hi, i have a minor problem using mobipocket ebook reader. its really very annoying that the backlight turns off after my preset "turn off backlight if device is not used for..." which is 30 secs. i use the autoscroll function of the reader and i dont understand why the iis fails to recognise that mobipocket is running.is there a workaround for this problem?
2 things to look for.
1. in the backlight settings, tick on... turn on backlight when the screen is tapped.. probably it is already done.
2. in mobipocket --- general settings, tick touch screen turn page..
if this does not work.. then just reinstall

thanks for the response but the solution you proposed is not exactly connected to my problem because i dont want to use the tap screen to turn page function.i use autoscroll.primarily,i want for the backlight to stay on while im reading without having to constantly tap on the screen as it scrolls.as you probably know, once you tap on the screen scrolling stops and it really annoys me because i read so that i could get sleepy.it kinda defeats the purpose of "AUTO"scroll if you have to still use the stylus or your finger to keep the backlight on.

I don't want to revive a five-year-ago problem again, but I have the same problem. While autoscroll is active, the backlight turns off!
Any suggestions?
usually, if you set your display backlight to turn off after 30sec without activity, it will switch off after 30sec. without activity. no surprises there.
activity for that setting is defined by tapping the screen or pressing a hardware button, not by any program running.
usually games, the camera and multimedia players bypass that with their own setting of keeping the backlight alive while the program is run, so you could for example run tcpmp or coreplayer on pause in the background to keep the display lid.
or you set your backlight not to turn off when on ac power and connect the cable.
This may sound dumb but where do you turn on/off the
auto-rotate accelerometer in the Touch Pro 2?
Thanks.
Go to Settings>G-Sensor>Auto Screen Rotation>Off
there is no this option, there is just Calibrate button and some media with bubbles. anyone can say how to turn this on TP2?

Slide along your Touch-Flo bar to the settings tab. scroll down hit G-sensor then turn it off.
Does anyone know how to disable the sensor that turns off/on the lcd when you put the phone to your face?
This is a HUGE problem when I AM ON A CALL using bluetooth headset and the phone is in my pocket or belt case and the stupid sensor would randomly turn the screen on and then random keys would be pressed during call or apps launched.
I have s2u2 slide lock but it doesnt lock phone while in call, please help. THank s.
Not a fix, but, TouchLock Pro locks it when that sensor blanks the screen.

where can i get that? thx!!
The display is set to stay on for 1 minute, but when on the lock screen, the display shuts off in seconds. I cannot seem to find an option to change this. Does anyone know where to locate it?
During the day, here is no need for the screen to be lit. But looks like it turns backlight on when turn on...
Tried to use minimum light instead of automatic, but still turns on the backlight :\
Any ideas?
Bump, was about to ask the same question.
In Android 5.0.1 you can turn off the backlight on motions.
Can not turn it off when you receive notifications but me I see no huge issue.
There is a app .... think somebody posted it in Android Wear forum that gives you more control if you want it darker.
edit
To lock your screen press the side button 3 times consecutively. Your screen will stay on without the backlight (monochrome look) but won't turn on when u look at or touch the screen. You can activate the screen with 1 click. Or unlock it again with 3 clicks. Handy for saving battery life I just found it by messing about and was looking everywhere on forums.
