Hello,
i have a new HTC Touch pro 2
how can i delete the Tmobile theme,software & add's
the phone is simlock free
but the adds are irritating me ,
how can i get the orginal htc theme & softwares
I don't know if this will work on the TP2, but on previous phones if you didn't want the carrier's crap installed, do a Hard Reset & right after it shows the WM splash screen do a Soft Reset so that the configuration doesn't start up.
You may want to try that.
is HARD-SPL safe ??
because i installed HARD-SPL on my HTC TOuch pro 1 , and it was tottaly bricked, i couldnt start
& what kind of HARD SPL do i need ?
ah its done now, thankyouu
i installed hard-spl and than flashed with official patch

Hello,
i've browsed for hours through this forum but two questions aren't still clear to me concerning the dutch t-mobile mda compact iii version.
1.Is it currently possible to remove the simlock (unlock) via the "all in one simlock remove tool"? (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=240784)
2.Is it possible to update rom's of tmobile?
3.Is it possible to update these tmobile roms with plain ones lacking all the pink tmobile stuff?
Sorry for these newbee questions but they're still not clear to me, please hope for an answer

1. Not to my knowledge, no, not yet possible. The simlock seems to be calculated differently than previous models, therefore the tool doesn't work.
2. I don't know.
3. Yes, do a hardreset first. Than, just before the extended rom is loading, do a softreset. In that case, all the specific T-Mobile stuff is not loaded. You may miss some applications though. If it is just the pink color you don't like, try another skin.
hard reset is done by:
Going to setting --- system --- Storage Remove (opslag wissen voor jou & mij)
than when everything is gone, it will reboot
than when it loads you will see a progress bar, then do the soft reset,
all the tmobile stuff is gone (exept the dailer, its still pink in mine)
Dutch TMobile Rom
Hi,
I also look for a Ducth Mobile rom

I rememberd this from my SDA1 and MDA PRO, after the hard reset immediatley a soft reset, but my dialer is blue?Install the iPhone dialer version from http://rapidshare.com/files/12980142/Dialpad_iPhone.rar.htm (seen at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291727&highlight=theme ), and then uninstall it and the original blue version comes back.
Only thing remains ping is the pincode screen at boot-up....

I've installed this ROM succesfully on my MDA Compact III
But now I'm looking for the HTC Home plugin, Cube and Touch Flo that works with this official T-mobile WM6 Dutch ROM
I don't want to flash an entire new dutch WM6 ROM, I just want to have a proper HTC Home plugin.
I tried to install an english version of the plugin but that leaves the plugin as empty space.
Where can I find it?
Didn't try the ROM yet, but here are two mirrors:

I installed the new WM6 from T-Mobile but in the bottom of the screen there are some quicklinks to several programs but I don't want that.
Is there any way in removing this?
In registry remove the following:
Go to the keyname HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init find and Launch92 and edit the value from TryAp.exe to _TryApp.exe

A simple google search for 'htc home plugin' brought me here. I don't know if it works on the dutch version; maybe you'd have to change the settings. I think B&B roms have a program for that, or else the dutch touch rom.

Hi, i had the same problem, the ugly pink commManager.
I tried to change the it to the standard htc commManager, but that give a error.
But now it's working.
Use the uspl program, after the reboot install the standard htc commManager.cab and it will work.
anyone having problems with this rom?
i installed the one i downloaded from t-mobile.nl software downloads.
and now all the phone is giving all the sounds through the large speaker instead of the normal one where you have to hold you phone to your ear.
tried flashing back to the touch 3.01, but still all the sounds come from the wrong place, like speakers is always turned on during calling.
any ideas?
To install this on my Orange M650
i have tounlock the phone first ?
then can i use both a t-mobile and an orange SIMcard ?
( not simultaniously )

