Send Sms from Touch Pro 2 via other bluetooth device? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hello, I have a sim from t-mobile. But not all my friends have t-mobile. With another prepaid sim, i can send 5 sms for the price of 1 sms sent via t-mobile to a non t-mobile number. So my question is:
Can I type my long sms messages on the Touch Pro 2 and send the sms via bluetooth from another bluetooth enabled device (cheap mobile phone) which has the prepaid sim with cheap sms prices?
(Writing Sms on the Pro 2 is so easy and cool, don't want to go back to the middle ages typing t9 on a keypad)
I want to type sms on my MDA Vario V, because on it i can type fast.
But I don't want to send the sms through the sim card in the MDA Vario V, but via another mobile device which is bluetooth enabled.
Does this work?
Do you know any sms writing software for wm6 and touch pro 2?
I ask espially for the pro 2 because the bluetooth stack has been changed there. So I don't know if all software is compatible with it.

TrueFax included with MDAIII ?

Just been looking through the manual of my MDA III and it mentions the use of TrueFax (Pages 131 to 134), great I thought, that will come in handy. But I can't find it on my MDAIII?
Is it included? I've looked on the CDs but one is for activesync and the other contains the voice dialing software.
I've even downloaded it and installed it, but its says thats it a trial version.
Thanks
Richard
Just did a hard reset - sorted..
Cheers anyway!
Well happy now! - Free software!
Voice dialling ?
Hi,
i just got my Qtek9090 today and still comparing it with my qtek2020. What voice dialling software are you talking about ?? I found true fax on mine, installed from ext rom, but i can't seem to find any voice dialling....
care to trade ?????
hihihihihihiihi
Its called 'Fonix VoiceDial'. My MDAIII came with version 2.0
Its clever, in that you say the person's name and number type, for example:
'Richard Mobile' and it says it back to you (in a computer voice) then you have to say 'Yes' or 'No' to confirm dialling.
Not very handy in that you have to start it up, via opening the software, so not very hands free!

Thanks, what happened was I cocked up the first 'hard reset' - when I first switched it on...
Sync'd it with Outlook and hard reset it, and its sorted
Thanks!
wich i could say the same......
I've set the voice dial to the record button on the side of the MDAIII for quick dialing.
So simple, yet so difficult for Richard.
Thanks! - What a cracking idea
I-mate must not be including Fonix with their PDA2K units.
Folks I've got a question for those of you that have a PDA2K/MDAIII does the fax software work? Cuse I can send faxes fine but can't recieve any, and apparently I'm not the only one if you take a look at the clubimate forums.
If it does work for you folks could some kind individual post the cab file for it from their extended rom.
Fax does work, but...
True Fax does work really well in sending faxes, once I had figured out I had it I had sent a fax within minutes.
Now receiving faxes, thats a different story:
With T-Mobile there are two different services:
Service 1 (Free to use for business customers)
First you need to ask your operator for a fax number on your account. With T-Mobile its apart of their VoiceMail+.
This enables you to receive faxes to your voice mail. So you can receive faxes, but they don't get to your pda :-( , when you recieve a fax, you get a voicemail message saying that you have a fax, you can then either delete it or sending to a 'real' fax machine.
Service 2 (£25 one off cost)
To receive faxes on our I-MatePDA2k you need to ask your operator for a fax and data line. once you have a fax and data number you can actually receive faxes on your PDA, but not how you would expect....
With your PDA you need to turn on the 'recieve fax mode' within TrueFax. This enables you to receive faxes, but it turns off your mobile number so you can't make or receive calls  when in this mode.
Vodafone in the UK have 'vodafone.net' which incorporates SMS/Email/Voice/Fax into one and I do really miss that service, becuase when I recieved a fax it came to me as an email attachment.
Hope that helps
TrueFax..SPV M2000
Hi everybody,
I have SPV M2000 fron Orange in Switzerland.
It doesn't seem to have TrueFax installed at all.... :x
Is there a way to get this program for free or I have to buy it?
thanks in advance

I'm afraid Fax support is completely network dependant. Some providers support it, some don't. You will need to ring your provider and ask them about it. Even if they do support it, they will probably give you another "fax only" number that people must send faxes to in order for your device to receive them.
O2
Hi
Just to let people know, that the O2 Online Consumer tarriff does not and will not support fax send/recieve (this came from the horses mouth).
O2 Online Business tarriffs do support fax and they will allocate a fax no for the mobile. Ditto Consumer and Business O2 tarrifs bought from an O2 shop.
If you need fax, avoid O2 Online Consumer tarrifs as they will not enable fax.

