Kernel odin.zip (must be flashed with odin) Link
Download and extract rom package to your internal sd.
common.zip
custom.zip

android app.zip
samsung app.zip
(copy to custom/ folder)
Go to recovery
Select "ULK and AIORK setting" menu (last one).
Select "AIORK" menu (last one).
Content explanation:
"common" contains "1 base rom.zip" (base for all rom, NEEDED)
.........................."2 base app.zip" (base app for all rom, NEEDED)
"custom" constains "3 jXX frameork.zip" (framework for each versions, at least 1 is NEEDED)
"kernel" contains different kernels, see name. (ONLY aiork kernel contains AIORK menu, if you use another kernel, flash AIORK kernel when you want to reflash your rom)
"mod" contains mods (currently gps fixes, and jpm lockscreen)
"modem" contains jpm and jpp modems
"theme" is empty, but you can add your own theme here.
Note:
Base rom will erase old app/framework folder.
Framework jXX will erase old framework folder.
Base app are barebone app, you can add android/samsung app to it (flash android/samsung app AFTER base app) or you can use the market to add missing app.
Extra note:
Works only with froyo!
Will NOT wipe your data/settings (but after 10 flashs, you should wipe data/cache)
Can be used WITH lagfix ! (not recommended but works, after flashing the rom if you had any lagfix the ULK menu will popup saying "config differs", select "remove old config" you will be lagfixed as before flashing.)
Spare parts, busybox, root, superuser, sgs tools, sgstoolbox and launcher pro are included. (you can uninstall them if not needed)
See post 2 for reference/info
(need to clean up this page, sorry for bad look)

or
Apply "kernel update.zip" from recovery with CW or 2e recovery (need to be renamed update.zip)
Usage:
Boot into recovery,
select "ULK and AIORK menu"
select "AIORK"
select an option:
"Install rom (common)", (install base rom)
"Install modem (modem)", (install modem.bin)
"Install kernel (kernel)", (install kernel)
"Install custom app (custom)", (install whatever you want)
"Install mod (mod)", (install mod)
"Install theme (theme)", (install theme)
"Reboot", (reboot the phone)[/I]
How to install rom:
Download and extract the rom pack on you root.
http://www.multiupload.com/603NI211U8
You should have:
sdcard:/aiork/common/
sdcard:/aiork/modem/
sdcard:/aiork/kernel/
sdcard:/aiork/custom/
sdcard:/aiork/mod/
sdcard:/aiork/theme/
You can add .zip in folders.
How to cook your own parts:
Kernel:
Download "kernel template.zip"
Open archive with 7zip
Replace "zImage" with your kernel
Put the file on "sdcard:/aiork/kernel/"
Modem:
Download "modem template.zip"
Open archive with 7zip
Replace "modem.bin" with yours.
Put the file on "sdcard:/aiork/modem/"
Custom/theme/mod:
Download "custom template.zip"
Open with 7zip
Make your changes (it uses phone file structure, so if you create an "app" directory and put some apk here, when you ll install the custom file it will write in phone://app/ etc...)
Put sdcard:/aiork/*your choice*/
NOTE:
This is just for testing purpose.
It does not wipe your data.
Kernel and modem are already in the provided "common" rom so dont worry if you see the redbend_ua screen.
Kernel in the "common" rom provided is not AIORK kernel, if you plan to use the kitchen after, select the AIORK kernel after you applied the rom.
AIORK kernel provided is base on ULK 0.4 kernel so lagfix works.
For kernel cookers: you can add the AIORK to your kernel easily
Download "recovery.zip"
Extract, place it in /initframfs/out/sbin/
Make your kernel.
Rom pack uses DocRambone v7.5 for testing purpose, so NO SUPPORT, if you get errors use retail Doc version.
Pack contain v7.5 JPO, patch to JPA, modem JPP and JPM, medium and full app pack.
Thanx to Sztupy, Cyanogenmod, Koush, Supercurio, Aery, DocRambone and everyone I forgot to make this possible.
FYI (deodexing rom):
Flash fresh untouched rom
Get xUltimate script (from droid forum)
Update smali/backsmali jars (from google project)
Connect your phone (usb debug mode)
Start main.exe
option 5 (pull all/ deodex all)
Copy missing apk from orig_frame to done_frame, same for app
Use template FULL.zip to add and flash deodexed framework/app
NOTE:
template APP jp6.zip contain an empty system/app/ folder, add your deodexed app here. When flashed it will wipe the app folder of the phone.
template FULL jp6.zip contain empty app and framework folder, add your app and framework deodexed here, when flashed it will wipe app and framework folder of the phone.
xutil.7z contain xUltimate script with updated smali/backsmali jars do deodex roms.

