[SOLVED] Blackberry support

Hello,
Since the upgrade to WM6, blackberry wont work because of the change of the version numbers. Is someone willing to hack those back to 5.1.195 aku 2.3.0 as it got done here for example? That would be awesome since i like wm6 but bbconnect too

I did it! The new Blackberry Connector v4 works fine with my Artemis with the german o2 wm6 rom. All you need to do is change the aku-version from 0.2.3 to 0.2.0 using phm regedit. The valuedata is located in: HKLM\System\Version\Aku . That's it. After installing it will let you connect to the blackberry network and just works fine .

I tried this with the BlueWM6 Release from this forum and I changed the registry value as advised by you.
Unfortunately my Vodafone UK Card still does not connect to the Blackberry Service.
In the Blackberry client on the phone I get pending

Don't you even get a PIN? Maybe it's because you have an ARTE200 Device. Normally you should not need that desktop tool anymore since bbconnect 4 can do the enterprise activation over the blackberry tunnel. Try playing with the AKU-Version...

the PIN is generated using the IMEI of the Phone on sucessfull connection to the blackberry servers...
you must hard reset your device... change the AKU to .2.3.0 then install Blackberry Connect 4.0

When I am in the Activation Menu and enter my Email Address and then the Password that has been supplied by my Blackberry Admin.
I then click on Activate and comes up with the following message:

I confirm this via OK and then click on Utility and in there on Register now.
I can see on the Top that the G icon changes into the arrows but then after a few seconds goes back to the G icon.
The About Screen shows:
BlackBerry Version: 4.0.0.67
Transport Version: 4.0.0.70

Device Type HTC: Artemis

If I go in the Status Menu and suspend it and then restart it and switch to the Identity I can see the IP address coming up.
The PIN stays always on Pending.

AKU is set at present to .2.0.0

Which rom do you currently have? (version, build, ...) My solution was only for the german wm6-rom from o2.

I tried to flash the O2 Germany Rom using the Artemis Update SPL (USPL) v.01 but it came back with unsuported device...
I am German so it would not be an Issue using the German Rom ;-)
What provider do you use ? Vodafone or O2

I have the same problem...O2 Branded XDA Orbit with Vodafone SIM. The BB was working fine on my XDA IIs.
Upgraded from Default ROM to WM6 Bepe version - everything seems fine.

I have tried various AKU settings - .2.3.0, .0.2.0, .3.0.0 - Have tried varioues BB Connect versions 2.1, 2.3 etc.
Now am waiting for the upgrade from O2 and test again. Unless someone can verify that the German ROM shows menu etc in English - else will have to learn German to operate my phone ;-)
For all who have it working - great - envy you guys....!

bbconnect is still a quite mysterious thing. Maybe it has something to do with the device-name or language code... I really dunno but I will think about it...

Where is the tutorial for the P3300/Artimis? Your link is broken and a search shows nothing of note.

in tutorial you never give login and password, so if we want unlock spvm650 we must have the login and password for your software.

It's not free.. you can see that this software uses credits from allGSMUnlock (1 credit = 1 euro) and this childish utopia-minded user could read better.

It is NOT my software so I can't provide any login details. I only provided the link which has now been disabled by GSMHosting Forum, for very obvious reasons.
If you go over to that Forum, just search on post number 2624979.
The only thing required to unlock the phone, from that posting is, your username and password as provided to you, by the service provider (e.g. O2, Vodafone), when you signed the contract. All the necessary tools required to unlock it are also provided.
I can't see where anybody is asking for money to unlock the phone from THAT PARTICULAR THREAD that I posted - post number 2624979 at GSMHosting.
Looks like two postings are being confused here - one asking for money to unlock, whereas the other is a do-it-yourself unlocking - the one I meant and for which I provided the link in my previous postings.
Two completely separate postings:

