Pause S2U2? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi,
There are certain times when I don't need it to auto lock. How do I switch it off? I've looked through the options and can't find the button.
Thanks!

I changed the registry.
When the backlight is off and the screen is lock, the backlight does not go on when I unlock the screen at this moment.
Have to press the power button to turn the screen off and on again for the backlight to work properly.
Is there a resolution on this?
Thank you.

It looks that there is a problem with Blackstone Roms, all of them have this problem. I always used autolock and my solution was to disable the Dim timer on the Power settings.
This way the phone will only locks when it powers off.
I'm not facing this issue with Duttys 6.5 Leo Test 2

I can confirm that! I don't have the issue with that ROM.
But:
When i press the CallEnd button for some seconds to lock the screen manually then there seems to be a kind of a delay until the lock screen appears.
is there a way to get the lock screen immediately or is it a general winmobile issue?
I don't know why, but nobody mentioned S2U2. Works perfectly on all Dutty ROM's and does all the things needed to solve this problem.
I set it to "Lock when device wakes up". Additionally I chose not to use S2A (Slide to Answer) in favor of the default answering slider which works like a charm for me. When somebody calls me S2U2 automatically unlocks and I have full access to the answering buttons.
Further I disabled the automatic power off by S2U2 and let WinMo do this in order to prevent conflicts between the different power managments.

[Q] Lock Pattern only at first boot?

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible for my phone to only ask for a lock pattern when I first turn it on, then revert to slide. If that is possible is there any way to lock it so it asks for the pattern when I want?
Thanks.
As of stock I don't think that's possible. Various custom roms like CM7 give you the option of adding timeouts to the pattern lock.
Or you can always default to using the simcard lock if you just want to stop the phone from being used without your permission.
You mean adding a pin to unlock the simcard would prompt only on first boot?
hope someone can help you
I think Tasker with Secure Settings can help you. With the two I have it set so that when I log into my home wifi I only have to put my lock pattern in once and out then reverts to the slide lock. I'm sure you could mess with the profile and set it up how you want.
Yep. It'll only trigger again if you go to airplane mode and back. Or when you reboot again.

Turn off knock on?

Hi guys, does anyone know how to turn off knock on on the G3? Tried looking for it in gestures settings like in the G2 but can't seem to find it. The g3 keeps waking while in my pocket making it feels constantly warm. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't mind just using the button at the back to wake it. The placement for the button is quite comfortable actually.
I'm sorry to hear this is a problem on the g3, I have this problem on the double tap to wake code on my Nexus 5 and so I just turned it off. I know for the galaxy 2, sorry g2, voice dictation, they released firmware fix for this I think

Can you tell me how you did the wake code on the nexus 5?
And to the op, isn't there a setting in the screen gestures section of the phone to turn it off?
You can turn it off in the hidden system settings menu
Dial 3845#*855# to access it.

It is the very last setting in the list, just scroll all the way down to the bottom.
If you have the Korean model replace the 855 with 400
I turned this feature off as it will save battery life too as it needs to keep the screen driver awake happy using the back button.

855 opens my hidden menu. But I still can figure out which option to choose after scrolling down to the bottom. The screen shot shows my menu. Could u let me know which option should I be disabling?

we don't have that functionality by default, it's patched into custom kernels and eats 2-3% battery per hour (another reason I turn it off)
Just so you know, I had issues with Knock On unlocking my phone in my pocket so I turned it upside down and the issue is 100% gone !
I think it's due to the light sensor not being 100% in the dark then the taps on the lap unlocked the phone. When it's upside down the light sensor is kept in the dark
I just can't find that setting... Ive looked everywhere. My phone is rooted with towelroot. Is that the problem?

Is it really the light sensor? I think the proximity sensor would make more sense in this case! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the knock on feature in the darkness...
Screen wakes in my pocket whichever way up I put it in and I don't want to have the screen face outwards. This is very annoying and didn't happen on my G2 - The screen is clearly very sensitive. I don't want to turn off knock on and I don't really like knock code.

Same here. Upside up or Upside down makes no difference for me. Display from body away seems to be the only real solution...
Looks like a few of u are experiencing the same problem. I have been facing the screen away from me as a solution but it feels so awkward when I m so used to have the screen face in. And I can't find the hidden settings to turn knock on off. They really hid very well I guess.

Flashlight/Torch turns on by itself

I have had an issue since getting this phone...occasionally the flashlight/torch turns on by itself. I thought that maybe I was accidentally touching the icon in the pull down notifications so I removed the icon but it still randomly turns on. Is there some way of turning it on that I am not aware of?

without more data on your setup the answer is yes tons of ways, too many to type.
usually easier if you provide more info about your phone.

Too many ways to turn on the flashlight? Hmmm
I am running a stock rooted Pixel XL. Something keeps turning it on from a locked screen, how many ways can there be?
No flash apps to speak of?

I bet you have power button to turn torch on. It's a lockscreen screen off feature in most ROMs.

Kill app when screen turned off

There is a setting I had found to kill an app when the screen was turned off and now I'm trying to go back to find that and I can't. Does anyone know where that setting resides?
I know in developers options, in app section there is a toggle that will kill app when you leave it. When screen turns off, I don't know that one.but will help look

This setting was to select individual apps that get killed. I've found it a couple times in a sub menu but I can never find it when I want it.
It's in the device maintenance>battery.
It's at the bottom.