The project:
Create an All-In-One rom package where user can choose wich rom/kernel/mod/theme to install.
Motivations:
I love to switch between roms/themes/kernel/mods and it take me times to install and try something that fits my needs. So I wanted to created some kind of all in one update where we can choose what we want to install.
How to:
Basicaly, every roms use commons files like applications/settings etc... but custom/themed rom use files that differs (because these are custom roms...) so I was looking into a lot of rom to see how they were built and managed to find "common" files to every roms that we'll call "common files".
Then to these "common files" standards roms use standards app, and customs roms uses customs apps.
Then we have mods, and kernels that can differs depending on the cooker preference.

Since I am just starting right now I am getting info about roms and kernel that will be studied.

Great idea, franklin01.
I'm looking forward to test Your project
love the idea
+1.
Attention all OCRF's there (Obsessive Compulsive ROM Flashers -like me for example) you will have a FLASHING time with this ROM.
Looking forward to this.
kind of kitchen a la modaco or samdroid
but better
will it take online kitchen - hence bandwidth ?
or dl the parts and use local tool to build ?
nice work
keep doing
It will be a monumental task to have this going. Many of the roms are more or less specialized and even mixes of different base roms.
And the bugs introduced will require a big amount of support. But i look forward to this
Good idea, thanks
I had the same idea but I'm no developer so I have clue how I could have done this lol...
Can't wait to try it

Well this is a BIG work but I am confident, I am currently testing with JP6/JPM rom using doc barebone rom as a common file and darky raw steel as custom file.
So common files and standard/custom files are ready, theme and kernel is ready for test too.
Menu editing in CW should work too but I got problem compiling CW in the kernel.
I tried ndk-build and make but cant compile so right now I am stuck here.
I ll search on google to find how to compile CW modded in kernel like there is in ULK.
Hey franklin, the one thing that CAN put your ROM could be a minor detail.
On the Top of the screen, coming from right to left, Battery->circle, Signal strength->circle, 3G/H->circle.
Signal strength, kind of a circle divided, showing green or yellow/red.
After that all circles.
Can you manage THAT? If you like this IDEA, mention me.

Well I think it is possible but I am not a dev anyways, just some guy repacking things.
But I ll look to see if I can do something about that.
(may need to edit framework-res , find the original signal bar icon and mod it using the battery mod icon so it should be possible but not until tomorrow)

This AIO ROMcould be the climax of all OCRF's
All circle:
This is just a test, it is awful but it works so if someone want to try/edit/make something beautiful feel free to do.
How to:
Get system\framework\framework-res.apk from your phone (using adb or root explorer).
Open it using 7zip (or winrar but 7zip is better to repack).
Extract res\drawable-hdpi\
Edit png you need (open to see which one is)
Then put things back to the framework-res.apk (using 7zip, drag and drop modified files)
Put back framework-res.apk to your phone (using adb, root explorer or update.zip method).
Here is my moded all circle awful mod... tested on JP6/JPM and the update works with CW and 2e recovery (rename to update.zip).
WARNING:
Can damage your phone as usual (well if you have JP6/JPM it works fine, no worries) but can also damage your eyes ! (it is just a test, I am no artist and this mod is awful... should not edit with mspaint)
About all in one rom progress:
currently cooking some kernel to see if I can make this work but have to do it on another computer, atom 1.6ghz are not made to compile kernels...

