i got my touch flashed to metropcs and everything is setup mms/sms, gps, internet, but all music i try to stream gives me a error. Will i be able to stream music on any player? I tried Tcpmp, Coreplayer and 1 or 2 others with the same outcome.
Yes.
There are at least a couple ways - First, try going to tuned.mobi and streaming from there(by default MPM should open), I am able to stream from sites in both the US and the UK with no problem. Second, give Kinoma Player a shot, part of that program has a radio search and stream function and you can save your radio stations for one-click play - it works VERY well...and, when I downgraded from winmo 6.5 to my own 6.1 rom (I made it using PPC Kitchen with Metro PCS splash screen and all) I was finally able to use the Pandora app in areas where I have good coverage.

Its nice when they DO WORK!
I was called to a freinds house to fix his P.C., "NTLDR is compressed" he had no other machine online to look up the problem , I used my XDA to surf up the Net VIA the neighbors WIFI connection solved his problem by searching Google, then streamed a Radio Station from www.radiofeeds.co.uk/pda using Windows Media Player 10, I managed to stream a 32kbps 22khz Mono MP3 Stream, has anyone beat this bitrate??
POCKET MUSIC : Whats the highest bitrate you've managed to stream with this software? I havn't been able yet.
Has anyone ever run into the problem of typing in a url in windows media player for a radio station, and it saying "locating" "connecting" and then "playing" but no sound. I can play audio files that are stored on my device, but not ones I am trying to get from a stream .asx like this page "http://www.woxy.com/stream/wma20.asx Am I doing something wrong?
My info:
siemens sx66
rom: 1.42
ext:1.42.126b1 (Fr:sx66 cust. page)
radio:1.13
I have tried it with the factory rom & ext. and radio also. no luck.
I own an internet radio station: www.rockaces.com
all is ok,but there is no way i can listen to my own station using the HTC TOUCH HD.
Is there a plug in that i can install so i can listen to it?
(well,me and anybody else who would like to listen to my music using his mobile)
Thanks!
This seems a little bit like an attempt to promote/advertize your internet radio stations; however, to answer your question, this is what I use
First I find the internet radio stations that interest me and load them into winamp on my desktop computer
then I save the playlist for that specific radio station and name it accordingly
then I transfer the playlist to my mobile device into a folder I named "Internet radio stations"
then I load the internet radio station into one of my media players capable of playing streaming media
I use TCPMP as this streams the best for me; however, WMP works also and I am sure there may be others out there.
I even created shortcust to my favorite internet radio stations in my Ultimate Launch Setup - I have a dedicated page for Internet radio - Sirius radio and audio/video players I use
Hope this helps

NO ADVERT
This is not an advertisment!!!
It is a simple question!
I dont need this kind of advertisment anyway!
My site is just my hobby!
If it is possible, enter my site (with your htc touch hd),and try to listen to the on line radio, the way you would do it if you were using your home pc ot laptop.
If you can listen to it,please let me know how you did it.If you cannot listen and you get the message 'invalid....' and you have a solution, please let me know.
www.rockaces.com
That is all i am asking!
For some reason, I cannot open the website on my desktop. Just keeps trying and trying and trying but nothing
I use gs player - free cab can be found here
Never had a problem with it and I listen to a small radio station in Ibiza.
Also just checked out your station and i got it.
Open gs player, then go to file/open url and type 78.129.196.104:8074 and its all OK and working.
Might not be the easiest way but it works for me.

This method worked for me - Clicking on the Winamp link on your website allows you to save the playlist to your desktop. I then saved the playlist for your radio station to my device and opened it with TCPMP and it worked fine for my device this way.
Thanks a lot!
Now i can refresh my site with the information!

Thanks for the info, however I am still unable to use these websites to play radio on my TP2. Also which software can I use to play .pls file.
I don't think this is a Note II question directly, but the Note II is what I have experience with, so I'll ask here.
I went to Best Buy to try out bluetooth pairing my phone with the car stereos. Aside from the pain of trying to get some of them connected, in the end I was able to see song metadata using the stock music player, but not spotify. I searched the web and it appears spotify doesn't have AVRCP 1.3 (yet?) which is supposedly the reason for this.
Then I decided to make a more prepared trip: besides the former two apps, I additionally loaded Pandora, Slacker Radio, Last.FM, MOG, and iHeartRadio. I went back to Best Buy and found while for the most part I could get any of them to play/stop/fwd/rev, none of them showed the metadata. One exception is I was able to get one ($500) stereo to do Pandora (including album art), although then I could never get it out of Pandora mode (I didn't spend too long at that, I was tired of testing by that point).
So my questions are:
1. There seem to be three versions of AVRCP: 1.0, 1.3, 1.4 but I can't find which the Note II has. I'm guessing it's at least 1.3 because the stock player was able to pass metadata. Anyone know?
2. Is it really true that basically every app is missing support for passing metadata? Or is this related to the specific Note II ROM or the stereo firmware?

If you use Spotify or Pandora, there are modified apps that support metadata.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081475 is one for spotify.
