Friends,
WM6.1 ROM (build 21.051) (Perhaps the last WM6.1 Build) is finally out for testing. This is my first public release for Diamond devices, though I had been cooking for my own use for my own device.
I had been making many Himalaya ROMs and Polaris ROMs (see my signature) and thousands of users appriciated my efforts. I am sure you all shall like it.
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- There is readme.txt inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
- There is folder "UC_Folder" which has a folder "ExtROM" and "sdconfig.txt"
Copy them to \Internal Storage
Installation:
Install HARD SPL
Connect the device using activeSync 4.5
Run DiamonCustomRUU.exe and good luck.
You can also copy the DIAMIMG.nbh to \Internal Storage and press [VolDn+Backarrow+reset] hard buttons
for flashing this ROM. This method is faster and safer.

solved i downloaded some damned walls for some asus pda and i se tit for wallpaper and then it simply dissapears...

I have Radio 1.13.25.24 on my device and it works very well. KIndly see the snapshot above..
I suggest you download the ROM again and use that. There were minor glitches (not bugs) in that which are set right.

4 icons in a row ? How to roll back to 3 icon ?
downloaded your rom many thanks but i have a question what kitchen should i use i'm using lobster daves newest seems to be working then get an error message problem with rebuilder.exe many thanks again really looking fwd to trying this out and your giving all our new chefletts a leg up .
Found 3 bugs:
1. Con not turn off phone by press and holding the power button
2. Manual backlight adjustment is not working
3. Some Programs not shown in Manila Tab Programs (Only with a blank icon)

what is the difference / improvement / additional feature compare to AKU3.3 from Helmi?
btw, i just finished reinstalling all my applications on Helmi's AKU3.3, can I upgrade to AKU3.5 and restore the apps, data, etc. from my backup based on AKU3.3? it just takes so much time to reinstall all apps from the scratch

Hi folks,
After flash it on mu Unversal I start to test that I care about:
1. Speed is more than this one AKU3.3
2. Avaliable memory after flashing 30MB (this is with SD card inserted)
3. No memory leaks for now even when my Garmin Mobile XT working
See tomorow what will be the diference
Actualy I think that is the best one for now

Really, I cannot see the big difference from the previous 3.3.
Only the addition of the Windows Live..
as of now no issues found yet (based on my old software from my extended ROM).

-When installing Resco Explorer, the OK button is still missing.
-No PDF reader is included, I use PocketXpdf.
-Start/Settings/connections/Beam is standard On, for power reasons it should be better of.
-Can't change the start page of IE, returns back to default page everytime.
-Also I like your Crossbow dialer skin, why you didn't included it?

It's a great and fast Rom.
AKU3.3 was a great ROM - no real problems.
I am looking forward to trying this one but I got the country code error.
Please can someone help - I ran the program (in the country code error folder) but not alot happened???
Up until today I had no problem installing AKU3.3 but now I can't ever re-install this one.
I am sure that this have been covered before but I would really appreciate some help.

UC 2.0 Compliancy
After flashing the ROM the device will boot up and do some final install steps followed by a reset.
Before that reset you can add your own personal settings or install cab's that you want to be automatically installed after a hard reset.
To use this feature you need to create this text file to the root of you the Internal Storage:
\<Internal Storage>\sdconfig.txt
IMPORTANT: While of the first boot the name of the "Internal Storage" will be just "Storage" for all languages, which will make things easier

Is the Surface 6.1.1.16 NLD Rom fully based on the HTC NLD_1.37.404.3
The Bram Surface 6.1.1.15 NLD version had many older versions of HTC programs then in the NLD_1.37.404.3 ROM . Also Opera was an older version.

I've had this for a while now but have been super lackadaisical so i'm releasing it now.
Requirements: You should be familiar with cooking and should have read the wiki several times to get an idea how to do this. It's fairly straight-forward to cook, however modifying, adding, deleting, and creating stuff could be a challange. The steps are as follows:
-buildos+package_tools-4.2b3
-Go to the buildos tab
-Choose load ROM on top left
-Tick the programs that you want (i have provided hundreds of OEMs and if you want more, just create them using the CAB2OEM program i have included) and press Go.
-Popup will come up, choose the second option [Create_ROM_for_Hermes](edit the dump before you press Ok)
-ROM is now cooking
-NBH Tool comes up. Go to the second tab, NB to NBH.
-Under OS, press the ... and go to Tools>Htools>OS-new.nb>generate NBH file.
-Once the ROM is done cooking, pagepool patcher will come up. Choose the pagepool you want and exit it
-You can use PoolPage changer to change the pagepool
-Navigate to the directory you put the ROM and flash
-Enjoy!

Yes, the HTC one has quite some more stuff in it (Adobe, Java, HHC, etc.)
They are indeed SDHC ready (my 8gb Sandisk works perfectly).

