Hi I am trying to change the default Windows start icon to display the HTC one. I have tried various .cab installers but none seem to work. I have also installed programs such as sdkcaerts.cab but it still does nothing. I am using HTC TyTN II on WM 6.1.

Hi, I have Black 2.5 WM6, I can't seem to get the "RUNNING PROGRAMS" shortcut on the today screen like I had on WM5. Any ideas??
Two things I can think of...
Try searching for softkeys changer - there's a cab file you can install that will put an icon in your control panel allowing you to put "Running Programs" as a softkey on the today screen.
Alternatively, search for O2 Plus 2.3 - this gives you a today item with you runrning programs in it

Personally, I would use O2 Plus as you can also add a tiny drop down menu to the today screen (where the X button would be) that allows you to see what's running and either switch to it or close it (or all).
There's loads of different options you could try though - PocketPlus, Wisbar, Battery Pack Pro to name a few, but, hey, we like free

How do i change the position of htc home app in the today list. I run spb shell and want that at the top. I am running BB4.1 Lite and it wont budge, same with full and meschle's roms.
I could do it in BB4.0
Look for the HTC home customiser tool, think it's in the cab's thread on this board.
That has an option to allow you to unlock its position, never used the option but guess that's so you can move it around on the today screen.

any idea why I cannot customize settings for HTC home plugin? I don't have this option anywhere (on today's settings or programs). I installed emunut's 'HTC Home Customizer' I found here but this customizes 'other' things not found on 'original' customizer. I want to customize profiles, speed dial and other stuff that I can probably find on this 'original' tool.
I tried also some other HTC Home plugins, but also no options for customizing.
I have Blueangel with helmi's WM6 (working great) and Helmi_HtcHome6_WM5_comp_sdkcert.cab installed.

I use that too, the most simple way to solve this is when u install SPB Shell, it will set itself below the HTC home, just go to settings>today>items, then unmark the spb mobile shell klik ok then do the same thing but then u mark it again and then it will be on top of the htc home..
I just installed WM6 on my P3300 (WM6 version from HTC website). When I changed my theme to "windows default" from "HTC default" it changes the today theme colors, etc. The problem is things like the dial pad, comm manager, etc stayed in the HTC default colors.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I went through my windows directory and it seems that I am missing the files. Does anyone have the "windows default" theme files for WM6 that they could upload?

i recently downgraded, yes DOWNGRADED from wm 6.1 to wm6.5, to experiment and seem to get rid the weather from the home tab (takes up memory). im ok with the weather tab, but its anoying when its in my home tab. I cant seem to find a registry to remove it, plz someone help?
Do search for this cab: (can't remember which has option to remove and/or reallign tabs).

Can you please help me? I have been messing around with my TP2 by adding & removing Max Manila 2.6, various tweaking s/w, games and also editting the registry using CERegedit.
It is absolutely fine apart from 1 major problem - when I use the HTC Sense plugin rather than the Windows default, all the tabs are fine.
The only problem is with the "Programs Tab" - the symptoms are:
1) very blurred icons, 2) inability to add/remove/change programs, 3) HTC Sense freezes and cannot come out of the Programs Tab if I try adding/removing programs (so I have to soft-reset it), 4) when the soft icons on the tab work - it is very slow in starting the program and goes via the Start Menu (flicks between screens)
I have the original HTC branded TP2 with no operator customisations. It has the HTC official WM6.5 ROM with Manila 2.1.
Any expert advise/suggestions on how to just fix this issue will be really helpful - Registry settings, replace corrupt files/shortcuts, etc. Anything short of a hard reset/factory settings restore!

Did you backup your settings before tweaking manila. There is such an option in TTMax.
Take a look in the TTMax directory, there is a backup folder.
