Very slow auto rotation when using Touch_X_X_TR.cab - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi,
I use Touch_X_X_TREME_10_BG_ALL_TABS.cab to set wallpaper for all tabs in my TP2. It works great but after using it the auto rotation ( when pushing the hardware keyboard out) is very slow.
I should wait more than 5 sec to see the landscape.
I like to know is it possible to solve this problem or is there any other solution to change the all tab background with out this problem.
Also, is it possible to set different background for each tab in TP2?
Thanks.

Opera Problem when rotating

Hi
i use your 1.17 version and i got some problem with Opera in lanscape mode when i rotate my phone.
I sometimes encountered a problem that when i rotated the phone while browsing web the opera browser rotated but then disappeared and back to the home screen. If i restart the phone the opera browser continued to work well
The same problem for GSen when i rotate the phone the screen change to lanscape mode but then disappear and back to the home screen. Is there any other program with the same features like Gsen but work well on your Rom ? Thank you very much.
You can try Gyrator2,
=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436535
Flip it
=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429682 (end of topic)
or Changescreen (i prefer this one)
=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468488
All apps tested and work fine on Touch HD
normally u can rotate your opera browser without another software right ?
What i want to know for the first question is the problem is from opera itself or from the room
I'll try your recommend software. What room do u use now
I'm using french original rom.
Opera must be in exclusion list of Gsen, gyrator2,... because he don't need additional app to rotate...perhaps you only need to exclude opera from gsen configuration ?
actually thing happened before i install gsen on my Touch HD and now when i install gsen it continued to happen and the same result for other app when i rotate my phone
Are you using pzucchel rom???
If yes, there's an update (v1.18), perhaps that solve your problem
i'm asking him if i still get the same problem maybe i will change to the original rom like u

I also had this problem.
It seems to have something to do with sdkcerts.cab or after installing a different icon in windows top bar.
Could also have something to do with GSen or Gyrator, but after uninstalling them the problem persisted.
I flashed to a different ROM, problem is now gone.
Which room are u using now ??
same problem here
I'm having the exact same problem. It has to do with sdkcert.cab and the new task bar with colored icons.
Don't know how to fix it yet.
Any ideas?
Same problem
I have the same problem.
Will change the color bar and update you.

{REQ} Landscape Texting

Hello im looking for something that will allow me to always enter next via landscape - i have tried changescreen but that didnt really work that well, it took ages for it to turn the screen on its side and would always change my lifestyle screen on its side despite telling the app that i wanted it always upright. im just looking for something that will allow me to enter text using the screen on its side - got any ideas?

Sounds like you didn't quite have changeScreen configured correctly, as it should work fine. Did you turn up the sensitivity all the way? Manila always in portrait? If it's giving you alot of trouble, you can always try gyrator (or GSen).
Try Flip it and make sure you have the 270 degree box ticked then you can enter txt via landscape

i tried all the setting and none worked how i wanted. yeah i want mobile shell only displayed in portrait but it always changes to landscape after sending messages which then takes ages to go back
The best way, in my opinion (after trying all different rotation apps and seeing how they crash the system all the time..), is to assign the long press call button (instead of voice dialing) to screen rotation. The only thing you need to do is enable (using Schaps' Advance Config 3.3) "Show Screen Orientation" and then go into Start->Settings->Personal->Buttons and assign "Button 1(Hold)" to "Rotate Screen".
After all my other attempts, I think this way you control when you want it to rotate and it is the best option..
Good luck..
since one week ....
without any crashes i use

Help for autolock

Hi all, I have a very easy problem, but i can't solve it ..
I need to block my PDA beacuse every time that a textmessage comes, ( and i have got it in my pocket) a lot of programs open accidentally.
How i can block my blackstone, when i switch off the monitor ? Does exist a program for me ?
Thanks Bye
I use AutoLock. It is great.
i have just installed it .. but i cant find it anywhere ..
does it works for win 6.5 ?
Yes, it is for 6.5. Go to Settings\System and you should see an icon for Smart Lock. Select (in addition to the one already ticked) to Lock on Suspend.
In addition I also apply the following tweaks to AutoLock
- a nice skin I use the Dusk skin
- I also apply the HeartofWolf delay fix (this moves the slide to the bottom of the screen and does fix the delay problem to a large extent.)
thanks guys !!

