I just got my att tilt2, had it unlocked by att. I'm using a cellular one sim card. I set up a new connection with the correct data setting (these settings work just fine on my old lg incite) but the phone cannot connect using the settings which are cellular1wap for the access point and 172.23.1.252 for the assignet ip address that is required for the connetion. Also I have disabled the proxy settings in tools/proxy manager. I can connect using wifi but not my data plan. I'm using the stock rom. I there something I'm missing? Please help

I have an unlimited internet plan. The only setting I have to do is to set APN to internet. All other setting are left blank.
If I check 3G mobile hotspot i got the message Cannot setup data link, please contact your service provider.
If I check Internet tethering i got There is no valid tethering APN. Please contact the customer service to update your tethering APN.
What are the valid tethering APN?
With the same SIM and the same setting on SE W890i i can use this option on usb or bluetooth (this phone does not have wifi).
not sure if it's related but only 3g works with the hotspot feature. i have a 2g card which doesn't work (i borrowed a 3g sim to test it).
It's a 3G sim and 3G only network. DigiMobil RO.
The built-in tethering app only works if your mobile operator allows it.
Wireless Tether from http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/ works regardless of whether your operator supports it or not. You need to root your phone to make it work.

I had the same problem on another carrier and I fixed it by creating a duplicate of the data APN that I created (just for phone data, not tethering) and then just changing APN type on that new APN to 'dun' (dial up networking). Tethering worked as soon as I did that.
You can also try just changing the apn type on your existing data APN to 'default,supl,dun' that might work too - I found on some other sites that people said it worked. Cheers.
I changed my ATT sim to indian sim (BSNL a mobile network in india), I cannot access internet (3g). How do I setup 3g data plan? CS told me to change apn (which I did) also told me to change ip, port.
Where do I change port & ip for the data. In setting all I see is APN, username and password. All i want is internet.

I want to connect 2 or more apn at a time like we can do it in nokia s60 phones, in this if we use multiple browser it'll ask for selecting apn and continue without disconnecting previous one.
Clear example:
Suppose if i connect to an apn called - internet
Now, without disconnecting this internet apn i want to connect to another apn called - net
So, is it possible in Android..?

I have a T-Mobile branded LG G3 on T-Mobile's network. I was using usb tethering while testing a mother board about a week ago, and after disconnecting my mobile data connection wouldn't work. I got it working after a couple of days by partially putting in a dummy apn setting. When I say a dummy apn, I mean that I only gave an APN name, and "fast.t" for the APN, not even the full address. When switching to this apn, my lte connection immediately popped up and things seemed fine. But after a few days I realized that I'm unable to send mms messages. Text messages have worked, but no mms. I've tried entering the complete apn settings, and now I have no data connection at all. I've tried resetting network connections, and that didn't help either.When resetting, I have the default T-Mobile LTE apn, and another EDGE MMS apn, but the EDGE MMS apn has no way to select it. It's just there, and neither allow modifications. I'm running 6.0 stock, rooted, and TWRP recovery. I've made no system modifications beyond root and recovery. Anyone know of some suggestions? I haven't come across any apn issues resembling my specific issue from other users.
I'm not able to get cellular data to work on my OP3 with my carrier, Net10 Wireless. I took the SIM from the Nexus 4 that I was using and popped it into the OP3. The APN says "ATT WAP" and mobile data is enabled. Any ideas on what I need to do to get data working?
