I can't get it to work. even did a fresh reset and it doesnt work
but it does work in opera.
is IE non fuctioning? or is there a trick?
using sprint and 6.1
I don't think the zoom bar is compatible with IE at the moment. It's only compatible on the Opera Browser.
I have a Tilt 2 and the zoom bar isn't work for me with Opera. Do you guys have a screen protector on your phone? Maybe mine is too thick or something.
that happened to me when i flashed a 6.5.1 rom on my phone it worked on the ie but not opera. idk why

Hi
i use your 1.17 version and i got some problem with Opera in lanscape mode when i rotate my phone.
I sometimes encountered a problem that when i rotated the phone while browsing web the opera browser rotated but then disappeared and back to the home screen. If i restart the phone the opera browser continued to work well
The same problem for GSen when i rotate the phone the screen change to lanscape mode but then disappear and back to the home screen. Is there any other program with the same features like Gsen but work well on your Rom ? Thank you very much.
You can try Gyrator2,

Flip it

or Changescreen (i prefer this one)

All apps tested and work fine on Touch HD
normally u can rotate your opera browser without another software right ?
What i want to know for the first question is the problem is from opera itself or from the room
I'll try your recommend software. What room do u use now
I'm using french original rom.
Opera must be in exclusion list of Gsen, gyrator2,... because he don't need additional app to rotate...perhaps you only need to exclude opera from gsen configuration ?
actually thing happened before i install gsen on my Touch HD and now when i install gsen it continued to happen and the same result for other app when i rotate my phone
Are you using pzucchel rom???
If yes, there's an update (v1.18), perhaps that solve your problem
i'm asking him if i still get the same problem maybe i will change to the original rom like u

I also had this problem.
It seems to have something to do with sdkcerts.cab or after installing a different icon in windows top bar.
Could also have something to do with GSen or Gyrator, but after uninstalling them the problem persisted.
I flashed to a different ROM, problem is now gone.
Which room are u using now ??
same problem here
I'm having the exact same problem. It has to do with sdkcert.cab and the new task bar with colored icons.
Don't know how to fix it yet.
Any ideas?
Same problem
I have the same problem.
Will change the color bar and update you.
Kind regards,

Any ideas? Landscape is a big feature for me, but I'd like to get some of the new stuff from 2.5 as well. So... is there any guess as to when landscape will work with more than two tabs?
Landscape sorta works on 2.5 (at least on Shadowline's ROM). SMS/Emails both go into landscape mode when typing with the keyboard. And Opera goes into landscape when the keyboard is slid open but it doesn't rotate with the G-sensor.
So it pretty much works where it counts. For example, landscape on the home screen is of little consequence.
Edit: I should mention that not all 2.5 ROMs work as well. I had some trouble with a Valkyrie ROM locking up when rotating back and forth between landscape and portrait. But the bottom line is that it does kinda work on some ROMs.
Thanks, I know it "kinda" works but I was wondering if anyone had any idea when it would "really" work.
since Manila 2.5 wasn't developed for a phone with a slide-out keyboard, i don't think we'll be seeing landscape support for a while. but who knows, a cook could figure out how to tweak it and have it working.
I need to know how to make the zoom bar work with opera 10.

I seem to remember a couple of cabs are around for that. I would suggest searching in your device's forum to make sure you get the appropriate one.
Pretty sure youre not gonna get your zoom bar working in 10, but there is a cab that will add more functionality to your zoom bar, called zoombarplus. it wont give you zoom capability in opera 10, but its worth having nonetheless. but with 10's 2 level zoom, the zoom bar just wont work to zoom like 9.7. but zoombarplus will let you scroll up n down pages in operya, but not nearly fast enough to be functional (but you can change the scroll speed in your registry, but its a little bit of work). My suggestion, get opera 9.7, its faster and has zoom bar functionality built in. and get zoombarplus too, it really is nice to have
Is there any version of opera that supports the zoom bar?

9.7 but you have to install a cab. This is the one I use.

