Is their a way to stop the back light from coming on when it comes to watching videos off the youtube app? When I watch movies on my phone using Coreplayer the back light never go off.
Let me know guys! Thanks!

I have searched and cant find this previously mentioned.
When recording video every minute or so the camera is re-focusing which looks really crap when watching it back as its constantly going blurry then coming back into focus. (very visible on a large TV)- is there a way to stop it doing this? e.g. turn auto focus off? If not i will send it back and use my old N8 till something better comes along.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

First off, my Incredible 2 is rooted but it does not have a custom ROM on it. I rooted it so I could mess with the power usage and other things so I don't have to charge it nearly as much.
Now then, I believe the thread title says it all: I used to be able to stream videos from my phone's browser... now I can't. It instead tries to download all files I click Play on, which is very annoying. I've tried with both the default browser and with Firefox - both do the same thing.
Does anyone know what's going on? Can someone help me find a solution or workaround? I don't want to fill up my SD card with videos that I want to watch while slightly bored at work on break.
Thanks!
Bumping this once before I let it die
Running a totally stock OGP (for now). Whenever I go into video mode and shoot a video and stop it, then a few seconds/minutes later shoot a second video (such as at one of the kids sports games), the second video is automatically attached to the first video, as one long run-on video. I'd like to be able to shoot and possibly delete separate videos but it comes out as one long file.
I've looked throughout the setting but cannot find any settings that allow distinct, separate videos. Am I missing something? How do I get the phone to make separate files for each time I ask it to video?
I think you are hitting pause and not stop. Pause is 2 bars. Stop is the square... This question also goes in q&a...

I hate to admit this is writing, but I am a dumbass!!! Duh, you are correct. I was hitting pause, not stop. I thought the lower button was for taking stills while videoing. I was mistaken on that as well. The lower one is stop and the upper one is for taking stills.
Now, how about this...when I "stop" shooting a video, it comes out of video mode and leaves me back in still photography mode. Is there some way to make it stay in video mode, when I stop shooting a video? Also, does "auto review" do anything in video mode? It works as expected in photo mode...
So this is a problem I've had since switching to the Note....videos play fine on youtube but eveywhere else, I get nothing. Some examples - if I load Facebook in the browser (doesn't matter which, I currently use Now), I get the video preview but when I press play, goes black. If I try to load a video through tapatalk, black. If i try and watch a youtube vid attached to a play store app, black screen (unless I jump over to the YT app). This also happens when trying to watch any video on a web page and in Reddit Now. Videos work just fine on Instagram.
I'm stumped. Ive switched the video player back and forth in Dev options with no success. Has anyone had this issue?

Well that worked one time and then stopped. I was able to load an instagram video in the browser, but since then, its back to nothing working. Removed Flash as well.
I really dont want to reset the phone, and likely wont. Its more of a minor annoyance than anything else. Still sucks not being able to play any videos in a browser.
So I made a cool discovery. If you want the stock youtube app to play with screen off, answering a phone call with the popup panel while youtube is playing, then letting the screen turn off by auto sensor (not by manual turn off but by putting the phone to your face), then letting the other party end the call, will resume youtube with the sound playing in the background with screen off when the call ends. screen off youtube is something long coveted by youtubers, but will now get your 3rd party app pulled from the market. so to find this trick to do it on the stock youtube app was pretty funny imo. AUCU2COC6 is the firmware version I'm running. not rooted, stock everything, so SHOULD work for you.
there's possibly better ways to trigger it without calling yourself from a second phone lol, but yeah if you ever wanted to listen to youtube without figuring out a way to pocket your phone without the screen messing up, now ya know.
Or download ogtube. Version 0.9 seems the best.