Update doesn't work at all / stops at 1%
Short answer: Your device is needs HardSPL. See links at bottom to get it, read on to understand the difference between Standard/Developer Edition!
Long answer:If your Diamond refuses to be updated completely, you're probably missing HardSPL. The SPL is the device's bootloader. It controls what can be flashed and what not. In order to flash anything not signed by HTC or your cell operator, you will need a "custom" version, called HardSPL.
There is two versions of HardSPL, the links are at the bottom, but please continue reading the next section before downloading.
Update stops at 0%
Short answer: You're running the normal HardSPL and you're trying to flash an unsigned (not signed by olinex) ROM. You need the developer version which fixes the 0% issue. Link is at the bottom of this post. Read on to understand the difference between Standard/Developer Edition!
Long answer: First you need to understand that there are two definitions of "signed". HTC and the mobile operators sign ROMs so that the RUU flash utility allows them to be flashed. Usually this is what the word "signed" in the filename means.
Then there is another definition of signed: The developers of HardSPL introduced their own signing process. They want to ensure that people flashing cooked ROMs can rely on a certain quality standard. The normal version of HardSPL will only allow ROMs signed by OliNex to be flashed. If the ROM you are about to flash is signed, it will say so in the thread you got it from. If it isn't signed, you will need the developer version of HardSPL. That one will allow any ROM to be flashed. Get it at the bottom of this posting.
A note on this: The signing process by olinex makes sure that the ROM you're about to flash won't brick your device. It doesn't mean all other ROMs are necessarily evil.
Update stops at 5%/Invalid Model ID is displayed
Short answer: The model ID hardcoded in the ROM image doesn't match the ID of your device. Read on for a fix.
Long answer: Don't Panic. Your Device isn't broken
Each Diamond Model has it's own ID. My German MDA Compact IV is a DIAM200. Other models are DIAM150/DIAM300/DIAM100....
Now ROMs might be configured to be flashable to a specific Model ID only, even though technically they would work fine on any Model ID.
In that case the ROM needs to be "reconfigured" - this process works for full ROMs as well as Radios.
If you are running a foreign Version of Windows or have Regional Settings other than English US configured, please set them to English U.S. temporarily. Otherwise NBHUtil will not function correctly.
First you'll need OliPro's NBH Util (0.92 works for the Diamond).
Fire it up, switch to "Extract NBH"
Select the nbh of the ROM/Radio to be flashed and hit Go
Extract the components you need. Radio/Splash/OS. If there's an SPL in there, you can safely discard/ignore it. You have HardSPL for that.
Make note of the Target CID, Version, Language and Chunk Size. FYI the Model ID is the problematic setting here. If it says DIAM10000 and you have a DIAM300 you're screwed.
Switch to the Build NBH tab and select the Diamond as target
Note how the Model ID is preset to DIAM*****. The wildcard allows any device
Change target CID, Version, Lang & Chunk size to the values you wrote down.
Select each saved component under the NBH items
Hit Build NBH and save the file as RUU_signed.nbh to a folder of your choice and flash it with the DiamondCustomRUU.exe or ROMUpdateUtility.exe

That looks like a problem with your system. Do you have the latest .NET Framework installed? Do you have another computer or a clean installation you can try on?

Yes, ı try it several computer but there is no success? could you please do modified nbh file for my diamond200? This will be good solution

Why don't you build a DIAM***** nbh file and put on this forum!
For many got it can be a general thing for all users!

because you need a different .nbh for each ROM in the forum and i don't think he wants to do that...

You need HardSPL, yes. I updated the original posting. Please follow the Guide For the 1.93 HK WWE ROM you need the developer edition.

HARDSPL works thanks, but only thing now is that i miss my TF3D bottom effect, the moving tiles don't move anymore.
this is because of the HK rom.

For security, save your /efs folder
Step 1 save your /efs folder
Step 2 Unlock your phone in 60 seconds, black screen is normal(get the good step2 for phones sold on 2.1 or 2.2)
Step 3 Built .nv_data.bak (after restart)
And last choice restore /efs folder saved on step 1 if you have any problem.
This is not a final version, test at your risk

Unlock method is changed by only "change lock-bytes" because minority phones have random signal problem and several users delete the backup of efs folder and send me a message for help after

just write an apk that will change the lockbit in nv_data.bin and rebuild

Lockbit is à good idea but with normal unlock nv_data have more changes.
With internet connection, i download my generic unlocked nv_data and i built a real unlocked nv_data.

And my unlocked nv_data are in zip, just 15kb...

I can send you the proper nv_data.bin template file File attached .. now you can include it in your apk and like this, your program will have to extract the imei from original nv_data.bin and after, insert it into the template and then replace it in efs (also deleting the md5 in the process).
One click job and still no internet connection
FULLY Tested on 2.2 and 2.2.1 (stock/factory 2.2 / 2.2.1 and also 2.2 / 2.2.1 upgraded from 2.1)
PS: Add an input box so one can chose a new NCK and Freeze code for later re-locking by code for warranty *7465625*638*# and like this, they won't need any app to re-lock it since they have the code the phone accepts

It's work on 2.2.1 i have good returns.
But the must important is original version of Android 2.1 or 2.2 for step 2.

