On my TP2 Facebook integration is fine for most contacts but for some of them it can't seem to get their profile picture. Its bizarre because it used to be able to get it for same users when I first got the phone.
Anyone else having this problem?
you have to keep refreshing it like a million times until they all load. its stupid, but that's the only way i got it to work
Yip, i just forgot about mine, and eventually the pictures were there.

Does anyone know how to clear all the contacts in the Facebook list? My mate logged in sometime ago and now when i log in, i dont see my friends list but his! i dont updates on updates page as well and even when i click the edit contact and click the "link to facebook" tab, it does not show my contacts list! is there a file i need to delete?

I remember seeing that in the registry, I believe. I think it was in hkey-user/software/manilla but i'm not positive on that. one of the values was for the facebook user login name.
I have the same issue.... Only a few of my friends don't update
I have one person that won't update. It's because of thier privacy/profile access setting on facebook. That's the only thing I can figure out.

Maybe I just have to wait longer.
I actually had more photos yesterday than today.
All other fuctions appear to work OK...but photos and INBOX just never stop fetching.

Can anyone tell me if they've experienced this problem too please. I keep losing one particular contact on my HTC Desire. Once I've saved the contact to the phone, it could be there for a day or for 5 days before the cantact is deleted on its own accord!
Any ideas???

Nope, nothing mate, just a plain old name and a phone number.
When you save it, try saving it as a google contact, then sync it. I had that problem till I did this.

I was set in Google Contact and my Contact still deleted from my Contact
How to fix it?
Try adding it on your PC (in Gmail, via browser). I know it's not really a fix, nor it helps you understand what's going on, or prevent it happen with another contact but ... it's worth trying.
Its actually losing any new contact now. I saved a new one last Saturday, and now its "lost" it already! :-(
I had this problem on stock orange Rom.
Have had no problems since I rooted.
Guys, it seems to happen to any new contact. Any idea why this is happening? I'm not even close to the maximum number of contacts.

I had this issue with my Hero, that it would delete the second phone number I added to a contact, everytime I synced.
I got around this by changing the sync options to "replace item on PC" in the conflicts section, and it worked.
It seems for some reason the sync kept thinking the new data in the phone somehow is the older one or someting.
Give it a go and tell us what happened.
But this isn't even happening when I sync mate! :-( It just doing it randomly, any new contact I add.
Guys, was just checking System Updates on my phone, and Software 1.21.405.2 was available. I've just downloaded and installed it, was looking through me phone including my messages and noticed its added one of my missing contacts!!! :-D Hopefully was bug has been fixed!!!
I had a similar issue a few days ago - I added a couple of contacts to one of the default 'Groups' (Family, Friends etc).
Once added they disappeared from my contacts list on the handset. I moved over to the 'Call History' panel and found them, and switched the group option back off. But they were still not showing in my contacts. I thought they'd been deleted.
I jumped into G-Mail Contacts on the PC and found that they were still in the 'All Contacts' list, but had been taken out of the 'My Contacts' list.
By selecting each contact, and clicking the large 'Move To My Contacts' button on the top bar, they instantly reappeared back on the phone again.
Hope this makes sense and stops anyone wasting time trying putting the contact info back in again.
All this happened before the latest 1.21.405.2 - maybe this has been fixed though.

This is why I suggested adding a contact in Gmail. If you have problems with Google apps (gmail, contacts, calendar) it's allways good to check with the mothership (Google) to see what's going on.

I understand what your saying mate, but I'm a bit of a tart, I'd want all my contacts the same and be on the phone, not as SIM, Google, etc... I know what your saying is an easy fix, but it shouldn't be like that, the phone should bloody manage something simple as remembering a phone number! lol.

Yes I have the same problem. I hardly ever sync my phone because I have a Mac. Today my contact of my husband just disappeared, this contact I use the most, has the most details within it.
I know that the new download may fix this, but I use Skype on 3 and I do not know if skype will work after the upgrage. I use Skype to contact my family in South Africa.
Not sure what I did to cause this, but as of last night (didnt install anything..was just playing around with the phone) my contacts in SMS do not have their default icon which is typically their image from FB.
Any idea how to correct this?
I downloaded chompSMS this morning, and verified the contact images are pulling through correctly there...its the stock SMS app thats not rendering contact icons accordingly.

Try to re-sync your fb account and once is syncs reboot. Sometimes it takes time for pics to display for contacts. Its happen to me where I see fb pic on people app and not in sms app but after a while fb pics show up everywhere.

yea im having the same problem. some contacts show in sms no poblem but most just show the silhouette. also under contacts some show the correct updated facebook picture while others seem to be ones they had months ago and it wont update to the new one.
i did search online earlier and from what i can see is that its pretty widespread throughout android systems like hero, evo, etc... blah i want a fix

Recently I have been experiancing some problems with the synching of contacts through Facebook to my Evo, specifically the picture aspect of it. Out of about 100 or so contacts on my phone, only about 10 actually have their up to date facebook picture as the contact icon. Everyone that I want with the picture is linked to facebook, yet their picture still doesnt show. I can see their status's and even their photo albums, but still no contact picture. Anyone know the answer?
I think its a app called syncmypix heard that works well

You could always manually switch their picture though edit contact to the facebook one. This may take too much of your time but it should work. Unless of course you already tried that.

The 2 nd and this is the little problem is that sometimes when I get a text message appears to me that I have a new text message even after have read and erased and this does not go away unless you delete all sms from this contact.

Hi,
I don't know about the first one ( I'm searching ) but the second is a known bug, unfortunately. It is resolved in custom ROMs like Android Revolution HD ( tested ) and all others ( I guess..never tried the other roms ).