Looks WAY better than the one I wanted you to see.
But after someti,e. my circle battery disappeared & the original samsung one came on.
& I have a black bar, so inverted would have been good for me.
I love this.
This is a "from scratch" theme, decompiled with apkmanager with graphics from AOSP source.
Also likely to only work with deodexed roms I would assume.
NEW Odexed version! here
What this does:
* Changes the images in framework-res and SystemUI, these include the window frame shape, status bars and various other graphics.
* Changes a few text colours to properly match the new graphics.
* For the moment, has AOSP stock battery mod. (not percentages).
- Base theme should be compatible with the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen if you wanted to add your own percentage based battery.
What this will never do:
* Add more lockscreens.
* Have the extended power menu. (iirc these are "unsafe" reboots anyway)
* Include the overscroll glow.
* Include the CRT off animation. Arm has been twisted, added as an option.
If you're after these features I recommend popping over to ock's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010324
But, but, but, I really like the overglow effect!
dhiru1602's stand alone mod should work with these mods: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1027935&highlight=overscroll+glow
* Starting JVT stock samsung includes the overscroll glow, so this will too. (With the colour changed to yellow/orange).
TODO:
- Recolour the TW based graphics.
- Change the "Reader Handler" graphics.
Screenshots
Note:
I'm making it a bit easier to install everything and including a 'complete' theme. This changes:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/android.policy.jar
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
/system/app/MediaProvider.apk
/system/app/DownloadProvider.apk
The old separated installs will still be around though if you only want, say, the lockscreen. (ahem).

For some bizarre reason this kills my phone's WIFI. Gets stuck on obtaining IP address. When I revert using the files provided it works. If i flash back to stock it works. If i flash to the ASOP theme it fails. Strange!
Hope you can find a solution, theme looks excellent.
Interesting. I haven't had that problem at all.
You're flashing to a deodexed JVH?
I've no problems connecting to my wpa home wifi. But haven't really had the chance to test any other configs. What kind of wifi are you connecting to?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
thanx for this !
Yeah it is rather strange! beyond logic really since I assume the files are just updated PNG's and the like.
Connecting to a standard router with DHCP. Used deodexed stock ROM JVH. Possibly just a strange problem with my phone.

[Ramad]'s deodexed stock rom? I actually deodexed it myself this time around because I didn't want to wait for Ramad's rom. That -may- be causing some problems, I'll try yanking his systemui.apk over the next few days and building it with his.
Also, tried wiping cache/dalvik cache? FCs and odd software bugs tend to clear up after doing that.
I'm using Ramad's deodexed stock JVH rom (Odin version), CF-Root 3.2, your AOSP lock only & it works beatifully. No need for wiping anything. No FC's. No issues. Thanks.
I appreciate that you've also made the "uninstalls" as well. Makes it easy to go back to stock if required. I wish more devs did the same thing.
JVO?
Will it work on the newest JVO stock firmware? I think, that JVO must be deodexed, but somewhere in XDA is a thread with deodexed jvo apk's.

Maybe. Apparently the build dates are the same between JVH/VJVO. So if you want to try and report back, backup /system/framework/framework-res.apk and /system/app/SystemUI.apk. (for the main theme) /system/framework/android.policy.jar for the lockscreen.
I flashed to CM7 the other day, so I had stopped following stock releases for a bit.
If this had different build dates/changes I'd probably flash back to it, but not sure if it's worth it at present.
According to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13940533&postcount=14
It would be fair to say the framework has changed, so I'd advise against trying to use these mods.
I'll get onto a JVO version even if I can't test it myself and pop it up tomorrow perhaps.
AOSP and stock glass lock for JVO.
Completely untested JVO theme just uploaded.
Please post back any bugs, issues. I'm on CM7 presently and can't actually test it out myself. (at all).