Disable incoming calls

Hello smart people,
Does anyone know how tot disable incoming calls on the MDAIII (without turning the phone off and without diverting the call to voicemail). The point is: I have a duo sim card. I use the MDA only for mail, agenda and navigation and I use my nokia as a phone. Every next call - after I send/receive my mail through GPRS - goed to my MDA, and not on the Nokia. This is annoying.
Any ideas??
thnx
you could try asking you service provider for a data only contract for you mda

nope !! but it can block all incoming Voice call...
also nice, but not what I need....
I dont understand the question. You have a dual sim and two phones, the mda you use only for data and not voice, the nokia you use for calls. Why have you got a dual sim, surely one sim in each would sort out the problem. :?: :?: :?: CONFUSED
By dual SIM, he meant one SIM in his PPC and another SIM in his Nokia, both having the same phone number.

Excalibur T-Mobile Voicemail not working

hi guys
I have an unlocked HTC S620 and I would like to know how to get the voicemail to work with T-Mobile. I have been sent the settings and the phone is upgraded to WM6.1 but also T-Mobile recognises my phone as an MDA Mail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean 'working' dialing 123 on the T-Mobile will connect you to T-Mobiles voice mail. If you want the phone to auto dial voice mail when you long press number 1 you need to edit shortcut for key 1 if you want T-Mobile to alert you upon a new voice mail you need to call T-Mobile and enter in the information they give you. The voice mail alert is simply a text message trigger that you actually never see... as long as you have the correct text message service center number entered in your phone settings you should be good.

No sms on sim2

I am using two SIM cards with my Zenfone 2, one Italian and one German. I am in Italy. There is no problem sending or receiving SMS messages via SM card 1 (Italian), but I can neither send nor receive SMS messages via SIM card 2 (German). There is no problem making calls or receiving calls on Sim card 2. I the checked and found that the sms number for sim2 was not correct. It should begin with +49 (German country code), but the phone does not accept "+". I put it in, press OK, and later found that "+" is missing.
I have another dual sim phone (Lenovo) that I have been using for years and I never had any problem with SMS messages. If I stick the same two sim cards, which are only party working in my Zenfone, into the Lenovo phone than they are working fine.
Is there anybody out there who either has the same problem I have (no sms service on sim2 and impossibility to enter correct smsc number), or who has a solution to this problem. It can't be that I am the only zenfone 2 user who has this problem.
Hello Vieland
I have the same issue. I also can not add "+" to the number of the SMS center for card in slot 2. Yesterday while troubleshooting with my son, he made a phone call for this SIM card and straight away after that has sent SMS which went through. He sent one more in 15 second which also came through. But this was it We could not repeat this later.
We tried with the only SIM in slot 2 (no SIM in slot 1) but this did not help.
Have you found any workaround yet?
Does 00 instead of + work?

dual sim and contact groups

Since yesterday I'm the proud owner of an OP3.
Today I have inserted the 2nd sim for all my business call, but this is where the questions starts raising
I thought it was just 'normal' the create contact groups and have the phone automatically pick sim 1 or 2 based on the contact group a contact is in.
So this brings me to 2 main questions I have:
- Is it possible to set-up contact groups? (I can see the options within the contacts app)
- Is it possible to have an automatic profile for contact using sim 1 or sim 2?
- (is it also possible to send all contact over sim 2 based on the app where the phone numbers are in? For business purposes I use Good for Enterprise for mail and contacts. It would be awesome to select a contact in this app and to dail the number over sim 2)
Thank you
Need near the same here.
It Will be really great to separate contact form sim and allow to configure a default sim card to use depending on number called.
I use Dual SIM Selector from the store. You can assign individual numbers, contacts or groups to each SIM.
I have a work group setup to assign colleagues to my work SIM. If a call from a new number comes in then calling it back will automatically use the SIM where the call was received.
My options are also set to prompt which SIM when calling a new number, but default to personal SIM if I don't choose within 5 seconds. This means I don't have issues when on hands-free in the car.
I really can't understand why they release dual SIM phones without these features as standard. My last 3 dual SIM phones, and my wife's Mi 5 Pro are all the same. That's how I stumbled across Dual SIM Selector
Or use True Phone
