hi guys. i had the same problem with an opera when i used it within an WiFi connection. After performing an exit i got a freeze and had to soft reset. I found the cure only just to install opera build 9.7.
No need to post query in 2 separate forums. Once is enough. In future try to abide by forum rules. 1st & last warning

Hi everyone,
I hope it's OK to point to this thread from here, I think I put the post
in the wrong category originally? But I need some advice please?
Also this should be better than simply duplicating the other thread?

Thanks for looking - Michael
the problem here is when you install an app that is OK and does not reset you will notice the OK button appearing in the top right hand corner, that app install is ok.
If you install an app and it finishes installing but you don't see the OK in the top right corner then I guarantee this will make your orbit soft reset round and round in circles.
Only way round this is to execute the program or try removing the program BEFORE soft reseting your device.
Thanks for the info
Hi, what you say sounds very interesting and I shall now start to
re-install some things taking into account what you said.
If this is actually the problem and the fix I shall be most grateful
and relieved at finding out. This has been driving me crazy for ages!
Will follow up and let you know how I go on in the coming days/weeks?
Thanks again - Michael
Sorry - did not work out
Hi All,
Well what can I say? I have been very careful and am STILL with this lousy
problem! Had enough, feel like chucking the rotten thing in the bin!
Would it be any good or easy for me to update the ROM, WM5, or anything
else that may help? It is already unlocked.
It's no good to me if I am not able to run the programs that I want, unless
they are known to cause problems? But right now it's about impossible to
discover what is causing this? Could it be a combination of programs?
If so, I have no chance of working it out?
All the best to you, Michael
Just a quick line to say that it would probably be best to visit this thread

to post any further replies PLEASE? - Thanks, Michael
P.S. It could be worthwhile if you have this problem too?
First of all, let me just say that I love this forum. I learned so much from it and I do appreciate the hard work that everyone does on it and contributions that are made on it.
I am lodging a formal complaint about the forum itself. I know XDA has an Android app of the forum in all it's glory, and it is a great app (could use some improvements, but that's another story) and I do use it constantly.
However, I also have Opera Mini and I have XDA on my speed dial to quickly go to my beloved G1 forum. This morning, I went to XDA through Opera after getting an error code ls2 on the XDA app, and what do I get???? A pop-up nagware box that says that you have a native app.
While that is fine for the first time I go to XDA, it is NOT fine anymore when the box pops up every time I go to a thread. EVERY TIME! If I click OK, I can proceed to the thread I want to read... If I click cancel... oops... Opera freezes and I don't get to go on.
Guys... I like both OK and I have my reasons to keep using the browser and not the app to access these forums. Can you just nag me once or not at all, please?
Thanks.
I've moved the thread to the correct sub-forum, our tech admins don't frequent off topic too often .
I'll ask someone to have a look at this for you.

Sorry about this. It was only supposed to tell you ONCE that there is an app available, not multiple times. We turned off this function for now until we fix it, so you shouldn't see the pop up.
Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate all the hard work.
You may also want to change the title
Sounds like the issue is with Opera, not XDA. Since it works just fine with the stock browser, and even firefox with UAString changed.
Opera may not have the correct cookie information being sent or received.
Hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can help me with an issue I'm experiencing on another forum. Basically I can log on ok and browse all threads, but when I try to post a new thread or a reply, it won't let me. By that I mean I click the post reply button and get a window similar to this forum, but when I click in the text window it just goes completely green and doesn't bring up the keyboard.
I have tried using both the stock and swype keyboards and both the stock browser and dolphin with the same result.
It must therefore be this particular forum however I wondered if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution
this maybe nothing to do with your problem but some forums wont let you post until you have posted in specific areas like the "introductions" area etc. If its not this then maybe its a flash or java issue. Try posting from your PC, if you can then it must be flash or java or maybe even the browser you are using on the phone. Let us know any updates. All the best
James
Every thread I try to read forwards to an ad that isn't working too well. ads.pubmatic.com is trying to resolve or load on the browser bar and I have to kill i and go back then stop it before it loads to read anything on the site
Seems to only be affecting my FireFox as Chrome doesn't do this. Or I guess it is my own issue. If no one else is experiencing this please go ahead and remove this thread.
If you find any kind of problems with apps you can post it here and get replies from others. I think it is better to make a single thread for all app problems instead of making new threads.
My problem :
cant login to instagram app. When i press login after entering details. waiting circle animation appears and then disappears and nothing happens. Facing this problem since stock 4.1. Facing the same on ARHD 31.
Hi,
You're unlucky with your app, but wrong section I think... Post here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1548
And a single thread for all apps will be a great mess in terms of research..
