screen resolution - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Anyone know of a way to temporarily change the screen resolution to be 320 x 320...I have an application I use in my business that only supports up to 320 x 320.

have you tried using it under normal conditions? What are your results? I don't know of a way to do what you are saying. My thoughts are it would just be very small. Bad programing. Can you tell us more about the program?

Not sure what you mean by normal conditions...The program is to take applications for insurance and loans...the problem I am having is that my client has to be able to sign in a box on the application and nothing happens when you try to write in the sign box... the application worked fine on my Wing and works fine on the Touch Pro 1. I called my tech department and one of the guys I talked to stated that becuase the phone is 480 x 800 and the support where is for 320 x 320 is the reason the signatures are not working.

That worked as far as changing the screen resolution, however, it did not fix my problem. I can now go back to my tech department and tell them screen resolution is not the problem.
Thanks for the help guys.

I lied. Still looks bad when the phone is rining after placing a call in landscape mode.

I really dont mind it, you see the dialer like %3 of the overall time when using the tab
Just FYI, pixel density is not the same as dpi. A lower pixel density leads to an increase in dots per inch.

Sorry, I should've said "LCD Density". Decreasing that increases PPI and DPI - well, perceptually anyway, the LCD is still fixed at 1024x600. Given that the actual screen is 6.0" x 3.5" (7.0" diag) that means a native PPI/DPI of approx 170. I've no idea how LCD density relates to these values - can someone explain?
The wiki page nicely explains why I always feel like I can fit more "stuff" onto a Windows desktop than an OS X one though

Hoping to get this app working on my nexus 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I grabbed the newest version from the play store. I couldn't find a reliable source to DL it from outside that. So if the newest version is 1.3 then yes.
Edit-- just checked the play store again. It is indeed 1.3

Sorry for bringing up a month old thread, but along with the screen density possibly being a factor, maybe it force closes due to Snapchat starting the app using the rear camera, which bviously we don't have. Maybe there is a way we can tweak it to set the FFC as default and maybe that will stop it from force closing?

thats a great idea i tried the current 1.6 version and i always have the same force quit after i log in so its nothing to do with the density since the app starts up normaly until i log in.
Well we can try the screen density idea make everything larger so its like a phone, if that works maybe somehow we can extract the application and MOD it for a 7' screen by changing the supported resolutions or DPI.
But if doing any of that doesn't work then we are out of luck unless someone can really change the app.

I've pulled the app from my phone and installed it on here. It'll force close after you sign in but then if you open it and receive a snap you can see the menu with all your history and even view the snap but if you try to take a snap it force closes so it must be because it defaults to the ffc
Anyone got it working on N7?
Some one wanna try this version
snapchat1.6.apk
I would, but i shattered my screen last night and it's unusable... (Thank God for accidental damage insurance)
OK. Got may tab repaired... and it doesn't work...
I sent å request to snapchat team and got this mail back:
At this time, there is not a way to dowload older versions of Snapchat. Unfortunately, Snapchat is not compatible with your Nexus 7 device. However, we are always working on ways to improve Snapchat and plan on making it available to more devices in the near future. We appreciate all your support.
Thank you!

Dear,
yes i put the 480 dpi. It works fine into some apps but it's really not compatible with TW.
Some apps are fine, like i said, but some apps aren't good. For instance : in Facebook, the size of the text is good in 480dpi (so, it's smller) but the size of the pics are the same than stock dpi. So, you have a little text bug big images... Not good to see :s

Aw ok, i didn't understand the 1st time. Sorry !
I didn't try the camera's tweak. Every other thinks didn't fit right, so i prefered to return to stock dpi.
Have a nice day
Hi Guys,
If you still need it, Check out my Camera MOD. I created 2 versions, one for 540dpi and one for 480dpi. I offer these based on both the original app and the version modded by amk19.
If you require another dpi setting, let me know and I'll see if I can add thatone as well.
Cheers,
Bane.

Question how to change aspect ratio of phone

hello, i wanted to change my aspect ration to 4:3 to have a stretched resolution like pc on my whole phone
there is a app called easy dpi changer. It changes resolution, the only thing you get black bars (not stretched res).
is there any way to make it stretched instead of black bars?
here are some screenshot how it looks like after resolution is changed.
thanks
If you stretch 4:3 to fill the 20:9 screen you'll end up cutting off part of the display.. so I think it's not an option

I know it, but thanks for the tip anyway.
It needs root and I'm actually unrooted.
Other apps just works with adb, like P ixels:Resolution+DPI changer, in playstore.
(#com.tribalfs.pixels) if searched outside.
I think it also has more option than the one you mentioned.
