I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but is there anyway to transfer everything i.e. passwords, cookies, favourites to opera 9.7 from the default 9.5 browser on the touch pro 2?
I have the telus version CDMA

I wondered if Mozilla would ever come out with a mobile browser! I gotta check it out.
to me really ... it looks dull .... no like cool graphics,,, no 2008 and beyond look... but it has no flash ... no disrespect.. to you or mozilla but i excepted better from them but who knows .... maybe its only a beta or something
it is beta...
but come on what would you expect from an aplication on a mobile phone... what about the graphs of opera or IE are they much better...
hmm how does this differ from the older versions? because ive 'used' them and it was awful.
first time i tried it, it wouldnt even start, second time in interface was so difficult to navigate...
Is there a smartphone version of the browser, too?

I would assume that they are talking about a smartphone browser! Opera mini is a smartphone browers and we are a forum for smartphones

I would assume you try it out first before making comments.
I have downloaded it serveral times. And the Mozilla site and FAQ hints at this being a ppc based browser.

i have tried it and is working purfect.... i wouldnt make a post with out a reason... and is very stable as well...
I have too on my dash with 6.1 and am not able to browse or use it. it loads up but i cannot navigate through the browser to select anything. hence why i bothered to ask questions
minimo "works" on Windows Mobile 5 and later devices, both pro and standard. the seemingly un-navigable interface can be operated with buttons, but I can never recall what does what and it always just starts doing weird things, after a lot of struggling.
After reinstalling it about 7 times it finally worked by using the soft buttons to navigate through. However, not stable at all to browse at least on my device.
It takes forever to load and closes when underload. Opera Mini FTW.
kept crashing.
It has promise on a ppc. It looks too much like a touch application. Opera Mobile works much better as a full web browser for the Dash at the moment and Mini for quick viewing.
seems like its causing my phone to crash because its a memory hogger by far.
Never got darn thing to load
After installing Minimo would always hang up. Pity as I love Firefox,(but I love Opera too) On puter I use Opera for all research ect in English and Firefox for Portuguese. My vote is with Opera Mini
Default registry settings after uninstalling Opera
I had no response on my first post. See my follow-up on default registry settings.

Hi,
Could someone post the registry settings for IE as the default browser? I installed Opera and selected "yes" to make it my default browser. After uninstalling Opera, IE does not work.
I'm looking for these settings. Here's the registry editor I'm using: http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx
Much appreciated!

Is Opera availeble for the htc s620???
Dave,
This thread will likely help.
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=168204
Cheers!
Never mind. I did a hard reset. See zip file for default registry settings and a text file noting Opera browser registry changes if you choose to use Opera as your default browser. Opera does not change the registry settings back when you uninstall the software.
The text file of reg changes came from a post on Opera's forum.

Opera mini as default browser
I love Opera mini as my main browser. Is there any way to make opera mini the default browser when a link is clicked in a email for example.

just do a google search for opera mini.
I cant find it in the menu settings for opera mini. Maybe the option you mentioned was for opera mobile. I was looking for the Java based Opera Mini version as this version translates the web pages into smaller packages to reduce the size of pages and also make browsing faster. Which brings me to another question. Is there a way to launch Java Programs instantly without always going through the Java Midlet application?

Yup, because I have just created that thead (the Smartphone General forum is brand new)
In the General forum, I've posted the original version some 5-6 months ago.
I enjoyed using Opera Mini for some pages that render bad with PIE. However, recently, I have been unable to load any pages with the T-Zones proxy. Anyone experiencing the same problems?
Opera Mini 4

Yeah, a must have on your device, the cursor reminds me of Microsoft's Deepfish and sphere!
I never got to try deepfish, when I got the link it wasn't working, but this is nice. Although I was on myspace trying to respond to a message and it just kind of stopped responding..but besides that it's great
Here is a link for anyone that cares to check it out:
http://www.operamini.com/
Personally speaking, Opera mini plays better than Deepfish. For example, I have never logged in this forum when I used Deepfish. On the other hand, Opera mini doen't have this problem.
Deepfish was 'alpha' -- Opera Mini is release -- not much room for comparison... Deepfish was great, in that you could view the whole page and zoom in on a particular area, I just installed Opera Mini 4, but it doesn't do that -- at least I can't find a setting to make it do that, just shows the page regular size...

Have you tried disabling the AT&T proxy? You can do it in opera:config. If that doesn't stick across resets, you may need to edit \Windows\Opera9\opera.ini instead.
Ok, ok.... I know there's a lot of these, but none of them really fit what I am asking, which is why I am asking here.
Long and short is this. I have Skyfire, Opera 9.5, and Opera 9.7b1. The TF3D Internet Tab defaults to Opera 9.5. Is there a way to change it to either Skyfire or Opera 9.7b1?
Thanks for the Help, and the understanding.

I'm not sure I seen it... I mean I seen a Registry Key that made it deafult, but from what I can gather, it's a general oveall default and not related to Touch Flow 3D v2.1. Nearly every browser, these days, has a option to make them default, and I can go that, easily... I am looking for a way to change it with in the TouchFlo inteface so that when I press teh Globe to get the Browser, it would be either Skyfire or Opera 9.7b1.
Unless I've missed something, which is possible, I don't think that is for me either. If I have missed something, I do apologize, please point me to the right post in that thread. Thanks.
I'm very interested to get this sorted too. Just downloaded skyfire;doesn't look as nice as opera, but who cares: it's waay faster
Who can help?
Again, another thread that is, as of yet, unresolved... Bump It up.

Changing the "Default Browser" is easy. All other programs will open the "Default Browser" no problem.
Changing which browser opens with the Manila "Launch Browser" tab is the question that has yet to be answered with a browser other than a newer version of Opera.
check out what I wrote at the end of the above mentioned thread....
I have an unlocked HTC Touch Pro2.
I tried the Opera Mobile 10 beta but didn't like it due to it's limited zoom function, so uninstalled and changed back to the pre-installed Opera 9.5. Previously, I was able to view all sites in its full desktop resolution but now I can only see certain particular websites in the mobile verison formatted view. I have ensured that "Mobile View" is unchecked in the settings.
The main site that seems to be causing this issue is www.4winmobile.com
Does anyone know how to correct this?
