wow i cant bileave i cant remember

k i really cant bileave that i cant remember this, but how do you make it so that the phone doesnt lock on wakeup? like when you press the power button and u have to unlock. my minds been drawing a complete blank for the past week. thanks in advance

if I am not wrong, just go to: start - setting - on personal tab, click on "Lock" icon and deselect on box "prompt for unlock if the device...

can a WHOLE NEW thread be created

Sounds like you have a 3rd party app like A_C's S2U2 possibly? I don't remember any standard ROM doing what you're describing. Maybe a screen capture so we can see what you're seeing?

How to get these.....

Alright I have loaded ROM's onto my phone but I am still pretty new to this, I am wondering if anyone can take the time to walk me through of how to get Home Screen's like these (the first one and the red one on PG1)

The big clock is called HTC Home and that's fairly easy to find, just make a simple search for it. The tray on the bottom looks like PHM Trays which you can get from PHM Tools.

Did you bother reading the thread or are you the type to look at pics and ask for help, right off the bat?

Actually I did take the time to read a lot of the post's but as I said in my first post I am pretty new to this stuff and a lot of the talk was quite confusing to me because of the short form's and such so program's and stuff like that.
Like I said before, I am just looking to see if some one has the time to help me, not looking for people to chirp about how new I am and such. Thank you.

Alright so I have read the first like 11 pages and no where in there have I found how to get those 2 Home Screen's running on my Dash?
Please help

As for the Red Carousel theme....go here.
Download the needed cabs in the bottom of his first post and read his install instructions.
As for the HTC home, if you READ where to get it from its in his first thread also...

Download that cab.
Once you've downloaded the cabs...you transfer them to your phone using Active sync. Place them in your documents folder. Using your phone Resco Explorer program direct yourself to the My Documents folder and click on the cabs to install them.
If asked where to install them, pick Main memory (phone itself) not the memory card.
DO NOT UNZIP or UNRAR the CAB files.
After the cabs are installed. REBOOT.
Once rebooted, Click on start->settings->Home Screen->Home screen layout
Once there, choose which home screen...you'd like to have.
Done

Thank you for the help, I have one question though, I downloaded the courosel theme and unzipped it to a folder and then I copied to my from through My Computer (I'm not sure if that matter's?) but when I selected the Courosel theme in Home Screen, the text messages and voicemail stuff look's all messed up? Is that because I unzipped the file?
Another question came up....
I dled the LCD clock and unzipped it, copied the folder to my phone and then went to Resco Explorer and clicked the Setup.xml and it did a bunch of stuff, I thought it installed but then when I rebooted my phone nothing happened?

Alright thank you very much, I didn't realize that that was a cab file since I have never worked with a cab before.
I installed the cab. and got a message saying that I may need an older version of WM?
I then rebooted and the LCD clock was not there?

I couldnt edit again so I has to do another post, the problem I was having was just that I didn't go to the background image and change it to courosol.

No matter how big or what colors we use people seriously have selective reading. lol

actually I read that a few times but I was not sure what a cab file was.
Funny how much you care about the mistakes I made instead of helping haha.

alright I have one more question and I thought I would post it here instead of opening another thread. When I am using txt messaging and I sent a txt (I will use this as an example) at 8:01 PM and some one sends me a txt back in the same minute it will say that they replyed at 7:01 PM. It always says one hour earlier for replys? I have searched through options but I cannot seem to find where to change it?

Are you sure your time is right? Go to settings --clock & alarm-- and scroll to where on earth you are. Do a reset try that.

I checked the times man and NOTHING! this is kind of brutal, it's not like it's a huge problem but it's just ******* frustrating, any ideas guys?

.CAB help, splicing themes

Hi guys,
I seem to be having some problems. I previously sliced roloracer's colored topbar theme with the new delicacy theme to acquire some great effects. but now i need it in .cab form for others who want to colored topbar. i have all the files and my .xml in a zip file. if anyone wants to take a look at it and compile the cab and tell me what the heck i did wrong it would be greatly appreciated. shoot me a pm or post if you want me to send you the file for you to look at. it's always somethings small.. and i'm sure i'm missing it. proofreaders make the world go round.

well you know... i spent all day at the state fair and then doing homework and by the time it came to photoshop time my eyes where getting tired.. so i saved the hard work and went to the coding... but apparently that requires mental powers that aren't there.. i swear i need to mute my email notification. every time i go to sleep i get a message from xda with a reply waking me up again. if you give me pixel sizes i think i'll create some amazing topbar images. all you have to do is make the cab.. since thats the part i seem to fail at.

the icons have to be 20x20 pixels.

i have quickcab and all it does it start up and crash everytime i try to open something. i had it working on my other computer so im kinda at a lose there

i was looking at getting it. i need to pay bills and get school squared away and see what type of funds i have left over for it

I can develop apps, but as a general rule of thumb, simply saying you need a dev is not going to get you many responses...
Please, be specific as to what you want done so that you can get Dev's that can actually do what you want!

It sounds to me like he's trying to develop an app and has some problems, so I'd imagine he does know what he wants. Sounds like he just doesn't want someone pinching his idea.

ya just dont want knowbody to take my idea and use it for themselve and ya i know what i doing and what i want all have is 3 problems with my app/theme and just want someone to help me fix them like he is trying to do or anyone else

We cannot help you without any information though. You have to give us something or you're on your own mate. There's plenty of people that will help, but with nothing to go on we can't.

ok the things i need help with is 3 bugs that i have and cabfile problem i have with my app/theme.The bugs that i have is that the battery icon i made for my phone only works in the startmenu but the homescreen and one the battery icon doesn't do nothing all it does is when you are charging the battery it will just flashback back infourth but nothing is wrong with that it suppose to do that to tell that it is charging is just that the homescreen one battery icon not draining its just staying the same at full but when you go to start menu it works fine why is it doing this can someone fix this and for the next problem is that i cant seem to put the files into one cab file in install to myphone you always have to seperate them or in differentway u have to install them one by one just dont like doing that plus when people use this i dont want them to have to go look for them and constantly telling me where the cab files are at and the next problem i want to improve the htc theme texture to make is look more 3d and improve the clock to alittle more but not letting me or im not doing somthing right to change the codes to let me plz help.IF you want to take a look at the files you can follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654166 THe files you should look for is these files HTC Diamond Home.cab,Standard HTCHome Edition.cab ,WindowHtc AnimatedCharge text.cab,wm6battery_solid_qvga.cab,Winjack Project! From reading that, you need someone who's a theme modder. I'm an app developer, so I can't help mate.

Removing Diagnal Lines From dialer (Stock)

Hi , i was hoping one someone would look at this and be able to point me in the right direction, i would like to know how to remove the diagnal lines from the dialer so it looks like this :-

the black background is not a issue as its a png however the diagnal lines i dont have a clue on

The diagonal lines are also a drawable PNG under dial_background_texture or something along those lines I think

Are you wanting to do it yourself or just want the mod as there is one in this section somewhere. I think it's by gsxr500 (? May have that name slightly wrong ?). I'd PM him and see how he did it.

Okeydoke ill have a another look over the pngs its defintly possible i may have missed it , becouse of this i thought it may be summit do with xml.

I want to do it myself as the dialer he modded t9 does not work with the rom im useing. Ive tryed asking on his thread but no reply unfortuntly. Thanks for taking time to reply

thanks again evilkal searched dial_background_texture within contacts and found it, the png was so small that im not suprised missed it
