAPI).
Everything works fine in wm5, but my program cannot access the databases in wm6.
Does anyone know how to access the PPC databases using RAPI in wm6?
Thanks for your help.

Skyscape wm2005
You can install the programs "manually" by first copying the .cab files you need to your storage card and then running them from the storage card on your ppc.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
I've got a MDA-III and a MDA-Pro.
Sprite Backup doesn't work under WM2005, so how can I transfer my data
to my new MDA-Pro, especially the SMS folders.
Thanks in advance,
Dino
Sprite is preparing a beta. We (the testers) will see to what extent this will be part of the "device upgrade", but my hunch is that you should not hold your breath ... WM2003 are WM5 are strutcurally different to an extent that the databases even have changed location etc ... I don't see how they would be able to provide this as a feature.
ok, now I've copied everything manually to my mda3, except my SMS messages.
Does anybody know how I can transfer them?
I have a Dash and have yet to find a SMB network (Windows File Share) client for it.
This is kind of frustrating, as when I got it I, thought I would be able to browse my home network vis WIFI and transfer files back and forth.
As far as I know WM 5.0 Smartphone does not support this. I think I read that the Resco guys tried to do it but the OS is missing certain required files. Hopefully this will be resolved in 6.0.
You could try orb.com . No software to install and let's you browse your PC through your smartphone. Very easy to setup.

Is there a way to copy the dll just by using a flash card or something???? any software i can use so that the dll shows up in windows explorer on my WM6 AO2 so i can just copy it????
update
[Update] Okay I found a software called Resco Explorer and overwrote the dll file fix from Vagus but I am still having the same problem. Any chance someone can fix this problem?? Its occurred to me ever since I’ve upgrade to WM5 AO2 from AO1 and it won’t connect to my WPA-PSK encrypted network. I’ve tried all of Maglite’s releases too.
O yea im using X50v
I currently have 350 outlook contacts on my works PC and I want to extract them and place them onto my Orbit. Problem is that my works PC has Activesync 4.2 on it and I need 4.5 to connect my Windows mobile 6.0 device to allow transfer via activesync. I tried downloading and installing 4.5 on the pc but it fails and I am not sure if it is because my work PC runs windows 2000 and it is not compatible. I can back these up to a ‘.pst’ file etc but can anyone tell me how to transfer then across to my orbit failing the ability to activesync? I know that once on the orbit I can use the pim manager to backup and restore them as required. Thanks in advance JD
Use Import/Export on Outlook
Hi, you can use the import/export option under File menu.
Select "Export to a file" then select what ever the file format (preferebly excel) and save it on a file.
Then similarly import that file on any PC with ActiveSync 4.5 on it and then sync the PPC.
I am sorry if you are looking for method to sync it directly.

If you own an XP PC version at home you'd better install Microsoft Outlook 200X + activesync 4.5 then backup your outlook.pst file from your work PC and sync everything from your home XP PC. That would be the best way to sync them, because sometimes activesync is killing your contacts both ways if you decide to erase a PC connection partnership.
Thanks Gguyaz this sounds feasible..I'll investigate this possiblity over the next few days. Thanks for all the replies...JD...
