Im trying to send a picture, under 300k to someone else but keeps giving me an unable to send error with an envelope at the top with an exclamation point through it. I also seen something asking me if I wanted to stop the current connection to send.
Anyone running into this problem or know how to fix it?
In order to send/download MM messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use) Do you want to continue?
Then it it asks me to either HIDE or Menu, with Yes or No in it.
Any help would be appreciated. Im getting MMS's from others, can send pics via email and upload to Facebook, its sending out is what the problem is
well i tried sending a picture message to my buddy who has att or sprint, i am verizon, i pressed send and walked away, came back turned the screen on and had a notification saying that it failed. however he still got the message. this is the only one i have tried, as i don't send pics a lot. so i take people aren't getting your pics even though it says they fail?
Thanks for replying. Im a TMOBILE customer and on one of the pages around here, lol, I found a thread where I had to go in and change the address in the MMS settings to where it was going. If you are a TMOBILE customer and have any problems, let me know, I can walk you through how to set it up without issue, plus the 6.5 has a quick uploader for Facebook, much easier than sending a picture or video as an email

I seem to be having a problem that nobody else has had before, or nobody has brought up on this forum. I've had this problem on other ROMs too so I know something has to be set up wrong on my phone. I have done the MMSC set up and the tmobile MMS set up and it still won't seem to let them through. It say's "error synchronizing" without error reporting on, but when I turn it on it says there is a problem with "tmail.exe" and it shuts it down. I am running Kavana's v.24, and my clock on top is being moved to the left when trying to receive messages. It was working just fine, and through the night it was trying to receive an MMS and it stopped working. BTW, these MMS are actually emails forwarded from my t-mo mail because I do not have internet.
I would appreciate any help, but I feel this may not be enough information.

Give this a try? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2872304&postcount=5
Thank you, I had done this earlier this morning and for some reason it didn't work. Hopefully it keeps working.
Actually, I take that back. Does anybody have any ideas?
Hey guys,
Picked up a desire yesterday and its great, though I'm having some issues with sms. I notice I don't receive any texts until I send a text first, then I'll receive 2 or 3 texts, timestamped in the past, up to an hour ago!
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.
edit: unrooted on o2
i get a similar problem, i know i should have received a text message but it doeant show up for hours.
unrooted on tmobile uk
Most likely when your phone is connected over GPRS the text don't come through till you disconnect, used to happen on my N95.
So if my phone is operating in GPRS mode, until it decides it doesn't need the internet anymore and disconnects, it won't retrieve texts... right. So any workarounds or fixes for this?
Prety much, after I use GPRS I just made a call and during or after the call my text came in.
Been getting this all day, are people really just dealing with this or is it only a few people that have this issue?
I am having another problem... on T-mobile, my phone won't download MMS messages. It will just say Download error, General Network Failure... After it expired (3days) , I was sent a link to the T-mobile website, where I am able to see it for 14 days.
Another problem that I am having, the phone is struggling sending long text messages... 4 or 5 normal lenght messages 500-600 characters... I am using the Text App provided with the phone.
I have a problem that I dont think is an actual problem I think its just how the phone works, and tbh its a bit rubbish.
If you dont have signal when you hit send (im my office at work I only get signal on a little square of the desk) the phone says "message not sent". Sometime when it gets signal it will send the message, but if it doesnt get signal quick enough it seems to just give up sending.... a bit lame really....
I'm going to post a message up with the T-mobile UK MMS settings so people in future can find it on search. Have a look in 5 mins.
JAmes.
I've got the same issue with my HTC Desire.
My operator is a Belgium one, namely Mobistar.
I've got the impression that when i open the sms box, i start seeing the messages. Don't know if it's the communication that goes wrong, or the 'throughput' in the phone (screen, alerting...).
After installing (and using of course) chompSMS, this problem is gone... yipppie...
Cant figure this out, hope there is a hotfix. The order of my SMS messages are all screwed up. The messages that are sent to me show a completely different time than mine. This makes it very hard to have a conversation. I can send a message say at 2:00, and girl sends me a message back it will say like 6:53 and push all other messages out of order. This happens when anyone messages me. Im completely up to date. Any ideas?

MORE INFO PLEASE
rom,kernel,prl, network?
might wanna move this to q&a
This belongs in a different thread.
Try updating profiles or give it time. Sometimes its a network issue.
Future reference this should be in q n a.
Are you using the stock messages app? I thought I read once on XDA that someone else had an issue like this, but when using a 3rd party app, it worked fine. Maybe try that, and if it's not that, it's probably something with your network atm.
I have this problem when I'm roaming but the hours are just off, minutes are the same. Like if someone sends me something at 12:34 my phone will say 4:34. I assume its just because I'm roaming though.
The thread title is the error I'm getting. This, from what I can tell, is not the wifi issue.
I'm stock, rooted and I use GoSMS.
I have noticed recently that when I try to send a picture message that is the large clear resolution that is shows up pending for a long time and eventually wont send, probably due to it's large size. To resolve this, I have started doing the smallest resolution, and thus smallest size when I know I'm going to be sending it to someone.
This works to make sure it get sent, if it decides it can. I get the "Can't send message right now. Too many many unsent multimedia messages" To try and fix it I close GoSMS and all other apps, but usually it takes a reboot to get it to go through. There shouldn't be any messages trying to send, as they will usually give an error saying the message couldn't be sent. I don't like to delete messages so I have one thread with 8000+ messages, mix of sms and mms, so going through and deleting all of the sent messages isn't really an option.
I cannot replicate the problem right now to test and see if using the stock messaging app would fix the problem.
Is there some folder or something that stores the pending outgoing messages that I could look at and see the "unsent multimedia messages" are that cause this error?
Is there some other underlying issue, some kind of buffer, relationship between received mms and sending, or anything else like this?
Any help would be appreciated.
I have certain friends that use either ATT or Tmobile, and sometimes when they text, they go off and send maybe 4-6 texts one right after the other. If I try to text back as I'm receiving texts I get an error message, I think it says Error message 34. I also notice that if I try to send multiple texts like that, the little loading icon comes up and they slowly get sent off one by one. I had the same problem with my HTC EVO 3D on Sprint and even my Palm Pre, they're all so painfully slow when it comes to texting.
My only remedy around this has been to use Google Voice and text using data with my other number, but I don't really give it out to anyone so it wouldn't make sense to do that, plus it can't receive picture mail.
Is this just a flaw of Sprint? I'm using the oem texting app. If you want to replicate this issue, you could use google voice on your computer to try to send multiple texts to your phone and try to text back with your phone as you're receiving them. Your text will either hang there for a while and eventually send maybe 30-40 seconds later, or it will just error out and you have to manually resend it.
edit: just realized that this thread may be in the wrong section.. I don't see a delete option unfortunately :\
Yes it is in the wrong section. It should be in Q / A . Ask a Mod to please move it. As for your issue I would lean toward it being a Network issue. Reason being, I've run into it before. Check online, or call Sprint. Ask them if they are doing any work in your area. You can also try Updating PRL /Profile. If that still does not resolve it you can try ##72786# . That will reset your Data. Make sure you leave it alone, and let it finish.
