hi there, i read HERE that you can edit with regedit the camera settings so you get rid of the snowy feel to the pics taken on a magician/xda mini.
is this possible with blueangel??, has this been asked before???
if yes it is possible, then please advise as if you can do it on the mini, im sure you can on BA.
cheers 8)

not on mine either, i thought about puttigng settings in myself, but i dont really want to kill my fone, i just hope there is some kind of fix like the one for the magician!
is there anyone willing enough to test it and see if you put them in manually and see if it works? im not a good enough expert and im a beginner at this stuff, im too scared.
I found that lowering the sharpness level to Low works better indoors with fluorescent lighting. I just change it back to normal when i'm using the camera outside.
I really do appreciate the efforts of all those people working hard to make our Diamonds better. Here I'd like to post a list of things we could suggest to them. Even if we don't know anything about rom cooking or progamming, we could post our hopes and maybe chefs could get good ideas for their future works.
My personal wishlist is
- using touch-sensing ring for up/down/left/right moves
- tilting left/right to switch Touch Flo 3D tabs and for back/forward in Opera browser
- haptic feedback when using virtual keyboards
- adjustable keypad light timeout
ps sorry for bad english
It would be fine if someone figures out the problem with the static navigation mode
of the GPS chipset! Before the Diamond I owned a Trinity, which had also an Qualcom chipset, but worked rather perfect without any noticable lag...
I've tried almost every well known navigation programs, but they all lag like hell.
Reception although is very impressive, I always get a fix in a few seconds!

you really want your TF3D to switch tabs every time you accidentally move your hand? i can't imagine anything more annoying.. haha
Think one of the most important is getting a 'today agenda' underneath the TFLO3D homescreen ...
So when swiping the clock upwards, a very rich agenda can be seen.
And changing/removing/reordering TFLO3D tabs
Put HOME in the middle
I think what massimax asked for is really great, these are the thing we need. Chefs seriously try to do these please.

also, on my old E6, i was able to hold the answer key to enable max brightness...
and hold it again to return it to original
is there any way i can do this, is there a program for keymapping for this or will this need to be put into the rom
the reason i ask for this option is that max brightness makes sunlight legibility much better...
Why not make your own rom with these things done. It's a bit much just making a thread of requests, the cooks are all normal guys with jobs and families or whatever like the rest of us, they work out fixes and make ROM's faster, but making a list of things for cooks to do isn't right in my opinion.

I guess a real user friendly ROM kitchen would make so much more possible from the people on these forums. At this moment many are still trying to figure out just how to cook your own ROM...
I would like to know if there is a registry or app that turns off the keyboard backlight.
The idea is save battery life during the day or while reading a big text. I already use the Lowlight to reduce the light intensity but the keyb light many times is useless.
I already teste some regs mentioned for others phones but didn't work in the nrg rose (QKeybTimeout and QKeyb another thing...).
I noticed that the keyb light turns off while browsing a big email in the native wm mail. I think it's possible to find a reg monitoring this function, but i don't know about any wm 6.1 reg monitor like ceregspy for ppc.
thanks for the help
go to power management in settings and you can lower the time that it's lit up

Ever think of searching through the registry yourself? I'll do it when I have time but instead of complaining that someone did not read your post how about trying to help yourself first?

if device lock - keyboard light off.
if device reboot - keyboard light light more times off.
if we turn off keyboard light - device life is long
/sorry of my english
any new ideas?
(i want save the battery and turn off backligh keyboard)
here's something for ya, i've only tried this on my blackjack 1 though.
go to HKCU\ControlPanel\KeypadBacklight and change your registry settings to look like this.
EndTime...........0x0(0)
mode...............0x1(1)
i'll make a cab, so if you don't like it you can uninstall it.

hmm... maybe i spoke to soon, i'll test it out on my dash and see what happens.
EDIT well stylez your right, ookba's 6.5 doesn't even have it. so adding it in won't do any good either. it worked on my bj1 that's running starca's 6.1. but obviously a different phone and such.

It's worth a try to create the reg, just been searchin and seems a common question on many phones that no one answers
haha well i have nothing going on at the moment, so i'll make a small effort to figure it out. no promises though people.
EDIT well after some searching i would like to think i've narrowed it down to the HTCUtil.dll and/or the keybddr.dll that controls how long the keypad lights are on. but i have no way of telling for sure, just a guess.
So anybody? make a cab that has a simple icon like light config, lets make it so all power on keyboard is off during the day.
or something. ?