They are all based off the 20924 build.

What is the name of the cab? I see the htc dialer, but it looks like the standard "touch" dialer.

Dare I ask if Custel's Cingular video cab works?
Only Starbase64 and PhamQuang have got it working on M2D. JoshKoss roms don't like CV.
Regardless, I've been flashing like crazy the past MONTH. I will try out the M2D and report back.

Custel's Cingular Video cab won't launch from programs or windows directory
I love the rom so far but being an AT&T user, I use the cingular video quite frequently for video news. Can anyone help me get HTC youtube app running on CRC's ROM? It installs and loads the thumbnails for videos but can't play video files. I've read that I have to use certain files from the Manila v20 thread to get it running properly.
My observation
As of now I am using a lite version
... very fast ROM
at first boot network wizard wants to start right away
A pumpkin as a startup is not that bad but unseasonal ( christmas is coming);0
Initial findings
1. No problem connectiong to activesync ( so no need to worry about that one flashers!!!)
2. lovely Icons real nice it does compliment to the pumpkin ( slimy green for charging and speakers)
3. there was An interchange in WM5storage and wktask ( wm5storage is located in settings>> connections and wktask is located in programs) noticed that wm5storage has a problem n my device
just tried the bluetooth
it is beam is not readily activated so you have to activate this first( wish there was a moblue for easier transfer for bluetooth)

then have to go to bluetooth had to check Turn on bluetooth and make the device visible to other devices... too tedious so
transfer works when I used moblue
so if the blutooth works I am just speculating that IR will work also for the WI-FI no access here
will hard reset again maybe I have to hard reset it again to clear my past ROM
as for others I havent tested it yet....

I searched a lot but seriously found no difference between 23009 and 23017.
Probably 23017 is more stable.
But no problem I have made a ROM for that too. Will post it soon
This looks a very nice rom, basically what I have tried to create, but will give yours a go, in my opinion, on our diamonds the less weighty the Rom the better.
Would be interested in battery life between 23009 and 23017.

Nice work. Since we own a device with only 128mb of RAM, we do have to considerate making WM6.5 ROM that consumes less ram as possible. I am waiting for the final version, but I think I'm gonna try this one.
Is there known bugs?

Possibly better battery life. But i'll tell you one thing.
I have used EnergyROM,BsB,etc; and over night without using the cell, battery drains down to 94-95%.
But for this ROM it remained 100%.
(Of course the other ROMs have other excellent features in them and thats why the battery drains out.)
But as of now 23009 is giving me decent battery life.

Sorry bro but it is not possible to put that dialer in this ROM.
It needs to be put during creation of the ROM.

RAM is always the problem with wm6.5.
Anyways, this is pretty much the final version.
I made 6 versions. Didn't release any of those because of bugs.
So this is the 7th version with no bugs as of now.
If you come across any please let me know.

I've built this to get a ROM that fits me PERFECT!
And it soon does I'm a perfectionist if so to speak.
It has been tried for a couple of days and during these days
I've rebuilt it MANY MANY times, just to see if I've been able to
fix a few things here and there. So it's not going to work EXACTLY
as it should. There could be some minor things I haven't noticed.
Automatic restoration of contacts etc. etc. is made by making an
PCPimBackup and place it as followed: \Internal Storage\[Backup]\auto.pib
Or you can use the default of XDA UC. Place all your .pib's in
\Internal Storage\XDA_UC to get them ALL restored.
Hopefully this will be appreciated by some of you
And please report every bug you find and I'll try to fix them to get a more stable release

How to Cook
There will be an .erv for both the Titanium and the Manila version.
And then you should be able to add the packages you want

The file is being updated at the moment. Build time: 11.31PM yesterday So please redownload and flash the new one Not many fixes, but changed the cook.mscr to skip the dual welcome.exe that was :O and also tweaked the installation of the swedish keyboard layout.

Oh, a new build will come, eventually, when I'm finished with the theme. Just having a few problems with it So any ideas about some good info? Already tried this: How to Create or Edit a Theme(.tsk) for Windows Mobile Phone OS but I'm about to edit each and every picture that is in the classic blue theme. Should I just replace them in the sys\23529\dpi_192\base_dpi_192 folder or should I put them in the sys\23529\dpi_192\themes_dpi_192? I want it to be set as standard theme :O

'Arkswitch' closes automatically when it's minimized, I figured that when was running on another rom! Try testing it by bringing 'Arkswitch' to focus then press the Home button then go to the 'task manager' in the 'settings' page (if existed) and check for it, you won't find it!

I've set that if I tap & hold the startmenu it will bring ArkSwitch up, and it does if I push the homebutton in ArkSwitch, but if I tap the [X] it doesn't =/ Gets an error in that case =/
