Does anybody know a way to prevent the phone from going into standby mode after every call? I am sure it is just a matter of editing a registry entry, but I do not know which. I have tried editing the UnattendedModeTimer, but it did not work after a soft reset. This file can be found in the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting
Any help would be appreciated. I am unable to wake-up my device by pressing the power button due to a severe physical disability.
If this is not possible, is there anyone that could create an app that would ask if you want the phone to go to standby?

Hi all,
Not sure what I need to change but at the moment, when watching videos, the backlight goes off after the specified amount of time in the settings menu. I am using S2u2 which then locks the phone.
I am sure this was not happening previously. Anyone know why the phone does not think it is being used whilst watching videos or how to fix it?
Thanks,
NiugeS
I had the same problem with IGO. What I did, I assigned the iLock application on the send button (hold the button) and that activate and disable S2U2.
So I hold the send button to disable S2U2 when I'm using IGO for a long period of time. When I don't need the GPS anymore, I hold again the send button and that reactivates S2U2... easy solution !
Any way to disable auto device lock after ending a call on the Verizon TP2? I tried a cab but it didn't work. After I hang up or end a call, the phone automatically locks itself requiring me to press Unlock then type in the password (none in my case, just tap Unlock again).
Also, is there any hack/tweak to add a "screen off" button for Windows Media Player? It lets you set one but anything other than a keyboard key isn't recognized. Closing the device after turning the screen off just turns the screen back on, and using the standby power button on top stops the music from playing.
Finally, is there a way to make it so the power button (standby power on top) has to be held for a couple of seconds before it turns the screen on, or off?
This is for the Verizon Touch Pro 2. Thanks for any help in advance!
Bump! Anyone?
I have the same problem with locking after a call. Anyone have any idea?
i believe the cab ur looking for to disable the auto lock is called "disable_devide_autolock" or something of that nature ***note, you must soft reset after install for the changes totake effect***
Has it always done this? I have a VZ TP2, and it doesn't lock after a call. It only locks when the phone reaches the pre-set time limit. Maybe setting got bumped somehow?
Hey guys,
Quick prob; tried searching to no avail. My backlight does not turn off anymore unless I press the power key up top after installing the cmwifirouter. I know that when running this program, the backlight does not turn off so that the program can keep running, but I think it messed with something in the registry/settings as it is set to not turn off now unless I press the button even when the app is not up. Has anyone had similar issues such as this?
Also, I tried to search on google if it was possible to run this app while the backlight is off but could not find one either. Can someone kindly point me to the right direction?
Any help is appreciated for these two concerns. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
K
Anyone have a suggestions or tweaks?
Backlight doesnt want to go off when I leave it idle which wastes my battery when someone calls me and I miss it, the light doesnt go off. It also doesnt want to follow the settings I put in the battery settings of turning off in 10 seconds on battery power.
Hi,
Ending a call is really, really painful (especially if you push ie home button right after starting a call).
Some roms [shadowfrost, defrost] contains a module hack that makes the power button ending calls.
Does someone knows how to make a patch and/or a better way to get that?
PS: does someone knows what's the n°107 key which is defined in bravo-keypad.kl keymapping file?
If you're in the call screen you can use the power button to hang up.
Any other solution?
i.e. ending call with trackpad or back button?
Thanks,
Peter
if you have root, then you should be able to map the hardware buttons to other actions, by changing the specific key map file, eg. change the trackpad button to end call.
My hardware button for end call / quick list sometimes gets stuck when pressing the screen close to it, any other hardware buttons and sometimes even at random it seem. I can't seem to fix it, so is it possible to disable it?
I looked into AE Button Plus, but that program does not solve anything, I keep having the problem making the phone impossible to handle at times: calls keep getting hung up and my phone constantly changes to the home screen.
My Call button keeps getting stuck making my phone almost impossible to use. My phone keeps calling the last number and the Voice commands keeps coming on. Hope someone can give some tips on how to unstick a button.
