I use G-Watch countdown timer (which works fine) the problem I have is that I have the default HTC keyboard lock enabled for 1 minute of inactivity. How do I set exceptions for this lock so that when G-watch is running the keyboard lock is not triggered ?
It must be possible because my when using my TomTom the keyboard lock does not trigger.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Previuosly on my Tytn II, the screen is always returning to home screen after the wakeup. I know it's a bug in the pin, but it suits me.
I'm now using i780 and installed the realVGA and HTC home (6 tabs version). It works well apart from the brightness setting.
I need help if somehow I can set the phone to go to home screen each time I wake it up.

Just wanted to ask -
Don't you experience random profile and tab changes with the 6-tab HTC home?
What version of HTC home do you use?
I had to disable the profiles tab so as to not get involuntary profile changes - having my phone start ringing when it should be silent or missing calls since it went into silent profile just like that...
Just wondering, which latest version works on our i780? I've tried 2.1.xxxxx but it doesen't show up at the home screen (using the custom ROM with RealVGA integrated posted last week)
Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way to allow widgets in conjunction with a pattern lock screen. My widget locker setup works fine but part of it has a camera hot-spot using uccw. The problem is that every time I click on it, I must input my pattern to access the camera. This is the same with every other widget on my lock screen. I am confused because with the sense lock, you are able to access the camera without entering the pattern. It is only until you try to exit out of the camera that it'll ask you for the pin- this feature is something htc calls "tourist mode" I believe.
Is this possible with WidgetLocker? Why must the pin be entered in order to access any of the widgets. Is there a way to only require the pattern for the phone unlocking process instead?
Thanks
I have been trying to get Widget Locker working on my One but have hit an issue. I am thinking I may not be able to fix this without Root but I wanted to run it by the community to verify.
I have my phone linked to an Exchange server that forces a 4 digit pass-code onto the device. So from the default lock screen I swipe up and then get the keypad to unlock the device.
Widget Locker replaces the main screen and 60% of the time when I unlock the device it takes me to the keypad directly.
The other 40% of the time is the issue. When I unlock from Widget Locker it takes me to the default screen where I would swipe up. From this point I can ether swipe up and unlock or shut off the screen. When I try again it usually works perfectly.
Is there any way to get consistent behavior from Widget Locker without root? What I would expect would be to unlock and be taken to the keypad 100% of the time.
I would love to use widget locker, but I always get a 3-7 second delay with turning on my phone. Sorry I can't help you.

Go into Settings and set the HTC lockscreen to none. It forces the phone to only use WL, and you never see the stock lockscreen. Works for me,

That kills the security on the phone. We need to have ether a pin or password unlock to secure the device. Even without it I would want a pattern unlock at the least to keep it somewhat safe.
I expanded my search a bit and this seems to be a common problem on phones that have any sort of lockscreen security. What I cant understand is why it does work some times, but not others. It does not appear to be a timing issue but I cannot narrow down what else would randomly (apparently random) trigger the stock lock screen yet work other times.

No, it doesn't. The HTC lockscreen and the Security lockscreen are two different things. You can have the HTC lockscreen set to none, and still have the option to unlock with any of the various lock methods(i.e. PIN, Pattern, Face Unlock, etc...) I know this is true because I use it everyday. I use WL, have my HTC lockscreen set to none, and still have to enter a PIN to unlock my phone. And have no delay when using WL once the phone is booted.

And I am an idiot. You are completely correct. I am trying it now, thank you.
Edit: Working like a charm. If anybody else is having this issue the setting is under Personalize, lock screen style.
Thanks again!
I'm using Tasker + Secure Settings to set a Pin Lock when i'm not connected to my home wifi.
The thing that I don't get is, that when I set the Pin manually the lockscreen switches between landscape and portrait mode. When Tasker/SecureSettings set the Pin it is somehow locked to Portrait mode, which is kind of a pain in the a** when you sit in the lecture holding it in portrait and always have to turn your tablet to unlock it.
Anyone knows an answer to this?
thx
Excuse me, solved it by myself
Rooted/installed Wanam xposed yesterday where lockscreen orientation is locked to portrait by default :silly:
Hi there! Here it is my problem:
* I turn on Lock Screen (I use PIN Lock).
* "Power button locks immediately" setting is turned OFF
* I turn on Smart Lock so that my Bluetooth device (Moto 360-2) connection should prevent the Lock Screen from appearing.
First scenario (Smart Lock works fine):
* I leave my G4 turn off the screen after the selected timeout (2 min)
* When I double tap the screen, and my Bluetooth device is connected, I can swipe the screen to have access and no PIN is required
Second scenario (Smart Lock doesn't work):
* I turn off the screen with the power button
* When I double tap the screen, and my Bluetooth device is connected, I have to enter my PIN to have access to the phone, no good...
Same problem if I double tap the screen to turn it off, it seems that the only way to have Smart Lock work is to leave the screen turn off after the timeout, can anyone confirm my problem or suggest a solution?
Thanks in advance and Ciao!
I also have issues with Smart Lock, sometimes don't "recognize" my area as a triger (I got it setted with a trusted area) and makes me enter my pin enerytime since... It just solves with reboot.
I try if power button has something to do, but it doesn't. So I think that it could be a Smart Lock bug... or a bug of the implementation of Smart Lock on LG ui.
Regards.
I always had issues with Smart Lock. Sometimes it worked great, others not at all. It's definitely a nice feature, when it works. Can't offer a solution, but an option would be to try Delayed Lock https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.delayedlock2.trial from the Playstore. That works everytime for me. Only problem is it requires extra plug-ins to be installed for location unlocking. Just an option. Cheers!
Solved, I deleted my Moto 360 as trusted device and then re-registered it, now Smart Lock works fine also in my "second scenario"