I have 9.7 and have not installed that cab, but I'm not seeing any problem with the zoom bar yet.
What problem does that cab solve for Opera 9.7?

Nothing that I am aware of either. Opera 9.7 and zoombar should work by default.
That's right, the zoombar should work on 9.7 natively. But there was a minor glitch where some people have to edit the registry to state the correct .exe (just change it from Opera to opera, or vice versa, I don't remember). So if it already works, you have nothing to worry about.
9.7 and 10 can co-exist on the same phone (unless this has changed now that 10 is out of beta?), so you can install both and see which one you prefer. Personally, I find the scalable zoom on 9.7 is much more useful than only having the 2 levels of zoom on Opera 10.

Same here. By far.
It's a shame, too, because I liked 10 much better otherwise. No zoom (except for one "make it OMG big" setting) was a deal-killer, though.
There's this one function found both in the default web browser and Dolphin browser that I really would like to just go away. Maybe it's called zoom redraw, maybe it's called smart positioning or smart fit or something, I don't know.
But when you zoom in to a particular part of a web page real far, it seems to want to redraw or refit the page. This bugs me because I feel temporarily lost. I always find myself wishing that the view of the web page would just "stay there" right where it is as my fingers spread. But, sure enough, I lift my fingers from the screen, it shifts the page a little up or left or down or right and this is ANNOYING. Because what I have to do then is zoom in in small incriments so I can see where I actually am and make movement corrections for the zoom redraw and zoom some more.
It doesn't HAVE to be this way cause I notice that Xscope browser doesn't do this. Now, I like Xscope a bit aside from a few things I can't get used to. But my default browser at least for now is Dolphin. Is there a way to stop this from happening in Dolphin?
If you do the about:debug to get into settings enable "gep zoom" I think that might be what you are looking for. Hope that helps ya out.

This is right. This will disable the reflow after pinch-zoom. It will still reflow after double-tap.

Can you elaborate on this please? about:debut? Don't see about as a menu option and when I type in about:debug in the url field (firefox style), nothing happens. Hoe exactly do you do about:debug in Dolphin Browser?

Not sure about dolphin, but try anyway. They way it works with stock browser is put it in address bar without the http, and press go. It will seem like nothing happens screen stays the same, press menu button and go to settings, if it worked then you will have more setting options than usuall, now scroll down untill you see "gep zoom" and check the box. You might have to do this in the stock browser to get it to work and hopefully the setting will carry over to dolphin. If it doesn't maybe somebody that uses dolphin can chime in. try out and report back, hopefully it works for you.
about:debug does work, but resets when the browser is shutdown.

Wonder why? It doesn't with the stock browser...do the settings carry over from stock to dolphin? Try setting it in stock, and see if it works in dolphin. Probably not though since it's different software..
SUPER BuMP!
I would LOVE to know if there is SOME WAY IN HELL to get this done. i cant STAND having it redraw after pinch and zoom. if you want to re justify text, you double tap, thats just the way it is. everytime i try to zoom in on a button to hit it, it moves 3 screens worth of scrolling over. very annoying. This or finding a way to get the stock browser.apk to work in an htc kernel/rom would be just as good. ive looed up certain ways, but most dont work anymore or never worked in the first place.
about:debug is really working, I love you guys!
@ms79723
What do you mean with shutdown? The browser is never really shutdown, or not? I mean Android 2.2 keeps it in the background?
Ive updated to 4.2.1 and everything was improved until i tried the stock browser. One problem is that when tapping the tab button and scrolling between the pages i have open is laggy. Anothe annoyance is that the address bar never hides. It uses too much space. All this wasnt a problem on android 4.1.1. Im using stock 4.2.1

Yep. I noticed this too. However, it's smooth if you hold your finger on the screen, no matter how fast. If you flick your finger, lift your finger, and let it scroll, it gets laggy.
I suggest going to settings>labs>enable quick controls. I did not care for these on older versions, but i like it now. It will also hide the status bar.
