i need some help to find a wm5 rom for the dell axim x50... i know that there are some roms for the x50v but i dont think they will work on my x50(mid, 520Mhz) the rason i need it so bad is because the wifi drivers are missing for this pda wm2k3se and i cant get it to run...so please if anyone can link my or something

Nope, Dell havent released an update and probs wont. I have an X51 mid its annoying because there are X50v and X51v Roms on here but the x50v and x51v have VGA screens and Graphics cards lol

ppc does not work anymore.
Is it possible to put windows mobile 5.0 on it again...and the next question is where can i find wm5.0.

downloaded a small programm with wich you can make crc files etc.. that you can put on a sd card.
I needed the dutch wm 5.0 ...but finally succeeded.

one is for the middle level unit and the other for the basic model. not sure if the rom is any different.
you give the dell rom (.img) here. i may have bricked my x50, but can't tell until i get the wm5 bootloader and os image in the .nbo format. can you post that version?

Getting the bootloader is easy. I use a special program that I found on the internet a while back. As for the os nb0 file, I already have some nb0 files for the X50(mid) that work over at aximsite (I just have to migrate them to a new server because of problems with the current one).
x50 wm5 upgrade
i really need some help getting this to work. it turns out that i found a A01 wm05 and tried to flash it. the bootloader bar at the top said "SD Image Update A02", but i went ahead anyway. after the update process, i hard reset, but it's still a brick. the unit will go into A02 diagnostic mode, and the hardware seems to check out so i don't think it's totally fried. i'm dazed and confused on where to go from here. any suggestions?

There is no WM6 for the X50(mid) or X50(low) yet. I will make it once I get done with the WM5 A03 rom.

I've been searching for about 3 days (obviously not in the right forums) for how to upgrade my Dell axim x50 from WM2003SE to WM5 then to WM6/6.1 and where to get the files to do this.....any help or direction to any thread or other website that could help me out would be greatly greatly appreciated. Please note that a WM6 rom for X50(mid) does not exist yet (I'm working on it). As for the update from WM2003 SE to WM5, you need to get your hands on a WM5 upgrade cd. For more information please see the X50 section at Aximsite.