Well without knowing how to control it then a "simple" .cab with .lnk is out of the question

Ahh lol no doubt i know this is kinda an old question so shes dead too bad, lights out for during the day would been nice, my battery in my S621 on wi-fi all day gives me 10 hours 11am-9pm i bet battery life would last like insane if we could disable the lights on keys.
Upgrade WM6.5 ROM V6.30EN By Lovebabyjing Build 23017 - it includes options for this, go to Settings -> Power Management. There you'll find settings that work for the keypad too!

i know that why i ask for any one to make a smart program!!!i think that program save the 1st touch then go to the second and x2 the middle kinda complicated
BUT SHOULD WORK
To my knowledge, some apps actually already use this technique. When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that. It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

Well....we know that Opera doesnt...and IE and Skyfire and so on....
Seems like those would be the only relavent apps right?
i mean for me the multitouch would be the most usefull in web browsing...not so much in any other programs...

Jees. Calm down.
Yeah, you're getting a bit hyped there. Perhaps its time for you to get another phone?
Anyway, there was a GBA emulator around which used that, since you wouldn't be able to press both movement and something else at the same time. I have no idea where it is though - was months ago I saw it.
jea got this GBA prog but never played on touchscreen, opera with multitouch would be very fine, but the display of the xperia x1 is to small for that aktion by using fingers... thats my point of view, but i thougt that the hardkeyboard is to small to type, too. and i was wrong
so it would be a nice gag to get opera browser with multitouch function..

Hi!
Please be careful not to make people crazy about a resistive touchscreen, to become a real multitouch with a piece of software.
A resitive touchscreen like on the Xperia is not like the capacitive ones.
There is simply a physical limit.
Please get yourself a little background about these technologies.
When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that.

Angelusz is absolutely right. Nothing more nothing less!
With a resisitive touchscreen, you can sample only one "touch" at one moment in time.
It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

I won't doubt that some tricky programmers may use the effect, to get something like a multitouch feeling, but the real UI will never behave like it does e.g. on an iphone.
Please slow down dxdiadora

thnx for the information about multitouch but can u plz think about my idea :
to make a prog that:
1.take your first touch save it while you still thouching it you touch somewhere els and "it presses the middle of them " then if you move your finger then the middle moves and the prog will chek if it is closer to the 1st point that he saved so it zoom in the first point you pressed
i know that it cant be like iphone but plzz can u try this trick?? ill be so pleased
thnxxx for helping anyway
As far as I know. and I am really sure about this.. You cant use Multi touch on the x1. like. never unless you changed the touch panel on the phone it self or something like that.
[EDIT]
You know what?? I've decided to shut up. it's a shame really that op is making such a big deal out of this crap. multitouch on resistive? ok.
now cool down a bit, otherwise You may jizz in Your pants...
problem with your idea is that, it doesnt see the first finger placement, the sensors are in the corners , so it doesn't tell where you press, but the dead center of pressure, and it counts that as one press, not two separate finger positions. That being said, there is no possible way for it to save the first press, because the first press doesn't actually exist
iswish
can some1 find the software any cab of this iswish please
i realy want the pinch to zoom !!!!!

Hi,
i am totally new to xda-developers and also to windows mobile, so if i make mistakes please just tell me and dont make trouble i will learn from my mistakes
i have the HTC Touch pro 2 and i actual am discovering my posibillities how to tune up my phone.
But now my question:
the cametra of this device and its autofokus ist not very good. i have to hold the phone really save without any movement to get a sharp image. any move of less than an millimeter and the picture is unsharp (sorry for my bad english, i am german) .
also another fact gets on my nerves:
the time from hitting the button till the autofocus ist ready to shoot ist much too long.
is there any way to switch of the autofocus on the HTC Toch pro 2 and to tune up the camera? i know of different drivers for the dcamera of the diamond so are there better drivers than the original htc driver for the touch pro II too?
with the original settings and drivers the phone is just good to make pictures with an tripod- but to make snapshots the camera isnt useful.
if i posted in the wrong area please move this post and tell me ´bout what i did wrong.
thank you fr your help folks and greetings from germany, bochum.
First of all welcome to XDA. This is the proper forum for your question.
I have not played with the TP2 camera yet as mine is in shipping, however my Kaiser (the predecessor) of the TP2 had an adjustment in the camera set up to change the time between pushing the button and when picture would be taken. There were also other settings that can be changed such as sound etc.
One thing I did find with the autofocus is that if the light is low it takes a long time to get a focus.
I would be interested to see if there is a better driver for the camera. I know on my kaiser I used Navadi's camera and album ripped from another phone. If there is a better one out there I am sure someone will point us in the right direction.
Enjoy your stay, read lots before asking and all will be well. People here are very helpful provided the question is intelligent and properly asked. If you show them you have tried to find an answer they will help you get what you have missed.
hey,
thanks for your fast answer. well, i am very interested in everything arround mobile phones. i made some mods for the motorola razr v3 and i also will start to discover my possibilities for working with windows phone 6.5- and yes, i will read much here. if i will have infos that might be interesting for people here you can be sure i´ll post them here.
well- ´bout the camera- i will stay searching. maybe i can find some ways to make it better
can u giv me the linkk for the camera driver i cant find 1
