i was wondering today - why it isn't possible for the htc tp2 with a 3G connection to have a voice call and a data transmission simultanouesly?
this was no problem for the nokia n95 8gb with the same sim card in it?
is this a configuration thing or is this a "missing feature" on wm devices?
AFAIK, you have to be in an HSDPA (3.5G) area to allow simultaneous voice and data connection. Just 3G will not suffice.
You should be able to do it. Even with only 2G you can have both simultaneously (obviously slower but still).

not 2G, class for GPRS and EDGE will only support suspend feature. 3G is your answer, but it depends on both the device and BTS's device.
My Tp2 should be here in about a week.
I have not used edge on my MDA. So I ask this question:
Is it an easy affair to enable the "Suspend" feature on the phone? I don't want to miss calls cause I am streaming music while I drive...

normal plain jane 3G can do voice and data. (atleast in the US)
CDMA cannot under any circumstances.

simultanouesly? ... so you have made a call and during this call used a data connection (for example opera browser surfing a website?) ...

Works fine here on T-mobile. Simultaneous connections on 3G. One or the other on EDGE. If you stream data on EDGE, voice calls get priority and will suspend the data connection.
Can't seem to connect to the web (Opera) while on a phone call (voicemail). This happens while the phone is on T-Mobile US 3G.
So, I keep my wifi on mostly at all times. But I've found that when I leave my home, and get outside my wifi range, instead of naturally switching back to 3G (I usually have 4G disabled for battery purposes, unless I need speed), my 3G and bars icon will be all greyed out, and I will have no incoming data. I otherwise have a great signal here in Boston. Sometimes it will eventually start working, but other times I will need to reboot in order to have a working data connection.
Is this an issue anyone else has? It seems the transition from wifi to mobile data is glitchy?

I have a problem with my hox. It doesn't roam between my WiFi AP's. Even if the signal to ap1 is very weak and I'm standing next to ap2 it doesn't roam. Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

I have strange problem with WIFI quality while LTE connection is active.
Once I disable 4G it goes back to normal.
Anyone noticed this ?

Nexus 5x, running stock. WiFi calling is on and setup, but every time I am in a weak signal area with good wifi, I am getting an error/message "register with carrier in order to use wifi calling".
Any idea why and how to fix this?
