Many Problems

Well, I have been using my BA for about 4 months now, and I have come to realize, that I am missing some features and I have no idea why, or how to fix it to work properly.
I have T-Mobile and have full normal Text Messagign and Phone use, and Wifi works great.
My two main issues are:
MMS doesn't work, or have a setting to use
No Data Connection available
If someone can help me fix these issues that would be great, as right now I have no clue where to start.

What ROM are you using?
what operation system is on your PC?

I am using Xplode's 6.1 ROM, with XP

Try upgrading your ROM to one of the newer ones.
I am impressed with the one I have so far..

MMS Problems

Hi there! I just wanted to know if anyone is having the same problems. Im using 8525 with joshkoss' v11 m2d rom. with radio 1.56.70.11 and on the cingular network. and using arcsoft mms composer 4281
i can send mms to ANYBODY fine. I get MMS from cingular phones fine as well. But my friend (from Verizon) can send them fine too. But the problem is my girlfriend (verizon as well) can send them but i dont get anything. (she tried sending to her brother and it works) Her brother who is on the same network can send them but i get some of his mms. not all.
Is it my end of the network or they would have to figure it out with verizon?
Or is it a program that i have thats causing this? maybe upgrade the arcsoft???

I have your setup without any issues. I would maybe rerun the connection setup wizard but I dont think that would fix it. Another good way to test is send yourself an MMS, it will show you if you can send and receive properly.
Right now I am having a similar problem with SMS and my gf on Sprint. If I send 2 texts she always gets them right after I send them but sometimes when I send just 1 it will take up to 30 mins for her to get it. We have tried everything to fix it and she is the only one I have a problem with so it might just be an unlucky mismatch somewhere beyond your control like my situation.

The settings are good. i can send/recieve fine with cingular members. i can send fine with her (and other friends with verizon) fine. All of my mms they received. But I cant receive hers, only some from her brother, and most of it from a friend. So its weird. But i did a hard reset hopefully that will fix it.
Oh and a side note, does hard resetting josh's rom will have the HR problem? Do i have to install stock rom and reflash rom instead of just hard resetting the phone? Or hard resetting the phone wont have much problems?

Before I flash any ROM I use the official AT&T WM6 striped ROM. I have have zero problems with HR on the Winter ROM but others have given me problems even after flashing the ATT ROM first.

yes i did that too on my initial flash of the v11 m2d rom.
but i just did a hard reset to flush out the phone and start again. So we will see if HR would come out after the manual hard reset.

if not dude, check out my winterrom, also the lighter version DarkWinter will be out very soon, I've confirmed that mms is working, at least for me on latest arcsoft

I've had the same issue with Verizon uses, regardless of ROM, including the stock AT&T WM6. It comes and goes, working instantly on one day, and not at all the next.

Thank you, are those roms m2d as well? i just absolutely love the m2d. But i have deduced the problem to be network related, not your rom. So I did the manual hard reset, installed the v5 arcsoft from the device update (i like v4 better, cause it splits mms and sms, but i might as well use the latest) and so far its working. MMS from my girfriend and her brother does take a bit of time to get to me, at least i got her MMS for once!

That is true, i think the problem is with the network not rom. Thanks for the reply

MMS has always been hit or miss with me. Even with a correct setup, sometimes I won't receive MMS from my girlfriend either, which always prompts me asking her if she always receives mine.
I've flashed dozens of ROMS, ran configuration setup, manually entered settings for MMS and I always get the same results - hit or miss.
I'm going to assume its the AT&T network. SMS is fine, its the MMS.

Anyone got Teamviewer working

I used Teamviewer on my HTC Desire without any problems but I can't get it to load on the S2. Anyone had any luck with this?

no problem with this app, works good but sometimes i have to disconnect and reconnect because the desktop is not shown

Working fine for me. I use it on 3g and wifi with no probs. at all.
I have tryed it on Villian 1.1 Rom, and Lightning Rom 1.3

Thanks for the replies, but now I'm at a loss as to why I can't run it on my S2... I just get a black screen and nothing happens...

i also have it working on my SGSII with villainRom 1.2 with no problems(may be a bit slow but could be i need to practice more xD) via wi-fi...i havent try it via 3G, could that be your problem?