Great! Thanks!
Another question (which I cant find the answer to).. How do I go back to the stock spl? I have unsigned hard spl on here at the moment.
Also, do you know which version of the radio the Compact IV is shipped with in the UK?
I'm guessing the order to do things is..
1. Flash original radio
2. Flash original ROM
3. Remove hard spl..
Your help would really be appreciated! Thanks.
T-Mobile MDA Compact IV (Diamond/Victor) stock ROM/SPL
Hi beauchampy,
The Radio and Rom will be flashed together with the file previously linked:
RUU_Victor_TMO_UK_1.37.110.3_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship.exe
The default SPL for T-Mobile stock from September until present day is 1.37
This should be the last thing to be flashed.
I have attached a zip with all the necessary files you need (credit to cmonex http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2324829#post2324829).
Un-zip the archive, connect via activesync.
Copy "SSPL-Manual.exe" to your device (any directory)
Run SSPL-Manual.exe on the device - screen should go black...
Start "ROMUpdateUtility.exe" in the PC as usual for rom update.
Best regards,

Aside..Im done with t-mobile after this contract expires. Support is rubbish and really with the diamond they have put near to zero investment with keeping up with HTC's rom/radio releases. If they arent going to put the money to keep up with this then how about not doing your own awful pink and white version and brand the phone to high heaven. Then you wont have to re-develop something thats already available just to customise it to t-mobile. Leave the phone as it is and keep in line with HTC's releases. The other problem is the total lack of accessory support for the compact 4. Rant over. Apart from, Pink and white...whoever thought of that..
So enough about the ROM already, how about the SPL?!??!! Can I use this one or is there a Dutch SPL out there???
Anywayz... I didnt need the T-Mobile support afteral. Because I had to wait for the ROM update too long back then I began to flash ROMs. Thanks XDA for that.
My next phone wont be a T-Mobile branded device, might not even be a HTC device... That long expected Sony Ericson X2 makes me horney, and its finally coming out!!!
offtopic
Oh never mind about the X2, it uses the same chip set as his predecessor, the X2 is already the biggest disappointment of 2010...
Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me out with detailed instructions.
I am faily new to the world of PDA's and smart phones.
I just bought HTC touch Pro 2 from Telstra. Its all customised with Telstra/Bigpond.
My question is how can I remove Telstra customisation completely from the phone?
FYI,
Device Information.
Rom Version: 1019.841.3 (51489) WWE
Rom Date: 06/04/2009
Radio Version: 3.44.25.27
Windows 6.1
Your help would be highly appreciated. Also, could you please provide complete steps for the solution you provide.
Thanks for your help
Nothing much you can do. You can flash a custom ROM if you want to totally remove Telstra stuff.
Having said that there are some good stuff in Telstra ROM. Free web browsing to certain sites (BigPond, Sensis, Yellow Pages, Trading Post, etc.....) And there are free apps like WhereIs where the data download is not counted towards your usage. And there are 2 free apps Jetcet Print and Jetcet Presenter. The former for printing directly from phone and the latter for creating/editing Powerpoint slides.
But if you don't want any of these, you can always flash a custom ROM of your choice.
Yep just flash a custom rom simple
If you don't mind me asking, did you buy the phone outright or on a plan?
If outright, how much did you pay?
i'd like to get rid of the the telstra things too
phrak, i just bought mine yesterday at harvey norman, it was $1479 outright and with extended warranty (ex wty was 99)

Well you can always flash a cooked ROM if you like. I haven't yet as I'm quite happy with the Telstra ROM. I don't like the purple color theme so I installed another theme. I am quite happy with what I have got so far. Would wait for Telstra WM6.5 upgrade and see if it is any good.
You can manually remove Telstra items by editing registry

