Help with my DCIM directory - Touch CDMA Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi all,
I am actually on here all the time I just dont post much. I recently did an NSFFAN flash on my touch. I have done a lot of them... I usually upgrade when the new ones come out. Anyway, I forgot to pull my mini-sd card out this last time and I have lost all my pics. I have read about this problem before but I am not sure about the solution. Here is a screen shot of what the directory looks like on XP.

Anyone know how to go about fixing this? I assume the pics are still there maybe the headers are just gone? Maybe somehow the flash overwrote everything? I would like to get them back. Any idea's?
Thank you in advance!
Oh, and the new 100Media has nothing in it... When I try to take pictures now they take but do not save anywhere.

what the hell?

Yeah thats kinda what I said... hahaha
I have left the micro-sd card in there before during a flash and never had any problems like this... I mean if I can't get all the pics back its not the end of the world... but it would be nice to have them.

Sorry to tell you, but your SD card is corrupted. The same thing happened to me once and erased my Autorun folder for my Garmin Mobile XT. My solution was to reformat and re-install my apps. Luckily I made a back-up of my pics somewhere on my PC and was able to restore them.

Ah bummer!
I have most of them backed up but not all of them. It's not the sd card because everything else on it is fine... something just went in and killed that one directory. Strange...

Storage card not read

I'm sorry if this was answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find a thread related to this....
My TP2 was acting up, so I soft reset. After Sense loaded, I got a message "Do you want to format this storage card to make it readable? This will permanently delete any files on the card". Now the phone is not reading a card anywhere.
Is there anything I can do to make it readable? I figure the easiest solution is put the card into my computer, copy all the files, put the card back in the phone and format it, and then put the files back on the card. However, I don't have a miniSD adapter, and I won't be able to get one til tomorrow at the soonest, and I kind of need this taken care of today. Any suggestions? I would appreciate it. Thank you.
yeah best bet would be to put it in a memory card reader and access it through your pc. probably got corrupt somehow. there are some recovery apps out there to get the most of the corrupt data out.
Have you tried plugging your device into your pc and setting it in disk drive mode to see if you can access your memory card?
also theres a really cool microsd usb card reader on amazon for $3.99 +shipping. I ordered one and it came in a couple days, its pretty slick. check it out here
good luck, oh and heres what the memory card reader looks like, comes in white or black.

I read from a guide that you should backup those first 4 items. I'm not sure what else you can clean from the SD card though

You can quite safely delete all of these, provided everything is working as it should, personally I'd stick them all in my Android folder on my PC in case I need them in future, but they certainly don't need to be on your SD card.

thank you both!
You need the first one if you want to go back and radio s-on again. Hboot is not so important as it can be restored from an ruu if necessary.

[Q] Possible Corrupted EFS File?

Hello folks. So yesterday I was tinkering around with my phone in an attempt to load the jelly bean ROM. I am new to the world of ROM's and things, so I made sure I did my research before going into the new ROM. I got everything backed up (so I thought), and flashed the jelly bean ROM. The screen just sat there doing nothing until I got rid of it and restored my backup from CWM.
Now every time I boot, I get a screen that says "Unfortunately, Factory Test has stopped" and it cancels out wifi and I have no lock screen/power off menu. I found a solution on XDA that said to look in the EFS file for a certain folder, but when I went into my /efs folder, this is what I saw.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
So there is nothing in my EFS file unless I'm reading this wrong. And I was stupid enough to save my original absolutely clean version from EFS Pro on the internal memory which I wiped. I have another backup which I think might also be corrupted on my computer from the Galaxy s3 toolkit.
The strange thing is that from what I've read, EFS corruption leads to the phone being useless with no functionality. Mine is almost totally functional, minus the Factory Test coming up.
Help please?!!
Bump. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Any ideas to shoot around at all.
bump. Im having the same issue

ROM How to ?

I guess you've read this a million times here: "Apple User switched to Android = completely lost"
This forum is fantastic, but I gotta say its SO big with so much information, I find I've spent an hour or more just trying to find the right information, and even then I feel lost.
I recently tried Slim-t0lte, but I used the wrong ROM which was the N7100 when I have a GT- N7105 device. Lost all ability to make and receive calls and worst of all I lost my 64GB MicroSD card. Photo's, music, files the lot - gone!
That was a couple of days ago and since then I've done a lot of reading and have somewhat rectified the situation.
I am now using Slim-t0lte-4.2.2.build.7.2-WEEKLY and its working great, ie. I can make and receive calls at least, and I had to go and buy a new 64GB MicroSD which set me back $70 dollars. Formatted the new SD card to Fat32 using GuiFormat and the device now see's my new 64GB drive which is great.
But here I am now with everything done and I am completely lost as to how to use this ROM. In the image below is the phone set up how I thought it would look when I loaded the ROM. But it doesn't look anything like that, so I had a play around in settings and I've got the Time, Weather up on the lock screen, but nothing else.

Also I downloaded Universal_SlimBean_theme_lockscreen_blue_bubble, Universal_SlimBean_theme_power_widgets_ics_blue, Universal_SlimBean_theme_powermenu_ics_blue and Universal_SlimBean_theme_settings_ics_blue. I installed them all through CWM but I can't find a way to load them so I can see how how they look.
My question (after all the background info above) is there a how to, a video or something which shows the features of SlimBean that a novice user like me can watch so I can begin to navigate this great looking ROM and access its features?
Thx

[q] smemo notes backup cracked screen [please help]

Hey guys! My screen cracked on my s4 and I had a list of songs I am using for senior thesis within SMEMO. I attempted to use Kies to backup SMEMO and it has worked, however it creates a .snn file. I then attempted to restore the file on an s5 however it doesnt seem to be compatible or detected when selecting the restore option in keys or from within the SMEMO app. I was wondering if I was to upload the file wouldn't anyone be able to help me retrieve my notes!!! Or give me an alternative to recover my notes! P.S. not rooted or else i would link android desktop to windows desktop :/
---I UPLOADED EVERYTHING I CAN SALVAGE REGARDING SMEMO FORM THE S4 HERE!---
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tz66rog5pj24nbr/AAB7vJMUY_J8zwuED2TE5W1Ma?dl=0
Didn't you have it on your external SD card? Never mind Smemo saves within internal sdcard0.
Remove card insert into pc?
S5 may be lollipop so it won't play nice with the files. You can try another phone with kitkat.
Pp.
I don't have access to another phone unfortunately, to make matters worse it did not work on the S5. The only possible idea that I have left and im not even sure will work would be to somehow emulate the stock s4 rom and load it through there if possible....but if somebody could pull the file from my Dropbox link that would be awesome, otherwise im just going to continue searching for new methods....
I don't usually use this tapa talk app to post so forgive me if these pics show up funky. But this is what I was able to salvage by changing the file extension. Hopefully this helps?
