Hey do you know if there is another way to lower or upper the volume cause the bottom at the top doesnt work and i have a problem in calls i cant hear anything! you can see the bottom in the attachment picture! Im using the last crc rom and manila 2d.
Please someone help any other way to lower or upper the volume ! please!
Sorry 4 my bad english
My only guess would be to try reinstalling Opal Volume control and see if this fixes it. Do a search for opal volume control and download the cab.
If that is not what you are talking about, then I dont understand.
Here, I found it for you: Opal Volume Control

Hope this works for you.

The jog wheel should change the in call volume, just scroll upwards when in a call.

Does anyone know how I can toggle with the endkey between the profiles 'silent mode' and ringer?
With the endkey is it possible to toggle betwwen vibrate and ringer, but I would like it to switch between silent and ringer.
Any register tweaks?
Here's a tip that may suit your purposes.
Press any of the two volume keys once to bring up the volume control. Let's assume your current volume is at 10 bars. If you tab "Silent" it will obviously go into the Silent profile. If you tab "Silent" again, the volume will be restored back to 10 bars.

try this:
settings --> personal --> buttons --> end key
can set it so holding down the end key toggles between vibrate and ringer. bingo
that is not what he wanted at all...the best bet to do this would be to use mortscript and write a script to do so and then map that script to a key using this program:

it may be a different way of going about things but Peter1706 asked how he could "toggle with the endkey between the profiles 'silent mode' and ringer". I presented a way of doing this.
all i was saying is that he wants to toggle between silent and ringer, not vibrate and ringer...going through the settings way will only get vibrate and ringer

I've tried this already, but I'm a little confused: when I set my endkey with a longpress to emulate a key press of the volume rocker (so that I have the window so I can choice between volume, silent and vibrate) , the original short press (Home) doesn't work anymore. Maybe I do something wrong?
But the thing a want most is just with a long press of the endkey to toggle between silent and ringer.
Maybe it's possible to adjust the vibrate mode? So I can put it in settings to toggle between ringer and vibrate and adjust the vibratemode to a somekind of silent mode? (set it to no vibrations)

I've read the thread about MobileMUte, but it's seem to be written for to mute a phonecall?
MVTogglesound sounds very promising, but I have to to subribe to this site in order to download the program. The problem is; the site is in Russian and I don't know how to subscribe?

tnx for all your help. I've tried this rightaway, but it doesn't seem to work? I've followed your instructions, but it still toggles between ringer and vibrate instead of between ringer and silent?

k...i forgot to ask that question before i started making this...im taking it that this is a gsm device so try this one out and see what happens...uninstall only the other silent_ringer switcher.cab (leave the sdkcerts.cab installed) and then after it resets, install the this one and then reset again...hopefully this should work for ya...
I use the Keyboard Config tool with Vibraswitch for my PTT button, works like a charm.
Hi, first excuse me if i make some spelling mistakes i'm french
So I just want to know if there's an app wich allow you to take a photo by pressing the up or down volume button. It would be a very easier way to take photos.
Thank you !
Search for AEButton Plus and remap one of the volume buttons to the camera-function.
Works fine here
can you give an extra help with that?
All i could do is to make the volume button to open the camera.
How to take a picture with the volume button??
thanks
Oh, you actually want to use the button to take the picture. Well I don't know
It's not possible... I was trying hard to find out in past but the only thing I was able to do was mapping stylus-out event to press enter action using MobileMagic, but it worked only for taking exactly one photo, then it just stopped working and never worked again (probably until next hard reset )
help....please tell me how to take photos with volume button....?
It is not possible, the volume buttons are disabled when the camera app is running. Open the camera and press the volume buttons - does it change volume? No, it doesn't.

Nice idea! After hiding the navbar, I quickly realized how much I could use something like this! I'll have to try this out when I get a chance.
Only downside I see is that since we're changing the key layout file, even when the navbar is shown, the volume buttons would still act as home/back. Would be nice for the ROM chefs to have some sort of 'live toggle' so that it would switch to home/back when the navbar is hidden, and then back to default (actual volume) when the navbar is shown.
Cheers and thanks m8!
Op, pm sent.
That's a nice idea but how do you change the volume? You will have to install some kind widget.
Also this increase wear on your buttons, that's how I killed my previous phone.
there's a toggle in AOKP to hide and bring back the toggles, although this would be more convenient it seems like it would be a hassle to change those buttons whenever you needed your volume back
Thanks for the idea just FYI on 4.0.2 GSM the layout file is:
ROOT - SYSTEM - USR - KEYLAYOUT - Generic.kl but it worked just the same. It was item 114 and 115.
Working great so far. Also I put a volume widget on my home screen so that takes care of that.
There's a flashable zip for this on rootz, been using it for several days. I just long press my ringer toggle for volume adjustment.
what i wanna see is this:
tap the power button to show/hide nav bar
double tap to lock screen
hold down to power off
boom.

My bad .dup post
or you could just shrink the nav bar down to 30dp!
still works well and its almost like its not there!
Pretty cool. Thanks. Works like a charm.
Even long presses on the volume replicates the same behaviour as I configured on the Nova launcher :
- Long press on the Home (vol up) key: shows recents apps
- Long press on the Back (vol down) key: kills app

I would lime the volume up to be home and volume down be back...but long presses be normal function......how do I do this?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Doesn't seem to do anything on AOKP 27. The default says WAKE and when I change it and then reboot the volume buttons still handles the volume.
how?
Teach me, please

I think people here are misunderstand the statement. "I just long press my ringer toggle for volume adjustment." He used the built in toggles(slient or vibrate) in the rom to get the the volume screen and make volume adjustments. The long press of the physical volume key is not adjusting the volume once the mod is made.

+1 I agree with this idea
Hi,
I think that the volume is too coarse for the music player. The hacks for increased volume with gravity box do not work with the m8. It visually looks like it works, but it actually does not change the volume to increase in finer increments. Neither does the volume step mod for the htc one m7 from last year work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Exactly!

This is exactly what I get with my M7. Adding the extra increments in Gravity Box doesn't change the actual volume, just means I have to press twice to move one (large) increment.