Hi Guys
anyone know how i can get back my Original Telstra rom !
thanks
Touch Pro 2 Sprint on NextG
Hi I just got a Touch Pro 2 Sprint CDMA GSM version from the USA. I know you'd probably wonder why but because it has the inbuilt 3.5mm headphone jack. I unlocked everything on the phone and changed the radio to the 2.05.00WU (USCC test edited) version, changed the ROM to try the 6.5.3 energy rom. I know the phone supports CDMA 850. But aren't sure if it's now possible to get it to work on NextG.
Is anyone able to confirm if it's possible? I think it runs on the CDMA2000 1X 1900/800 band. And from what I've been reading it mightn't support the 2100 band, so mightn't be able to get it to work at all.
I'd like one with the headphone jack but like the keyboard also. Don't really want a Touch HD2 thought they would be alright with the 1Ghz CPU.
My problem is the Telstra Next g version is a Rhod110, not Rhod100. This means that when attempting to put Hard SPL on my brand new toy it comes up with a "fatal error"... No way am I gonna try putting a new rom on without Hard SPL... Soft SPL just freezes the whole thing and the only fix is to pull the battery...
Its also a different series from the other touch pro 2 available, 7381, not 7373...
Guess I'm stuck with the bloated stock rom until Telstra releases a wm6.5 rom or a new Hard SPL or Soft SPL are conjured up....
Downloaded the file enablerapinew.cab, able to flash Hard SPL... SWEET....
I have the same problem !
Hi there, it sounds like Im in the same boat as you are or were... I also have a RHOD110 from Telstra but I want to upgrade it to win 6.5 and I'm just not sure which ROM will be applicable a) for this model or b) for the Australia service (3g)
I wonder did you manage to get this sorted out and would you be kind enough to give me any info that may help from your own experence ?
Thanks in advance !

Download & install enablerpinew.cab. You should then be able to Hard SPL.. I also have Rhod110 from Telstra.
Next G works fine, its a hardware feature so it will always pick up Next G, but you may need to get the GPRS settings from Telstra and manually input them.
Use Manual Hard SPL if auto doesn't work, just need to install enablerpinew.cab 1st, and only once... After that any rom works finre...
Cheers...

I have an import RHOD100 that I bought SH. I have Flashed it with both the Aus Telstra Roms and neither seems to access 3G signal. Does this mean the phone physically cant or is there something else I can do???
FYI it actually gets better coverage than my Snap did and that was a telsta phone. But I dont know what the coverage will be like further out of town.
Im running:
1.86.710.3 WWE Rom
4.49.25.17
RHOD100
T7373
i myself want an RHOD110 because of the fact it is the AU model :/
i THINK I BRICKED THE PHONE, I TRIED TO UPLOAD THE ROM AND THE FILE WAS CORRUPT SO IT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROCESS NOW THE PHONE FREEZES ON THE HTC SPLASH SCREEN AND CANT CONNECT TO ACTIVE SYNC SO AM I STUCK TRYING TO MAKE A GOLD CARD TO MAKE IT WORK...I DONT KNOW WHERE I WOULD GET ACCESS TO ANOTHER DASH WITHOUT BUYING ONE
I ALSO HAVE TROUBLE FINDING THE ORIGINAL ROM CAN ANYONE HELP
I believe that if you go to t-mobile support site you can download original RUU 1.22.531.8. 45MB to big to upload here for you.
the one i need is 1.33.422.1 from htc not tmobile and htc doesnt have it
also what is the difference between that version and this one
1.27.405.1 (Worldwide English, WM6)
My bad, Version I mentioned from T-Mobile original WinMo 5. Don't know where to get the 1 your hunting.
Check the sticky Oficial roms here

Well, you need to try all the roms or do you need someone specific (T - Mobile for example??)
i have the htc s621 i just wanted the original windows mobile 6 standard that came with it
Why ? Kavana 6.1 or 3VO 6.5 are so much better........
i kinda like the way the icons go across the bottom on the factory rom...also i wanted to flash it back to original settings...
stilll.....can anyone help me with that?
also whats the difference between the rogers s621 and the regular htc s621
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329605, then flash any rom you want.
I hope that helps.
can anyone here send me the files for the windows mobile 6 standard from the s621?
Black Dash, whats it really called, Excalibur 620 621???
im just a newbie but do you mean the BLACK Tmobile Dash.. if so the ROM that came with this phone from Tmobile is version, 1.22.531.8 which is on Tmobile's site, you just have to enter your IMEI number and follow the instructions on how to install.
just to to Tmobile site, and go to support, phone/device support go to the bottom where it says Tmobile Phones, look for the Dash, and go to the download section and look for the ROM there
sorry couldnt post direct site.