No problem for me either. just used it few minutes ago while eating outside. everything was okay on wifi and 3g as well.

Navigate to settings. Place a check mark against Remove wallpaper and set the Quality to Optimized Speed

working with no problem, Official ROM KE7, rooted...

Is there something wrong with my phone then?
When I run it, it just hangs at a black screen and then it force closes.

But I can't anything in common for the people that it doesn't work for... I'm going to find a tightVNC client for the time being. Real shame because I've been using teamviewer on about 20 desktops till now

What ROM r u using, Its working fine on my Device..

Running stock KE7 rooted using CF-Root v4.0

Im having problems with it as well... villainRom 1.0
It works with 3G connection but stuck on "Connecting to server - please wait" when I try to work via wifi.
Might be that I am trying to work via my company wifi. Should make no difference as it works from wifi laptop to the PC.
Might be I missed some configuration?

Works great for me. Just on the stock setup.

Working fine while i checked through wifi. But i couldnt do any mouse clicks, dont know why.

its working without problems on me.
tested with stock rom,lightining 1.4/1.5, cognition 1.7/1.8 all without problem on 3G and wifi.

Installed bulk standard from teamviewer site on Galaxy S2. No problems. Works like dream. How functional/uesful it is is another matetr on such a small screen !
But it works.

2 common problems that I've always had issues with

Alright, I’ve had Sourcery JB on my phone for a while now. V4.3
Over time these are the problems I just can’t understand and need some light shined on them please.
The GPS:
Is a joke. It has NEVER been accurate one single time since I’ve installed the rom. It’s always 2000+m OFF. what the faq? All my apps are updated, what’s the deal?
Sending pictures:
I use GOSMS. However, I CANNOT for ANYTHING send pictures via text in this app. I have to go through the native app every single f’ving time and that only works 50% of the time. Wtf is going on here? Is it AT&T? Is it the rom or my phone or what?
Would going back to stock JB fix all these issues? I love the ROM(s) but the problems listed above are VERY important to get working as they are some of most basic functions phones have.
I almost just updated to JBSourcery V5 and tried sending picture using default text msg app. Still, same results. It won’t f’ving send.
Please help.

Not sure about your GPS issues - mine has always been pretty quick to lock regardless of the ROM I'm using.
But in regards to your problems with MMS messaging - I had the same issue on every ROM, including stock until I switched to AOKP. I called ATT to make sure everything on their end was as it needed to be. Double and triple checked my APN settings, all to no avail. Not sure what it was about this particular ROM, but since flashing, I haven't had any issues.

Sense 5 Rom Comments

I've got a low post count but wanted to weigh-in on the current version of the Sense 5 rom.
I'm using T-Mobile, so not sure if my issues are related to my carrier or not...
1) Bluetooth isn't working. Turning it on does not result in anything...it goes fro turning on to off. Assuming it's the HTC One S ril that the rom is based on casuing this problem.
2) HTC Messages (the stock messenger) will not let me click a link in the message. If someone send me a text with an external link, and I go to click it, it causes Messages to force quit. I can use 3rd part apps and it works fine. Just an FYI...
3) HTC Locations doesn't work but I believe that is a Sense 4/ Sense 5 issue.
Everything else seems to be working. I am using this as my daily rom and haven't had any troubles (besides the ones mentioned above).

when I used it the dailer would freeze and fc and data wouldnt stay on 4g or h

More insights:
Camera works but the facial recognition seems to be wonkey. I've turned it off so as not to see it jumping around like crazy.
Video...not sure if this is working. I do know that it comes on and the camera crashes and I have to restart.
FM radio...not a deal-breaker, but if I stick a pair of headphones in - the tuner never lets go and stations can't be tuned in.
GPS...saw that was one of the 'not working' apps. I don't really use it for navigation...as long as you've got wifi it seems to be able to locate but driving with it is impossible as it doesn't seem to know where you or or lock your position in.
I've been using this since JMZ updated the last version (so 2 weeks?). Haven't had a problem. And none of these, for me, make this rom unusable...it would just be nice to have a fully working one with Sense 5.

I will work on it some more when I get my oc back as my desktop is old and slow.
