Enabling G-Sensor 360 degree rotate - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Does anyone know how to enable TF3D 360 degree screen rotation?
By using G-Config I was able to enable selected application to rotate 180 degree. However, if I turn the phone upside down, they do not rotate to 180 degrees. 270 degree rotation may also be desirable.
I would like to know how to rotate the screen 0, 90, 180, 270. and 360 degrees. (In other words I might want to turn off certain rotation angles.)
If there is a way to control individual apps and etc.?

Found ChangeScreen
ChangeScreen is an application that provides 0,90.270, and 360 rotation.

Since all G-config does is add entries into the registry, maybe the 0,90.270,360 capability already resides in TF3D v3.
However, so far I've only been able to get TF3D to do the 0 and 90 degrees counter-clockwise rotations.

[Q] Automatically rotate screen, with manual overide on demand

Hi,
I have seen several apps, which will rotate the screen, i.e. Gyrator. So far that works nice.
But in some cases, i like to switch screen manually and override the automatic sensor.
Is there a way to do this?
If not, is there a tool, which lets me manually rotate the screen, same like in my old Trinity?
Best regards,
Michael

describes how to enable the screen rotation ui tab, and works on the blackstone too.

Stop screen rotate with keyboard out

For certain apps, I want to be able to use the hardware keyboard but keep the screen in portrait mode. Gyrator helps a bit, but does not do everything I want:
Example 1: Kevtris. Only works in portrait, but needs enough mappable hardware buttons to control the pieces, so keyboard needs to be out, but device is held in portait.
For this, Gyrator helps because it turns the screen back to portrait if the device is in portrait (even if the keyboard is still out)
Example 2: Morphgear. Works best in portrait mode with the game display set to be sideways (East). So keyboard is out, device is held in landscape but I want the screen to stay portrait.
Any thoughts?
I'm not sure if changescreen would work, but you can set what programs turn what way, and could add an exception to those specific programs to display only in portrait mode. It's called changeScreen - v2.5 (Mar 13 '09). HTH

lol. no. rosie rotation is to enable a landscape mode for rosie. the 270 rotation is believe is worked into the regular rotation toggle in android. to my understanding it is a 270 rotation or no rotation option only.
yes, you can just turn off rotation in the settings, but you cant go back to 180, idk why you would want to anyway.

Because some of us prefer 170 rotation, like when i'm laying on the bed and i want it portrait i just roll on my right side. I actually switched roms because of this.
Same. I HATE 270 rotation, main reason im avoiding fresh.
This really should be an option for the next

Main problem is MMS.. Sometimes i recieve images that have been taken rotated clockwise.. So when i rotate the phone clockwise to right-side-up the image, it just rotates the image to bottom.. So i have to turn the phone upside down to actually see what the image is... Techincally it is the same thing if the camera was rotated counter-clockwise, but i can deal with it in 1 direction.. it is annoying when i have to deal with it in 2 directions...
I agree, the 270 degree rotation is less than optimal for my use. The annoying part for me is when I'm carring the phone in my hand in portrait mode, perpendicular to the ground, and as I set it down it auto rotates because I did not place it down perfectly straight, and thinks I'm trying to rotate.
Would love the option to set it standard.
is there any way to get this option in another rom, I want the 270 rotation. And would there be any way for a 360 degree rotation, which seems like it would be ridiculous, but sometimes is quite useful.

[Q] 5 seconds to switch to Landscape ? **Resolved**

I've tweaked the Rhodium to auto rotate on just about everything, so it goes to landscape when I rotate the phone without having to slide out the keyboard.
problem is, it takes 5 elephants to rotate, and only 2 elephants to rotate back to portrait, I've set the G-Sensor polling rate to 50 but it made no difference at all to this. I would guess there is a control somewhere for this, either in the registry or hard coded in a file, anybody upto the task of finding out where the setting is ?
Slightly off topic, I've noticed that pictures don't rotate with the device anymore like they did in the Touch pro, this is a bit of an annoyance too because scrolling through pic's in landscape shows the images on their sides, not sure if this is a bug or by design ?

What auto-rotator are you using?
I use changescreen, and my auto-rotation is fast.
I do these reg-edits with changescreen:
Code:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\GSensor\PollingInterval = 50 (Dword)
HKCU\Software\idevelopstuff\changescreen\Delay = 50 (Dword)
Depending on your auto-rotator, it might have a separate polling interval from the device's. As you can see, I have to set the GSensor's polling interval and changescreen's polling interval to the same amount for it to work quickly.
I didn't have a third party application for it, just the stock driver / app, Sounds like that will be the solution though, I did use Advance config to change the poll to 50, but looking in the registry it was set at 1000.
I've installed Changescreen and set both reg values to 50, it's rotating in roughly one elephant to landscape and back to portrait, much better
thanks for the tip.
ChangeScreen Keeps Rotating back to Portrait
Hey guys:
I have ChangeScreen installed on my HTC Tilt2. Ive set the default on load to landscape as well as set up exceptions to manilla and most of my programs to landscape (as an assurance that the screen will load each app/prog chosen to landscape).
I have set the registry keys listed in this string to 50 and saved the settings.
My problem is this: I have to hold my phone upright , then lay it flat, then pick it up again in order for the rotation to take effect.
Next prob is: after the screen does go into landscape, then i go to , say messaging, all is good until i exit messaging and navigate back to the today screen. It loads back "portrait". I have to do the same steip over : pick phone up; lay it flat; then pick up again for it to go back to landscape, otherwise, it just sits and sits and sits in portrait.
Is there any other tool better than changescreen that truely 'defaults' the screen rotation to landscape where i dont have to manually keep moving the phone all the time just to get to landscape?

Have you tried not having Manila in the exceptions list? Just let it auto-rotate based on your settings in the first tab in the changescreen app.
Or could you post screenshots of your settings so I can look at them and see if there's something conflicting, etc.?

[Q] Screen Orientation (Landscape/Reverse Landscape)

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a way to reverse the direction of landscape mode? Instead of a 90 degree rotation, I'd prefer a 270 degree rotation (Reversed Landscape) as the default action. I tried Orientation Control, but it just forces everything to 270 degrees instead of only when an app requests landscape.
I'm sure there's probably a way buried in framework-res.apk, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Does this do what you want? The "forced auto" seems to be it. Here is an article briefly describing the app.
Thank you forum poster 'romracer', this has fulfilled my requirements.
