This is REALLY beginning to annoy me. I'm from the UK and have a touch pro 2 with t-mobile (though I believe its unbranded), and many times when i attempt to send a text i get a message saying "your text message could not be sent" and then below it says "synchronization error". It mostly occurs with the touch flo message interface and I presume somethings happened thats led to it sometimes mixing up my SMS and email (hotmail), as sometimes when the text isn't sent it redirects me to my mail inbox.
Ive tried a soft reset but the error persists. How do I fix this (aside from a hard reset?)?
many thanks!
welll, anyone?

I have a new Prophet and I keep getting this "Message from network" everytime I do a soft reset and sometimes it will just start sending these to my phone one after another...very annoying. I've tried everything within the phone and notification settings. I even tried the known hack to stop the "message sent" message when sending an SMS. I think this is the right track to stop the "message from network", but I don't know the proper key and syntax to stop it.
Does anyone know how to stop this message?
Thanks
i'm on the same boat.
ATOM Exec rom 0721
danks guys.
I had the similar problem with my Charmer, but it is gone after I upgraded the official ROM.
Note: This message from network is dangerous. I missed a few 'reminders' because the reminders are queued behind this 'message from network' that it won't give any beep until you dismiss this 'message from entwork'
yep, me too on a charmer AKU1 rom, but on AKU2 it stops. Whats your windows build? the last 3 numbers will be your aku.
In my notifications,
Downloading message : PXT from xxxx (+phone number here)
0%
Then just dissapeares but I don't have a new sms in my mailbox.
So I messaged the person again(was expecting a SMS anyway) and a while later, got the same thing in my notifications but this time a SMS in my box saying "PXT" with an attachment, though when I click it, all I get is text (which has the message body in it).
I'm assuming its a picture message, but how did the text get converted into a picture, and did I fail to download the first message?
I doubt it's the other side's fault but we were having a conversation and halfway through this happened.
Somewhat confused here as to what's happening
I have a Tilt 2 and am running the stock ROM with TouchFlo 3D. The unread text message indicator is stuck indicating at least one unread message at all times, even if there is not. If "n" is the number of actual unread text messages, then the phone always displays "n+2" as the number of unread messages.
I deleted all my text messages, hoping this would fix it, but even with no messages in my inbox, the phone continued to indicate 1 unread message.
Not a critical issue, but a little annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

There's a cab to fix that floating all around these forums, just search for "unread message count fix"
Found and fixed. Thank you SirPhunkey.

I have the same issue, although I'm up to 4 unread messages. I've had to use that fix way too many times to fix this issues. I'm using T-mo stock 6.5 and I thought that the update was supposed to FIX this issue! I've noticed this problem occur when my messaging box has a lot of messages in it. I was trying to delete old messages once (which took over 30 minutes to complete - way too long) and thats when two of the unread messages appeared.
Hello
So I have experienced my first "bug" with my GN (or maybe it's ICS?)
I was browsing in chrome when I noticed at the bottom it said "message received" in an overlay. As you do when you get a message while using the phone.
What didn't happen was it didn't scroll through the message at the top of the screen in the status bar. I thought it was a bit weird. So I opened my messages and nothing new was there. It didnt make any sound either, so I thought I was crazy and moved on.
As I was having a conversation with my partner at the time, she messaged me a few mins later wondering what my response was and I told her I didn't receive anything at all.
This is quite concerning. The phone most definitely recognised I got a message but it didn't show up. She said she sent 2 messages. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
We're both on the same network if its even possible this could be a carrier issue.
The "message received by <phone number>" toast message at the bottom of the screen is the other party receiving one of your messages. You turn this on in Messaging > Settings > Delivery reports. This will show next to the time stamp of every sent message in a thread the SMS icon with a green check mark over it whenever the message is confirmed to be received by the other party
You not receiving messages is a different issue. Try installing something like "Ghostly SMS" to see if your phone is losing SMS messages. I haven't heard of this as an issue in ICS yet.
Sometimes when I am sending a text message, I'll compose the message and hit Send. Hours later, I will come back and the phone is still trying to send the message. I'm not talking about a failed sending of the message, the phone is still trying to send the message. The circle just spins and spins.
If I delete and re-send the message, or send another message, it usually fixes the problem. Restarting the phone flushes all of these hanging messages out and successfully send them.
My wife has the same phone (different color), with the same software, stock and root, and hers does this as well. We have both tried several text message apps, and they all do this.
Any idea as to what could be causing this or how I might fix this?
Thanks much!