Thanks for Your replys... but I'm a little confused... if the system must be deodexed?? I'm not seeing this information in main post... I'll really like to test this theme on my SGS, but I've odex stock JVO installed... please answer if You could
EDIT: Ok, "Also likely to only work with deodexed roms I would assume" sorry....
continous boot loop
i guess it's not fit for odex?
SystemUI.apk is odexed in the stock rom, yes. Bad things may (and seems to have) happened on an odexed rom.
This is a mod by $omator. I just wrapped it all together and put into single downloadable CWM zip, as it took some time for me to find working "crt off animation" on my JVO.
This package includes:
- crt animation
- FlyIn animation (search for "flyin spicia" on youtube for example)
- extended power menu
- overscroll glow effect (this is not in default package from $omator, but he described how to include it),
- notification bar stock icons (not all) converted to green, just like stock batery icon (also not as default in original package, but described in his thread)
- battery icon includes percents
Don't ask me to do package for other rom versions or with other icons. Do it yourself - $omator described pretty well how to do it.
I'm just sharing package that I made for my needs, maybe someone else might like it too.

Status: ONLINE and Updated 12/Jul/12
With so many GB roms coming out lately I often can't wait for xxx custom rom developer to update to xxx rom. For the last month or so I've basically been using customised stock roms. (My own AOSP theme, choose a kernel, change a few apks).
One of the first things I do after flashing a new rom + kernel is cut down on some of the bloat in /system/. I more or less remove everything that can be downloaded (for free) from the market. When they're downloaded from the market they often go into /data/, leaving more breathing room in /system/.
As always, backup and be confident with restoring your phone via download mode or CWM.

What this does:
This is a little bit of PHP that will generate a customised CWM update.zip which will remove specific apks (and associated .odexes).
Usage:
* Choose which APKs you want the update.zip to remove and hit the Generate button.
- You can also select a preset to save some clicking.
* Copy the generated .zip file to your phone.
* Apply it with CWM.
Thanks:
The list of APKs was grabbed from the public google docs spreadsheet.
The SGS2 APK list was grabbed from this public google docs spreadsheet
The SGS3 APK list was grabbed from this public google docs spreadsheet. XDA thread
Notes:
* The APK list shouldn't let you remove anything 'vital' to booting the phone.
* I've tested it myself pretty extensively and used it for the last couple of stock roms released. However, there may be bugs. Let me know and I'll attempt to get them fixed!
* If you have any particular ideas for good presets, also let me know and I'll see to adding them.
* You can remove TouchWiz (TouchWiz30Launcher.apk) with this. However, if you do that without having another home 'app' installed, bad things may (will) happen.
Presets:
- Google
Removes the following:
- Gmail.apk
- GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
- Maps.apk
- Street.apk
- VoiceSearch.apk
- YouTube.apk
- Sargorn Special
Removes the following:
- Everything from the Google preset
- Aldiko
- BuddiesNow
- The flip fonts, Choco, Cool, Rose
- Days
- Dlna
- DualClock
- InfoAlarm
- Flash
- Layar
- MiniDairy
- MyFiles
- Protips
- SamsungWidgets (CalendarClock, FeedAndUpdate, StockClock)
- SnsAccount
- SnsProvider
- Unified Inbox
- Write and Go
Nice, a kitchen for removal rather than gain of apps
reserved for future use!
Simple, but very useful!
Thumbs up!
this looks very promising.
one of the things i hate about upgrading is removing all the bloatware ....will try it out my next flash thanks
what a great idea
Wow, definitely going to try this. Thanks!
EDIT: after generating a .zip and looking at the generated script, it deletes .apk and .odex files. Will this throw an error if used on a deodexed rom? Maybe an option to select whether the rom is odexed/deodexed would be a good idea? Just a thought.
It doesn't throw an error. Just double checked.
I will try. I was looking for such a pc software because im tired of removin app
myself again and again after flashing new roms. Thanks.
can i still choose apps which i don't have so incase in the future, i don't need to create another one.. what i'm generating is my master uninstaller.
very nice utility.
this a very useful +1
Very nice idea. Exactly what I was looking for. Will give it a try right away/
Great!
Suggestion: you could add a text input field (possibly user could press a button to get more text input fields) so that users can remove some other (not pre-defined) APKs.
Don't know if it's of any use though..

