Please look at post #3. THE ANSWER IS CLEAR. This is a duplicated thread.
For a senior you seem pretty vague about the protocol of reading threads!
Again, will a Moderator please close this thread

Do people really think that opening up duplicate threads will make it appear any faster? Perhaps instead of opening add'l threads, they can learn how to make it available themselves...Either do it yourself or be a little more patient!

Senior or not,for me grade is not important, the essential is to try to help people, not criticize them ! For one time, please try to do the same thing.

I'm really agree with you Marc, there are the moderators which decides what are the threads that needs to be closed or not, but there's still someone who thinks that being a "Senior Member" allows him to say and decide like a mod. Please try to be more useful and kind for this forum and not so useless with all those critics.

But next time you should post your questions in right section

How do I give thanks for a post?

Hello, all.
First of all, let me say that I did not make the decision to create a thread lightly. I have been a member of this forum for over a year, and this is my first post. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find this simple answer.
How do I thank a member for his/her excellent work? Specifically, I have been trying to thank twa_priv for his excellent Kindle Fire JB build, which I have been using fr the last week or so. I cannot find a thank button. I do not have permission to post in the thread; (which I do not have any intention of doing, anyway, unless I have a specific question or error to report) but, does that mean I do not have permission to thank? Do I need to spam away 9 more posts to have the right to thank someone? I read that there should be a picture of a flower (or, at least, there would be on Tapatalk, which I am not using), but don't see anything of the sort using Chrome on Ubuntu.
Thank you in advance.

Now that you have replied, the "Thanks" button has appeared on your and others' posts. I don't understand why it wasn't before, but all is fine now. Thank you!

Hey, and you even hit it. Awesome! Perhaps you just need someone to reply to one of your posts to activate it initially? I learned something today.
Give thanks
left side there is a thanks button
To activate the thanks button, you need atleast one post as a member...

And after posting sign out and back in. That is what worked for me.
And thanks to a.cid for posting how to be a new user. I read that a while back, before I ever joined xda. :banghead:

That's exactly the information I was looking for. The link was helpful, too. You may have noticed that I gave a disclaimer to my post. I have been using this forum for thirteen months without ever having posted anything. I felt like a total jerk for even having had to create a thread for something so trivial. I usually search and easily find the answer to any question, but was not finding anything about this. I am certainly trying not to be obnoxious to anyone. Thanks again!

We need more members who know how to search for answers. The fact that you made it 13 months without posting is impressive.
Thank you all for this post. Had I searched a day or two earlier, it probably would have been a lot harder to find this info.
Moved to About XDA section.
hopefully this solves it
I have the same problem. Hopefully this first post of mine will reveal the illusive thanks button

[GUIDE] How to be a New User (and not a noob)
Trying to be a good new user I searched for how to give thanks and found this thread instead of spaming other threads with "Thanks for posting" Appreciate the clarification on why I couldn't see the thanks button.
Thank YOU!
I actually joined this site just to thank someone who posted an updated app, but wasn't sure how until I saw this.
Feels like a lot of hoops, but hopefully it's worth it.
It's at the bottom-left of the post . I don't have it at first but after my first post , *poof* it's there and available XD
Thanks for the thread as I also want to be able to give people their just due.
Just in addition:
On Tapatalk and XDA app, just long-press the post you want to thank for, then scroll a little bit to the right in the appearing actions menu and select "Thanks" (may be in your system's language).
Enable thanks button by having a post
This is my obligatory first post to enable the thanks button. Figured this was the best thread to do it.

Congratulations

How about I show I'm from mexico and possessing a lg-gt540 and thanks to this forum and I have made my phone je waste, but I always find solution here.
Well the cards is for leoposas companion for his mod 3.5, for me is very fluid and there are no more reboots (of course only if you have the wifi enabled phone and sleep) but that I had become accustomed to the Version 2 November 2011, but was only there in handsfree does not work (so far I have not found solution) hoping to continue to provide this type of mods, I send greetings from Mexico.
PS: Excuse my English but is translated from google translator but I think if you understand that?
Goodbye:good:
Welcome to XDA, but is there a particular point to this thread? I don't see a question being asked or a ROM, etc being shared. Please clarify, thanks.
Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a forum dedicated to introducing yourself. The best place I can direct you is the Say "Hi" thread in the Off-topic section. Thread closed.

Correct me if i am wrong, but that is just so DEVs/Themers can put their screenshots into that "fake screen" to show off their work in a "cooler" fashion then just posting a screenshot.

Exactly, these .PSDs are document layouts/template files for Photoshop. No idea what OP is trying to do with them exactly, but they sound kinda confused about what they have downloaded...
