yeh it works now.
the only missing in this rom is the Diamond Keyboard. I install the diamond keyboard CAB file but when i try to change the keypad to the diamond it wont let me. Always default to the windows one, which is useless. any ideas will help thanks or can you add this in your next version???
this is the fastest and most response rom i have tested, even the TOMTOM MAPS are quick and responsive.

This ROM is built based on Diamond 2.03.401.2 and an ported with CE OS 21042 Build 21042 Aku 1.6.0 16MB PP. It's also UC ready. To learn more about UC, please read here.
What I did:
Based on Diamond 2.03.401.2
Port to CE OS 21042 Build 21042 Aku 1.6.0
XIP has been fully ported. You do not need to include msxipkernel, msxipkernelltk and oemxipkernel folders when re-cooking this ROM. This will save more than 3MB of space
Removed ULDR
Changed back to Classic Manila. Too many complaints of Manila HD crashing on previous versions. Use CFC Compression on Classic Manila. Thanks to Chainfire for the excellent cfc-gui tool.
Added more stuffs from Topaz and Rhodium (Please see screenshot above). Comm. Manager works great. Try it.

Diamond 2 SensorSDK will slow down the phone for about few seconds before returning to normal operations
Notifications Manager still show old popup. If anyone has a working Notifications Manager with new popup for the Diamond then please share it. Thanks !
Languages support for the Keyboard is very limited at the moment. Changing to some languages not supported yet might cause your Diamond to hang.
Weather Tab on Classic Manila is a ported version from here. It works but has some minor issues.

Hi,
A larger page pool will allow more programs to run concurrently but the downside of having a larger page pool is that you will have lesser available RAM. You can try both and see the difference.
Hi, do you happen to have a pagepool patcher application for the diamond?. i'm looking to increase the Pagepool to 18MB or Dynamic. thanks.
in addition, would you please post the 8MB pagepool rom in mirror different than rapidhsare?. thanks much.

Must use Unsigned Hard SPL. Either from Jocky or Olinex would be fine.

Will post the file to another mirror in a short while. By the way, it is well known that editing the page pool larger than 12MB will have stability issues but you can try and see how it ill work out for you. I tend to stay on the safe side
Just installed it and it seems to be nice and quick.
Only thing I'm having trouble with is that I can't get Windows Live to start. Other than that, pretty spot on....Cheers

Thanks for the comments. Which version have you flashed ? I believe I made a mistake somewhere. Windows Live is supposed to have been removed. I will take a look at it though.

Hi Vic.. Congratulations and wonderful to see you sharing out your rom here with the community. Neat and clean rom I can see. Nice works! I see you managed to get the Build 20273 working (...Sorry I had been neglecting my PM lately )
Just want to let you know that the default pagepool for Diamond is in fact 12 MB when I last checked on the 1.37.xxx.xx shipped rom and was wondering why you said a larger 8 MB pagepool. What is your understanding of default pagepool? Cheers..

Hi Swift,
Thanks for the comments. I forgot to say that the 8MB page pool edit I put in is just experimental. Anyway, I might have made some mistakes somewhere by not translating the hex values correctly. I will update my first post to make it clear to everyone. Thanks again for the heads up ! Oh, and by the way, increasing the page pool up to 18MB as someone suggested will does have some impact on stability but I am not entirely sure yet.
For the benefits of those who can't download from RS, I have uploaded them to FF as well. First post updated.

thanks for posting the file in another share. I've installed the v2 with the 8MB in pagepool and the performance is quite better. the fasted ROM i've ever tested on the diamond. congratulations!.

My bad, sorry.
The Windows Live was installed from a cab file I use. Works in other releases...Not knocking your release in anyway at all.
Still have your ROM installed and been using it most of the day with no failures. Wifi, HSDPA, etc, etc.

I've been testing ROM for more than 24 hrs and the performance is great!. a couple of issues found. i'm not sure if its ROM related:
1. the voicemail notification doesn't go away even if my inbox is empty. no voice messages at all.
2. lost the the scrolling functionality of the enter button when running any browser. I've tried with IE and Opera browsers.
I would like to see if increasing hte pagepool to 12MB will provide more performance while keeping the same stability.

The unskilled interference to your phone's OS can totally crash your device.
If you understand what are you going to do - go ahead.
Bootloader ver should be updated to 070518180359 - if you did not do that prior flashing - you will definitely kill your device!!!
Radio ver should be at least 4.7 - but lower ver is not fatal - you can update you radio later
The original 07xxxx Bootloader and Language Unlock Utility - attached below.
How to update Bootloader - copy BootGalaxy.NB0 to the root of your Storage Card, connect adapter and push Record+Reset
How to unlock Language ID - copy ASUSUnlockLangID.exe to your device (does not matter - SD or main memory) and run it.
Updating Bootloader can completely brick your device if done incorrectly!!!
How to update the rom: even if you upgrade from WWE - please run LanguageUnlockID utility or use Force Mode (camera+power+reset).
Almost everything is deleted from ROM including input methods (except keyboard).
Almost all the apps (except maybe Microsoft Office Mobile) work nice from the Storage Card. So if you wanna add anything - go ahead. But don't ask me to provide missed apps or links to download them - use Google to find.
Another important thing - don't ask questions (in public or PM) like "Where to get Spanish (German, Dutch, Portuguese or other) roms?" and "Where to get rom for different device and is your rom good for any other brand or model?"
The answer in advance: for the first question - I DON"T KNOW, for the second one - NO!
If you don't have enough skills in updating OS or installing apps - do not use my ROM!!!

