that's the antenna. i wouldnt attempt to rig that unless you have good purpose. i'd leave it be.
whats your reasoning for wanting to remove it?

I think this goes in here....

So I love the community for this phone, and was thinking about ways I could help (I suck at programming ). Then I heard the "E.T." name being thrown around (which I love). As an artist, I figured this would be a good place to do some work.
I'm currently hand re-drawing the famous scene where the bike flies over the moon, at high resolution, and if possible I'll animate it for a boot screen. If I can't get that working well, I'll just have to have it a static boot.

Edit: Got the rough out done. Not entirely sure I like how it looks right now:
Ok, the big one is done. You can use this as a background/etc. Now I'll mess with it to get it to look decent at 480x800, and hopefully add in some swoosh.

Edit: Static screen done:

Yes that one!
From what I can tell from the teardown, looks like it holds the LCD/Mainboard in place. Could be wrong.

as far as I'm concerned, every LCD screws must be tightened as it also acts as a Grounded plane for it. tx

It was a solid mystery this week as to WHY my case was dirty every time I got to work. Im willing to bet this applies to all papers but this paper is The Express(a local D.C. paper).

less $$ on parts4repair.com
more$$ on stellatech.com

There's always a bunch on eBay for decent prices, I'd check there.

I tried to find some real work pictures of this band before buying it. I was looking for a better protection case for my 360. But I finally bought it when my back broke and my band would not stay in any more.
So, I bit the bullet and ordered it. It is a lot nicer than I was fearing. I have large wrists so finding watch bands that fit is never fun. However this one works there too.
