I was called to a freinds house to fix his P.C., "NTLDR is compressed" he had no other machine online to look up the problem , I used my XDA to surf up the Net VIA the neighbors WIFI connection solved his problem by searching Google, then streamed a Radio Station from www.radiofeeds.co.uk/pda using Windows Media Player 10, I managed to stream a 32kbps 22khz Mono MP3 Stream, has anyone beat this bitrate??
POCKET MUSIC : Whats the highest bitrate you've managed to stream with this software? I havn't been able yet.
Hi people,Just been upgraded to XDA Orbit, I like it. It has what I am calling nipple control.
Can any of you people tell me how to stream mp3s and xvids from my pc to my orbit. I have an old copy pocket lan 3.0, will this do it? I thought there might be a link here to a cab from an extended rom or something someone here has authored. Please can you help?
Use Orb, stream media over wifi gprs

The previously mentioned Ateksoft program is the best implementation I've seen to date. Basically turns your phone into an IP Webcam. Cost is about $20, and in my opinion it's well worth the money if you have need for such a thing.
A couple more you might try (and they're free) are Whoosh Cam and Comvu PocketCaster. The latter isn't quite a realtime webcam, but it does have some other interesting features, such as capturing and storing video to an upload server for later viewing.
These are all nice ... if you want to connect to be "tethered."
However, does anyone know of a "stand-alone" application where I can use my HTC Hermes as a webcam and broadcast to Skype, MSN Messenger, etc. that is running on that same device?
Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by "tethered"? None of these require your Hermes to be attached to a PC via cable (USB connection). They can all work through Wifi or GPRS. And Ateksoft Webcamera Plus DOES work with Skype, MSN Messenger, etc. Did you bother to read the program capabilities linked in my previous post?

As far as I know that is a function of the client and neither Pocket Skype or MSN has that built in. Maybe one day...

Right. I see what he means by "tethered" now. The mobile versions of MSN Messenger, Skype, etc don't have video capability from the device. That's a limitation of those app's, not the webcam software mentioned.
I imagine when that capability comes to the mobile versions, you probably wouldn't need to use a second webcam app for the device to get the video stream.
I'm going to thailand tomorrow, little late notice I realise anyway.
My question is that I have coreplayer and a Divx player on my mobile. I have a few films on there but some of them dont have sound as they need audio codecs. They play fine on the laptop. Does anybody know where I can get the codecs?
Also is it possible to run skype off a blackstone? I was thinking if I'm in hostels with wifi it could save me a packet if I could use skype on the phone.
Thanks
