this is my first time to post, am just a new member. i have a samsung omnia i900 which comes with windows6.1, can i upgrade this to 6.5? can i download this w6.5 build that is now available?
wm is not a general os it's allways 100% customized for the device in order to run
so if the wm6.5 you speak of is made for omnia i900 then yes

Hi all - I have a Samsung i780 that I bought in The Philippines in April 2008. It still has the original ROM (DXHA1) and I was putting off upgrading it to 6.1 when I started to see 6.5 ROMs on here.
I've seen some mentions of the "Russian ROM" and in one of the upgrading guides, it said that I have to upgrade to this before I can upgrade to anything else.
Can I do a straight upgrade from DXHA1 to one of the WM 6.5 builds posted on here now, or do I need to perform this intermediate step? I still love the phone and don't want to brick it

If you are asking for an Official 6.5 ROM for any device October 6th is the day when first Windows Phone 6.5 devices will be released. If you are expecting a official 6.5 ROM for Diamond, then the true answer probably (99%) is never.

there is no 6.5 official release for Samsung Omnia i900 the last official update is based on Windows Mobile 6.1
only Samsung Omnia 2 got an 6.5 official update