I unlock I9000 since september and my method is à reference of all other.
My choice for download is just a choice.
And my 2 unlocked nv_data was made with a normal unlock method. After i change just a imei and product code.
And for relock for garanty, just reinsert efs save of step1 and it's good.

The attached file is HEXed and extracted from a proper-unlocked 2.1 to 2.2 using codes provided, based on IMEI.
If your solution uses the same file structure, than is it good to go.
Just add it to your apk (yes, it will be 2 MB bigger) but won't need an internet connection at all and also, add an input box for the user so one can chose its own NCK and/or Unfreeze (and like this, will be able to re-lock it without a backup of the original /efs)

No need 2mb, if i zip files, just need 30kb (I use 2 differents nv_data unlocked).
I work for automatic selection of good nv_data version for unlock (new nv_data is not compatible with old) this is a reason for sold on 2.1 or 2.2, but now i have lots of problems for read a version extracted in a .txt file and made a comparator. (this is my future update).
For simlock and unfreeze keys, this is à bad idea, i made this on .jar file on windows and i sent a confusion. I have message of user: why is the code?
Efs save is simply and have original files.
For download or make files in apk, i like download, i have an admob and admob don't work offline. One day....perhaps
I'm not very good for made apk but it's work.

If you haven't received the 4.3 Jellybean update yet then you can switch a region code in your phone to get it via PC Companion or Sony Update Service. You do not need to unlock the bootloader for this, so this is a very safe method.
I bought my phone in Germany. The 4.3 update is not available yet for Germany models as you can see in the image underneath here. I checked for a country with the 4.3 update available, changed the SI and now I have the update (no more need to wait or click check new update on PC Companion 50,000 times which nearly drove me mad).
Pick the code of one of the countries that has the 4.3 update and use it to get 4.3.
These are called SI codes. If you want to do this, you do it via a file called the build.prop which is found in device/system/build.prop. You need root before you can edit this file. This file tells the update program like PCC or SUS which region your software is. If you change the codes in this, you tell PCC or SUS to install/repair/update to a different region - of your choosing. You should always create a backup copy of your build.prop as it is an essential file related to how your phone works. This is a fairly safe thing to do, this has been done for years in the Xperia sections of phones from 2010-2013, we've done it ever year when new Sony updates were available.
Note: Changing or modifying a phone in any way has the possibility of damage. Adding other modifications to your phone increases the chance of issues relating to freezing, booting, rebooting, bricking. If you choose to modify your phone, know the risks and understand the proceedure! You are responsible for your own phone, as is normal with these mods.
How to Edit the Software Region Codes
Safety level: Easy
To change your region codes, you need to open the build.prop file and edit three files:
ro.product.name
ro.semc.version.cust
ro.semc.version.cust_revision
So I bought my Xperia M in Germany, so it has German/European software and is unbranded. My codes from above read like this:
ro.product.name=C1905_1274-5576
ro.semc.version.cust=1274-5576
ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R1A
If you wish to switch to the German unbranded then you simply change your codes to these above. You click save, then you restart your phone. When you connect your phone to SUS or PCC it will recognise it as German unbranded and update/repair using that new software.
I have started requesting users to post their codes (called SI codes or customization codes) to create a list which users can use to choose their new software.

How to Quickly View the Codes Without Editing
If you want a quick way to find the codes in your phone, you can find them via a service menu:
1. Open the dialler app, type *#*#7378423#*#* (It is SERVICE in text speak)
2. You will see a Sony service menu on your phone.
3. Go to service info, software info, you will see 'Customization version'.
4. Please do mention model info e.g. C1904/C1905 that may be important later.

Just got the update here in Ireland (on 3 mobile) however have yet to root this phone so canmnot get the code for it as of yet.

I've just read on Sony website about how they have released the open source files for the xperia m it's the first build version but it could be a start for development here is the link to it http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...ves/open-source-archive-for-build-15-1-a-1-9/ also the bootloader can be unlocked using Sony's unlocking software but it's not in their list of safe unlocking at the moment but may make it way onto it if it doesn't cause any problems I might try and find out if possible from them

I have to admit I'm not a fan of benchmarks. But you may like this page, check the review link on the left hand side. They tested the phone out of the box on a number of benchmarks. The phone really holds up well against competitors. It might be 'only' dual core 1ghz but it ain't no slouch.
