Reversal of WM6 to WM5

hi all expert... i have been long time nv come to this forum due to the heavy work load.
appreciate very much on the donation and expertise on making WM6 possible on trinity.
i am a noob @ WM development, but hope somebody can asist on answering this question coz i found no thread regarding this.
anybody try reversing from wm6 to wm5 for trinity?
wat is the procedure to do this?

more than likely, finding the ROM you want and flashing your phone.
non of the ROMs here are "ugprades" and you can go from one version to another irrespective of their chronological release order.

This is not the Symbian nightmare.... you can always choose the os version that you like with no problem.-

I tried WM6 and loved it but had to flash back WM5 because of a Activesync 4.5 issue with my database software. I will continue to use WM5 until my DB software provider finishes his WM6 compatible update.
Just pick your WM5 version and flash. I had no issues.

Go with one of the Schaps Roms
Schaps has made great Roms for both 6.0 and now 6.1. His 6.1 is still a beta, I'm running it with no issues. Great Rom. You may want to hang on until he posts the final version of it (should be any day now, maybe over the weekend).
Just my two cents worth.
Installation instructions you'll find all over this forum. just search for it.

Hard to say which ROM is best as it depends on what software you want installed, reliability, performance etc
I have always been an admirer of Schaps, Pays, Black Satin to name a few
All this info can be found if you search these forums
Personally I am using Schaps 6.1 Beta, and looking forward to his full release which is due soon (been waiting now for a few weeks).

i have found Schaps 4.31 Lite is the best so far just straight up WM6 no 6.1

Thats exactly my point, each person has their own favourite, and this question has been asked 1000's of times in this forum

for spl use hardspl v7
radio is the newest and best for me 1.54.30.10
and rom is the coolest for me the newest one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381326

Windows 6.1 or 6.5 french for my hermes (Tytn) ?

I search and found a version french of schaps but version 6.0 rom 4.31
It works ok but slow.
and I so found a version french "goldenglobe" version 10 but bluetooth is not working ! I Think version from windows mobile 6.0 ? (to check-it).
It exist a french version 6.1 or 6.5 for hermes (tytn) ?

There is no other french rom 6.1 or above. only The TAI_Sw. and we are waiting for updates. so be patient.

For me, answer to this question depends on a couple of things.
1. How much do you need your phone to work without question?
2. Are you willing to give up some stability to be on the bleeding edge?
If the answer to #2 is YES!!!! Then 6.5 for sure....works pretty well...but appears to be some software compatibility issues that need to be resolved, IMHO. OS is still beta with no official release as of yet, so I figure no matter how well it is cooked (and Josh and TAI are doing GREAT work - props guys!) there is still going to be a few bugs to deal with, courtesy M$.
For me, the answer to #1 is my phone must be reliable, so after testing 6.5 over the weekend, I'm back to 6.1 for a while (courtesy CRC 13.3 - FYI).

Check the posts on that thread. It may very well have been fixed. Only way to find out is to read....

Asus A696 Upgrade to 6.1 or 6.5

Hey,
I tried to upgrade my Asus A696 to a new version but no luck (i'm not that good at this kind of stuff), so my question is if there's a way to upgrade it at least to WM 6.1, or 6.5 using a different ROM version or something like that.
I would appreciate if the following answers would be from people who tried this before.
PS: If there are links (here) where i can find steps to upgrade, i would be grateful if you point them out.

It will be soon, I have working version wm6.1 PLK (21109), but it's just my second build. I don't have this device, so I can't do it quickly.

It's not a mistake. For example WM6.5 on HP iPAQ hx2000 series runs much faster then WM6.1
I would suggest You to go for WM6.5

that's my opinion, I don't like chome, honeycomb, new big menus, manila and other kind of sh%t.
But if you like it, you can use it. I don't prohibit it

any news about it? I would like to install 6.1 or 6.5 also on my a696

Was amazed to find a ASUS P527 6.5 upgrade on here the other day, being able to upgrade the A696 would be awesome as well .

Thanks for your reply, I downloaded and took a look - but I've never done anything like this before, I don't know where to begin. The fact that anything I make with this would be Polish (?) - I'm out of my league. Maybe I'll see if I can figure out the P527 where they do have a World Wide English version already and see what can be done with that.
The P527 has a bunch of ways to upgrade through USB and microSD even if the main process fails - I have no idea if there is such a method for the A696 though. If a flash fails, that could be it... and that's a little bit daunting for a first timer...

you can make image backup first.
pdocread –v 0x0 0x3600000 nk.nb0
upgrade is simply, by usbloader.
1. Disable usb connections in async
2. plug usb cable to pda
3. reset pda with center dpad button pressed.
4. USB Download mode screen will appear
5. Click "Upload ROM!" in kitchen.

can anybody please create and upload the wwe version? It's just that I don't understand Polish so the PLK is completely useless to me (and I guess others)

I too would like a WWE version of a 6.1 or 6.5 ROM for the Asus 6x6 series devices... I would be willing to do some testing as well. I would also be willing to make a donation to whomever gets a 6.5 ROM working.

help finding official WM6.1 Rom for Spv M3100

Hi experts,
I need to get official Wm6.1 rom for my spv m3100 (Orange).
I tried to search forum and wiki, but failed to get some required result.
I would really appreciate if anyone can find my desired rom.
In fact I have'nt dumped my original wm5 rom and loaded HARDSPL 7 and then flashed with other hermes roms one by one.

Yeah there but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! be care..... dont dont flash a full original if your hermes is hardpsled... cause you will brick it.... i recomend you the stripped At&t, check the roms threads many of the chefs has a link to it.

Yes, I have HardSPL 7. But that's for preventing the Bricking.
Why original rom will brick a HardSPL installed phone?
