I'm not sure if this should be in Trinity forum, but have just read online ...
the Hermes (Tytn) is nearly identical to the Trinity/M700 apart from the GPS, which is a function of the Radio ROM anyway, not the main ROM.
which lead me to think ...
would it be feasable to flash a Hermes rom onto a Trinity, then flash a radio on after ?
just a hyperthetical Q really as the telly is rubbish tonight.
Very very very bad tho.... you would never try to make it... yes are almost identical but we have qwerty hardware... think about drivers and kernel... so now is not so identical... ask to kane159 i made a kitchen for him at trinity the only thing i could share to him was the wincenls dsm...
thanks for that .....
as I said, just a wild thought, based on lack of knowledge !

We would be very happy if any1 here could make a WM6-rom for trinity or write a guide so I could bake it myself. Please.
What you need to start with is a base Trinity WM6 ROM (since it's HTC's job to write the HAL). AFAIK these don't exist for the Trinity yet.
So there is no possibility to use the rom from kyphurs release and convert it with all the avalible tools?
Since the base HAL of the ROM is hermes specific, it would be like trying to flash a hermes os.nb onto a Trinity.
Hmmm damn, people make miracles here in this forum allready would it be impossible to write a hal for them? Excuse me for not knowing what I talk about here but cant someone strip an wm5-rom and take whatever thats needed for the wm6-rom to boot?
if i were to use mtty to lnb OS.nb to a trinity
would it spoil the trinity?
@jeRrRKKKK: probably not if you use a valid hermes OS.nb, but it won't boot, so you should better don't try it.
maybe i should try to convince some trinity users to try it so if they bricked their device while trying, i wouldn't be at any loss... lol
anyways the process is reversible... why not some trinity users give it a go?
for all you know it might open the door for cross platform flashing... imagine if the o2 atom gets wm6 full release first, and we can just cross platform flash it over... don't you think it saves alot of time and agony?
Hi, i´m a trinity ROM cooker, yesterday i get my new Diamond , so i´m thinking in start cooking for my new toy.
I´m a littled worry because I don´t read nothing about someone who get his device bricked, and I don´t want to be the first... and neither there are a method or tuturial to resolve problems if something happends when flashing...
I need to use Unsigned Hard-SPL, so what are the real risk if I make a mistake working with the rom development?, is always possible to flash again the Oficial Stock SPL and Oficial Stock ROM?. Unsigned Hard-SPL protect about NAND corrupt, or other flashing problems like signed HARD-SPL?
I´m very experience in ROM development, but I´m not a master, and I have a little fear of getting a 600€ Paperweight...
Soon there will be NiAx Diamond ROM based on Spanish official ROM 1.37.412. Later maybe WWE... and other languages versions.
Thanks in advance. Nikitto & Axl79. NiAx Team.
nobody can tell about?...
read this as long as you dont screw up the AMSS or the OEMSBL in the Radio its "un-brickable"

actually you can screw the AMSS up just fine, but CE won't boot and you'll have to reflash it
Thanks for answers
Thanks for anwers, I don´t planning to develop anything related with Radio, I´m only developing cooked ROMs, so if I have understood well, i don´t have to worry about brick my Diamond, I ALWAYS can reflash with any other stock or cooked ROM again and have fun!!!
Great news, as soon I finish our Hermes NiAx ROM (ESN), we will start developing NiAx Diamond ESN, and later if goes fine WWE version.
Thanks Olipro and Cmonex for your hard work, people often don´t appreciate that without your greats Hard-SPL there couldn´t be cooked ROMs.

hi i am new to this scene although i have been hacking devices for several years so am not a complete N00b. I just want to know if i have got the right idea here:
I follow this guide: http://modmydiamond.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=26
With this hardspl (v1.24): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621
This Radio Rom (v1.00.25.05): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956
And this rom: http://www.duttythroy.net/download-area.html?task=view.download&cid=149
Is this right? Will this upgrade run smoothly with these options? Also i have not yet recieved my fone, will do in the next few days, it is an Upgrade from Orange UK. Will all this run smoothly on my fone? Or does it depend upon product versions etc of the software/hardware on my fone? Its just that i have been reading around all the info and have noticed that sometimes it does matter.
Thanks for any help,
James
once u hard-spl u can flash any radio and rom. not necessarily just those two.
make sure its hard-spl DEVELOPER edition.not SIGNED edition
Yep i know that but i think those are the recommended radio and hardspl for the dutty rom i have chosen.
Thanks.