That should work without any problems. The update-script won't complain if the files deleted are not there to start with.

I can see it being useful if you have a specific apk that usually is installed with your CSC. I'll look into it when I have a chance.
If I understood well, it works on odexed roms?

That's right, the update-script removes both the .apk files and the .odex files.
So as long as you have CWM it will work on odex or deodexed.
Ok, so domo arigato, as they say
Worked pretty good when I went from JVP to JVQ just a minute ago
Great!
After downloading the zip file, can the updater-script be manually edited and and readded to the zip?
For NST/NSTG with 1.2 firmware
Hi, new NTSG owener here
After reading this thread I've decided to make similar mod for 1.2 firmware.
NOTE: this was tested on rooted 1.2 firmware on NSTG but should work fine also on NST
Modifications in framework-res.apk:
-added languages: the same as in original mod
-replaced some images: by default not-localized ones had ugly "X" painted on top, now they look as for English locale
Modifications in Settings.apk:
-all languages are now visible in language picker ( <extra android:name="hideDevLanguages" android:value="false" /> in xml/settings_locale.xml) removed due to SetupWizard incompatibility (com.bn.oobe doesn't like this)
-added Development Options in main menu (changes in xml/settings_root.xml and xml/settings_root_gossamer.xml- first file is for NSTG, second for NST)
-locale picker is present in Development Options
-added Sync & Settings submenu
If you wish to play further with Settings.apk I can recommend this tutorial (it's for ICS but workflow is the same for Eclair).
Downloads:
All files are CWM flashable zips
NSTG-MULTI-1.2.x-flash.zip -modified framework-res.apk
NSTG-settings-accounts-1.2.x.zip -modified Settings.apk
RESTORE_FRAMEWORK.zip -restore stock framework-res.apk
stock-settings.zip -restore stock Settings.apk
Remember to make a full backup before flashing anything
Updated Settings.apk- now Accounts & Sync is available
NST owners- please post feedback, I can't test modifications on your hardware.
EDIT:
Removed modded settings.apk due to SetupWizard incompatibility, testing alternate solutions
EDIT EDIT:
Modded Settings.apk back online.
BIG FAT WARNING
Settings.apk is deeply tied to other B&N system apps, Setup Wizard will fail with a modded one.
So if you want to use it keep original one around in case of data wipe
PERFECT! just what I wanted.. hey this DOES have Japanese on it right?
as in.. the list that said..

Languages were taken from 2.1 Samsung EU rom.
I've used Android Multitool
If you want to add language:
1.Grab a 2.1 rom which has your language onboard, decompile framework-res.apk,
-copy /res/values-[desired language code]/ folder which includes arrays.xml, plurals.xml and strings.xml
-copy /res/raw-[desired language code] folder
2. Decompile Nook's framework-res.apk
-put both previously extracted folders to /res
-copy any of existing /res/raw-XX to /res/raw-[desired language code] -this folder holds localized images
-compile apk
-there will be warning about missing strings in translation- dont' worry, system will use english ones
-copy AndroidManifest.xml file and /META-INF from original framework-res.apk to newly compiled one (apk is a zip)
3. Replace framework-res.apk in a flashable zip and flash it
I'd advise to wipe dalvik-cache after flashing (just in case)
And better don't use modded Settings.apk, language picker can be accessed in Nook Color Tools.
Sorry, I didn't find a way to make modded Settings work in SetupWizard (oobe.apk in reality)
EDIT:
And better check if fonts support japanese
ahead of that.. I just wanted it to recognize Japanese characters.. only had to add ttf files into the fonts folder.
(oddly the stock reader doesn't do that.. meh, I didn't like it to begin with.. I'm using AIreader) but thanks though : )
This looks great! Thanks, @gen_scheisskopf. Due to this mod's being created, I'm now working on my own modified Settings.apk.

I'd suggest to take a look at dependencies, AFAIR settings.apk depends on B&N apks (this is most likely why my modified apk only FC-ed when booting system after a wipe)

Check. I've got the beta version of my Settings.apk working famously on my NTG - here's the project thread.