Concerning all WM6.5 builds:
Many applications like WisBar or other interface tweakers and knick-knackers DON'T work properly with the new SYS. Don't ask me to fix that - ask Microsoft to fix OS or ask software owners to fix compatibility of their software with upcoming WM6.5 and WM7.0
So - don't use Wisbar, SecondToday, TaskFacade and other apps that perform homescreen mandatory refresh on startup or resume.
Do not use different backups (like SPB or whatever) - it would not work.
Or - don't use the latest builds.

I have installed the 20748 version on my P525, but I found a bug:
there is no "Sent" nor "Deleted" folder on "Text Messages"; due to this, I can't reply the incoming messages.
All the other programs seem to work properly.

Thanx for your bug report. SMS folders absence - my fault. The file outres.dll.0409.mui was not good in the new SYS dump.
How to fix: just replace the file - unzip and copy the attachment to \Windows folder of your device. Reboot.
One more thing:
In Settings menu the Task Manager shortcut is absent.
How to put it back:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\TaskMgr
Create new String Redirect = taskmgr.exe

I do not have an idea - what are you trying to do with anper tools. Actually I've fixed some minor things with the tools in both roms - and never got any mistakes while building nbo from dump.

Sorry - I don't have such kinda bug. And several guys are using my rom (thread at asusmobile.ru) - they also do not have any problems with SMS. The outres file fixes only the absence of two folders (sent and deleted) - nothing else!
Right now I've sent SMS from my wife's phone to my 525 - works pretty fine. I did it several times with short and big texts - everything can be opened easily..... After some time I went to Folders and easily opened sent/received/deleted messages.

I wanna notice that I uploaded the ROM. It can be flashed to 525. And it can be flashed without mistakes. You are complaining about some bugs after making modifications with anper tools. What can I say? I don't know what did you do with the rom so I can not help you. Write down what did you change in the rom with the tools? Or go to asusmobile and talk to anper - I saw him online half an hour ago.
If you tried to include some third-party software straight to dump - I can not provide any assistance or promise any stability - it's on your own.....
One more thing - I use my 525 with my last 20748 for 10 days already - and use it as a business phone (means - I use it pretty hard). I do not have problems with it. But I wanna inform you that all the builds from 2070x to 2074X are AKU 1.4 BETA!!! Only the 20753 build will be AKU 1.4 Final! And the next after it - build 20900 will be Aku 1.5 but again BETA.....
Dear AndrewSh....I flashed your 20721 ROM...the threaded sms doesn't work thats fact, I saw on asusmobile.ru even a guy who has the same error.......
if I take just your NB0 without any modification and open it with anper tool then it shows the CHS errors inside the file......so either there is a bug in the anper tool or the CHS errors are really inside ......
If I put your 20748 NB0 and start flashing process...it always shows CHS error....other roms work but yours not....so it is quite funny

In 20721 threaded sms did not work on purpose. It was like "old simple style". Anyway I used it only for a couple of days....
Now about 20748: "it always shows CHS error" - you mean checksum error while flashing or what?
I never saw mistakes like CHS (Cylinder-head-sector) error while flashing...
If it's checksum error - I got that mistake several times with different builds but it's because the nbo has taken the wrong space on Storage Card. It was always fixed by formatting miniSD (FAT). After format - the rom upgrade went without mistakes.

You can't read SMS - you mean - in Viet-Namese? If so - fix the encoding for your country language.
The point that Vietnam is not present here in wce.nls as one of the system regional settings. You would use the file with full regional support.

in general i find the Microsoft builds faster and more stable. The HTC ones are rebuilds and ive found are a bit more fiddely

Use the one that utak3r post on the native thread... is bugfixed so it boots!
Folder missed and other lang in sys
I saw that the folders office_dpi_96 and MediaOS_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320 are missing. Use the one attached.
And there are office_0804 and office_0804_dpi_96 folders extra... btw the netcf folder is 2.0 not 3.5... suggestion dont add them and use 3.5 and for officedont add them and use other complete.
Mixing the provided NK from da_g edited by utaker... works flawless! 21MB on programs on fresh boot.

BTW your issue with underline and spaceback at typing remains in this core what do u use that cause this thing?
Either Josh's kitchen can't handle this stuff or im doing something wrong cause the only ports I can get to actually boot are ones he does..

Kitchen is pretty eay to setup. You just need the files from the thread, and one official ROM. Unpack the official ROM into a folder, run the kitchen, ignore all the errors generated on first run, click dump nbh/nb/payload, point it to your unpacked ROM folder, and the kitchen is all setup in the 'dump' folder for modifying

Its like the newest is suppose to go over a older version that includes more files I suppose.

I have decided to create this Topic to have a good overview of all ROMs that are available for our HTC Touch Diamond.
I have selected all the ROMs into language first. After that, I have selected all the ROMs into WM6.5.X and WM6.1 etc. etc.
I hope you all have a good overview of the ROMs for now.

Thanks. I saw their was a topic like this already. But really want to give it a new shot with a good overview of both 6.5 and 6.1 Diamond ROMs with different languages. I hope this will give everyone a very good overview, it makes thing more quickly i think (and i hope!)

You might want to consider a third category for "6.5" ROMs (23017 or 218XX COM2 branch), for those of us who prefer an updated stable release with the original screen layout.
I'm always surprised that there aren't more ROMs available using the updated COM2 branch.

Yup that is exactly what i want to do. Just something like a library I hope this will optimize the searching speed of searching the ROMs in which u are interested. I think this can be a perfect starting place to check out the ROMs etc
