Does AudioPara3 really work? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3933336&postcount=2
For some reason I don't notice a difference unless I'm doing something wrong. Extract the file then move that file (AudioPara3.csv) into the Windows folder that's tin the internal drive and then soft reset correct?
Is their a cab file yet for this that will do the work for me automatically? I know in the link it says coming soon, but maybe he forgot. Lol
Unless someone else did it and would like to share. Thanks!

made the CAB this morning

oh yeah, & you did it a lil wrong. Pretty much you copy AudioPara3.csv's contents over to AudioPara3_Tmo.csv
or something like that
the CAB will just replace AudioPara3_Tmo.csv with the right file.

Thank you guys!

Need help extracting gwes

Hey all,
I am trying to change the wait symbol animation on my PPC, and have read up on it, but all the directions say I need to copy the gwes.exe.0409.mui from the windows folder, modify it, and overwrite the old one with the modified. Unfortunately, I can't even copy it out of the windows folder. Seems like no one can get it to work very well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-270645.html
Does anyone know how I can copy and then overwrite the file?
Come on, I know someone here must know how to do this.
use a program like gsfinder+
Hey Sleuth,
I've tried using GSFinder+ and Resco File Explorer. On both programs, it will let me use the copy command, but when I try to paste it in another folder it says that the file cannot be copied. Any ideas?
Basically, I'm hoping there's an easier way to get at the file than dumping the whole ROM.
Same problem here, any ideas?

please delete solved

May sound dumb to some of you but i do not understand on how to install a patch please help have searched thank you
Put it over the eye that hurts??
Seriously, what "patch" are you referring to? A .CAB file, a .ZIP file, a .REG file??? If you tell us what you want to do....i.e. what you want to install, then we can help you....
i have schaps 4.30 and he put up a patch but its in rar form but i cant unzip on my phone for some reason and if i try unzip before i put it on i dont know where to put it either way heres there forum its on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355774
thanks
I don't see a RAR file in that thread, all the attachments seem to be .CAB files, but hey, maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough!!! Anyway.......
To unpack RAR files, you can use WinRAR (http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/wrar371.exe) on your PC to extract the contents of the RAR archive. Unpack them to any folder on your PC (e.g. C:\TEMP) and then use ActiveSync's Explore button to find the file on your PC and then copy the file across to your phone (e.g. My Documents or Storage Card).
It's quite likely that the RAR file only contains a CAB file which you can then open on your phone - use File Explorer to find the CAB file, then tap on it to install it.
You should follow any specific instructions in Schap's thread when installing the CAB file, but in any event it's probably a good idea to soft reset your phone after you've installed something.
Hope this helps,
Mark.
ok after you pointed out a cab(i feel like a idiot my bad ) i figured it out thank you very much for all your all every one thank you .
sincerely justin

Putting new programs / cab files onto the pro 2?

So, I used to have a tytn2, and played with it a bit, so I am familiar with how to put cab files on it, etc.
I'm stumped right now... because I have my new pro 2, and when I download the program, it is supposed to show up as a cab file, when I unzip it. But actually, when I unzip it, I just am seeing several files, such as one ending in xml, and then another one or few ending with 000, or 001, 002, etc.
From what I remember, when I used to put the cab files onto my tytn2, I would just unzip whatever the program was, and I could see a cab file there, which I would then transfer to my device and then run.
What in the world am I doing wrong here?
Help would be super appreciated!
problem solved
problem solved, im an idiot. for some reason my system is showing the cab file as a zip file which wants to be unzipped. so i've not realized that i've been double clicking cab files, and then winzip is showing me the insides of those files.
= )
So I take it you just changed the file name from zip to cab?
Either that or he has the file explorer on his computer set to hide known extensions. Cab files are recognized as compressed file formats by many handlers like 7zip. Which is why he might have confused the icon for a zip file if he couldn't see the file extension.

Need copy of qtv.dll

Anyone got a copy of qtv.dll I can download? I want to see what I can do with it...
Unfortunately, I can't copy it off my phone and have failed in finding it elsewhere. If there are related files to qtv.dll I could use those, too.
Thanks!
I believe I did it myself... dump the rom and then extract files out...
Hopefully it's an exact copy...
can you upload the file here too please? have you figured out what is need register the dll in the system?

SPen sounds

I Have here a set of sounds that is really the same sound that is renamed to Pen_att_noti2.ogg and Pen_det_noti2.ogg that mimic a sword being pulled from its sheath. I did not create it. I simply just downloaded the sound file and converted it to ogg then renamed it. I am bringing it to you lovely peeps here in hopes someone will get as much enjoyment out of it as I do. To use you must be rooted and must have a file manage to copy and paste it from your sd card to "system/media/audio/ui". I would recomend before doing so that you use your file manager and rename the exsisting sounds to Pen_att_noti2.ogg.bak and Pen_det_noti2.ogg.bak that way you will have them for later use. I have uploaded a zip file just download unzip place the files and enjoy.
ALSO BEFORE DOING ANYTHING - make a nandroid backup if you havent already done so. You just never know if something may go wrong and have to restore. I know these are nothing more then simple sounds for anyones enjoyment but i feel as though I must reiterate the usual mantra....I am not responsible if you burn, destroy, or kill things with your device...flash and drink responsibly.....lawlz
oh and dont "stab" anyone with your new "sword pen"
more lol

Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
2 More sets of spen goodness
I have 2 more sets of sounds to throw up here. Again same method to apply them. This time they are not just repeated sounds for taking out and putting back in the spen. I hopes you all enjoy. FYI.....mantra above......If your sity shall burn i am not responsible lol.
Thanks all and more to come. also I will do my best to fill any requests. Another thing once I figure out how to make all of this into one actual post that I can just add to as I get more sounds I will do so lol until then we gets the sloppyness. Quick break down. Download, Unzip, place files on sd card, use a file manager to paste them in "system/media/audio/ui" change permissions to RW-----R-----. Reboot if you must and Enjoy
Excellent work !!!!!!!
