Xperia X1 - Internet Explorer/Web'n'Walk?

hi there
ive searched everywhere i can think of but i cant find the relevant topic or answer for my problem.
basically, i bought the Xperia X1 off the internet, it was on o2, but was then unlocked..i used my t-mobile sim card with no problem at all.
last week, i upgraded my sim card to a Solo 20 deal, which has unlimited internet. Now i cant use that internet becuase i need the connection codes. does anyone know where i can get those connection codes?
and also, if i use the pre-installed internet explorer or the Opera browser, will this charge me outside of the unlimited Web'n'Walk becuase i dont have Web'n'Walk installed on the phone seeing as it was on o2.
if i need Web'n'Walk, how do i get it onto my phone?

new to HTC Touch Pro 2 T7381

I have a Telstra branded HTC Touch Pro 2 T7381 which i have put my 3 prepaid sim into. I can use the phone for calls no problems but i can no longer access any internet features. It has no icons or links to Planet 3 and when i open a browser it does not connect even though i have a data plan on my sim.
Can someone tell me what im doing wrong or need to do in order to get rid of the Telstra stuff and enable me to access the internet via my 3 sim.

Well, firstly, putting a SIM card in won't magically make any icons to Planet3 appear. You can visit Planet 3 by going to http://three.net.au. But first we need to get your net working.
Have you run the connection wizard? What access point are you using? Make sure that there is a Planet3 access point setup, and not just "The Internet".
Reports I've heard are that Telstra are responsible for the repairs of the TP2 and as such, if you return it to them, it must have the Telstra ROM on it or the warranty is void. So just be careful if you want to flash the phone to a new ROM.
As to get 'rid of the Telstra stuff', you can try this link: http://www.watsons-online.com/HTC_Touch_HD_tweaking_files/Removing_Telstra_customisation.pdf which was recommended on another site. I haven't used it so I can't vouch for how good it is, plus it seems it is for an older version, Touch HD, so it may or may not work. One user said that it didn't work and that it screwed up TF3D. So try it at your own risk.

Im wondering if the device supports bands OTHER than telstras. Let us know how ya go. Does it have a H up near the clock?

Hi, I hope your connected with internet working by now.
Just in case I received my TP2 today.
I went here http://xseries.three.com.au/3/three/mobiles_plans/3SIM/FAQs/USIM_Guide.pdf
and got the settings.
Basically go to the phone settings. then to Communications. Then click on set up data connection. Select "Add a new modem connection" then name the connection "Planet3". Under select a modem change it to Cellular Line (3gprs, 3G). Click next set access point name to 3services. Then click next, then click finish (don't need any settings on the last page). Now you have to use the IE browser and point it to the following webpage. http://three.net.au/hb/htct7272/HutchKey
and your done... you can turn the data connection on and off as you need it.

[Q] 3g gps not working htc tilt 2 with t-mobile

hello All,
I got a AT&T HTC touch pro 2 (tilt 2) from my friend who had got it unlocked from AT&T as he got upgraded to a new phone. I am using a t-mobile prepaid on the touch pro 2. I have got couple of issues with it.
1. The UI responds very slowly.
2. The data connection icon displays E. When I called up the t-mobile customer care they response varies a lot. One says i need to unlock the device from AT&T and others says i will be able to use only Edge as its not a device provided by t-mobile.
3. The GPS doesnt seem to work. When ever i used Bing. It says that its not able to connect.
I have a request is there any customisable rom that would help in over coming these issues.

I have a T-Mobile TouchPro 2 I've been using an AT&T SIM in, and I can tell you exactly what's up- The ROM is probably trying to refresh stuff in the background and it's not working because it's expecting an AT&T SIM. Try another ROM. As far as 3G, not gonna happen. T-Mobile's 3G runs on different bands than the AT&T 3G. The T-Mobile SIM wouldn't even start up the phone if it wasn't unlocked. And I think the GPS settings might be wrong, try fiddling around with the COM ports in Settings, but make sure you make a note of what they were before. I'd recommend a custom ROM, not to solve the problems you speak of necessarily, but it runs a lot faster, and won't have all the AT&T bloatware that's kinda useless to you. Oh, and if you don't have Connection Manager setting everything up for you in your ROM, make sure you set your APN.

HELP PLEASE! Do I need to root when I have phone network connection problems

I Just received my HTC incredible 2 phone from Ebay, it was supposed to be unlocked and with a 16G Micro SD. Well I didn't get the SD and the phone seems to be locked. I bought a unlock code but the phone does not even give me a chance to put the numbers in. I like the phone and like the HTC sense, if I rooted it I would want the same set up but without the Verison crap!
This is what happens.
1st on start up it asks for my pin code to the sim
2nd The Pop up "sim card is not vailid please insert a Verison sim cad"
3rd Then the pop up "Change Mode No network found select global" I enter (yes)
When I go into Wirless networks/ mobile networks/prefferd network
I select GSM/UMTS mode, then select GSM only. It Pops up "Sim Lock can not use phone unless for emergency only.
During the time it wants to defaul to CDMA and does come up with the pop up asking to change to Global Mode.
I live in Costa Rica and there are three carriers.
My questions are:
1.) Do i need to root?
2.) Can I install the HTC sense apps and software with out the Verison.
3.) Is there a work around for this with out rooting?
Again it seems like a great phone and I want to use this to the fullest functions.

I don't think rooting will help with network related issues though but for device specific help you should check out the incredible 2 forums.

Unable to connect to metro pcs phone or data network

I purchased an unlocked zoom that I cannot get connected to metro pcs network. The sim from my zte zmax is same size so I thought I'd be able to at worse change some apn settings & go but have gotten no-where. This phone has single sim & sd slot. I get greyed out signal bars & I believe a red x. It can see t-mobile lte network & others but I don't see metro....which is the same as t-mobile. I can see metro's on the other phone. I'm trying to not go thru metro since they'll deactivate the old phone for sure & I want to keep it as back up if needed. Is there a trick to getting this to work. I thought it was as simple as moving the sim from 1 & installing in another. Any help is appreciated.

Had to get carrier to scan imei# to enable phone. now working as expected.