If you just want to flash Dutty's ROM, those choices are OK and will work.
I tested/used a lot of Dutty's ROM's and I can say that they are solid and decent ROM's but not the fastest (fast enough though )
Read the WIKI
There's alot of Topics on radio rom's posted in the wiki
Peace

Maybe my experience helps:

Hi, i dont mean to sound stupid and annoy you but can a few of you tell me which are the best roms for performance/features? I have read the wikis and guides, however there are too many different roms, and the guides do not fully explain the benefits of each one.
Thanks, i was gonna go with dutty's as i thought it was the most popular?

I searched all forums but I cant find WM 5.0 for Hermes?
I have MDA Vario 2 now, and do not need anything spectacular than WM 5.0, only important thing is ENGLISH version
One more question-is flashing same as for WM 6.0?If it is, how about putting official ROM WWE 838Pro HK?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316726
Is this only procedure, as I see? Just to confirm, more than 50 flashed devices but Hermes for the first time ;-)
1. Download and do Hard SPL V7
http://www.mrvanx.org/thg/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=26
2. Download and flash ROM
http://www.mrvanx.org/thg/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=26
Tnx, Danke, Grazie, Hvala!
well there is no wm5 for hermes.. in my knowledge cause hermes was shipped with wm6 by default...
Yes all te procedures are correct..
BTW BEFORE!!!! you flash a new rom please please please flash the stripped Att original radio rom wm6 ok? ciao
PD you can found the stripped rom on every thread about rom development...
Good luck!.
Thanks man, now I see it is WM 6
I did not understand this- do you suggests me to put AT&T ROM or to find only radio ROM and flash??
Is it possible to have problems with Hermes after upgrading only thi WWE ROM?
Same procedure for flashing or??? Cos' i found hundred of threds on this theme...
nonono
if you flash that WM6 ithink is fine cause it seems to be original...
but if you want to flash a custom.. i mean a cooked rom
you must to flash before the att stripped.
yes is the same procedure.
OK
I need only stable ROM, just to work fine on this PDA, not cooked...yet ;-)
Tnx man!
no problem man!
good luck
this thread can be erased cause even it must be on upgrading forum... was solved
Any mod please.
OK, if its possible to move or erase in total, no needed any more. My mistake during posting, i was reading WM 6 and put it occasionaly

Actually, most Hermes CAME with WM05... It was just that after WM06 came out the carriers upgraded them to that. If you look hard enough you MIGHT find WM05 but it wasn't as stable as WM06 so wasn't maintained. I know I got rid of my old WM05 roms... If you want an old WM05, look for Jasjammin's Black Magic... Was a brilliant rom in its time...
Cheers....
Nice to know that man Thanks!
Actually, I still have a copy of at&t's wm5!

i didnt start upgrading yet, because something doesnt match in my official ROM package

Hi
is for the Rhodium also a tutorial like:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=680518
I didt it yesterday for my kaiser and it works greate now i like to test it laso on the Rhodium.
But i didt not know whitch kernel to choose. How to configurate it.
In the Kaiser tutorial is a tool named "atools" for konfiguration the kernel.
But what i have to do for the Rhodium with german keyboard?
And what do you think: is the
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=759894
a goid choice for this rhodium?
Frendyly regards
Heiko
You can't do this on the Rhodium, there is no full ROM version of Android working yet for this phone.
The ROM you linked is for the Kaiser. ROMs are for specific phones. Flashing the ROM for the wrong phone is a very bad idea. If you flash that ROM to the Rhodium, it won't work and you will probably brick the phone.
Your best bet is Project Android. This is not a full ROM, but rather installs the the SD card. You boot it up, and it dumps Windows Mobile, and loads Android.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627997
NAND is still in the very early stages of testing for RHOD. Hopefully we'll get a full NAND like Kaiser has, but not at this time.
Thanks for the informations.
I thought rodium and kaiser are very simular in their hardware.
The problem is win Mobile only runs slow on both phones.
And Froyo runs enxpected fast on the kaiser.
But without a stable rom i thin i dont try it.
XDANDROID is stable, just not perfect