Use this for the delay fix instead (works perfectly and very simple/easy):

Thanks, I also came across that last night after this post and can confirm that it works even better than the HeartofWolf fix. The only issue I suppose is that one needs to remember to redo the fix each time one aligns the screen.
sorry but i have another little problem.. For example, when i'm using the tom tom navigator after 1 minute the screen goes black and "autolock" starts running.. Is there a solution to prevent this ?
Thanks in advance..

What settings have you chosen for lock? If set to Dim Lock, it will lock each time the screen dims. You will need to choose Suspend lock. You can also check the timing of your screen dims and suspend in Settings\System\Power\Advanced

Can I stop the screen rotation for receiving a call / on a call

Hi all,
Quick one i hope. One thing that really annoys me about this phone is when im receiving a call depending on the angle of it when i take it out of the case, im unable to answer a call because the screen is midway on a portrait / landscape rotation.
Even the button to answer a call refuses to work until the screen has rotated.
So can I stop it for the "receiving call" screen? Can i make it always be portrait?
Thanks,
D.
Do you have your messaging on auto-rotate, meaning you can type on both portrait and landscape mode without opening up the hardware keyboard? Coz, it does the same thing on my TP2. I have g-config installed on my phone and I did set the WM messaging on auto-rotate. Ever since I did that, my in-call screen also rotates depending on the angle I picked my phone up. So if you have the same situation, just disable the auto-rotation using g-config.

I have the same deal here too, I know how to stop it, but this would also stop sms reply and email replys from auto rotating.
If you always use your keyboard to type, you can go into g config and remove all entries that say "dialog" and your call screen will stop rotating after a reset.
I like to use swype in landscape mode and would like to keep that rotation for sms replies but still stop my incoming call from rotating.
Any ideas?
you can use the text message program in manila instead, that uses manila.exe.

This works but then all of manilla rotates, like the today screen and some others. I dont want that either.
Thanks,
Jeff
I just remembered that i have GyRator 2 installed. And with it yeh if i rotate the screen in an sms without sliding the keyboard, it does rotate.
Ideally i just want to know what i can edit, or install to control what screens rotate, and which dont.
Sounds like i need to look at g-config then?
I dont really understand this manilla.exe though?
Thanks for your replies.

Hi dlthorpe
Yes, I can see how this problem is annoying. One thought is that there is a G-Sensor section of the registry which can be edited which, without any third party software allows screen rotation in various different applications. The same is actually true for the Zoom Bar and I think that the registry entries are adjacent.
Do a search for that. Just one hint, the executable file (and therefore process) that runs the phone canvas application is called cprog.exe If you remove this from your G-Sensor list, your phone screen should stop rotating with the phone's position.
Thanks

Hrm, curious about this as well (want SMS to rotate, don't use Manilla, and want CPROG to stop rotating). cprog.exe isn't in my G-Config list (and never was, custom ROM) but the canvas still rotates. Perhaps there's more to it?

I am in the same boat, I have deleted all out of my g config exept IE, opera and sms dialog and still the phone screen rotates too.
I have used the search with my resco reg editor for the g sensor but I can only find the settings for things like the polling interval and such, not anything that resembles the apps that are allowed to rotate.
Can someone get us pointed in the right direction?
thanks,
jeff

Force Lockscreen in Landscape

Hi Guys,
I've been trying to figure out how to force the rotation of lockscreen into landscape.
I have tried all rotation control apps, paid and not. However, I can't find what I was looking for.
Ultimate Rotation Control provides near what I was looking for. It can force the lockscreen rotation to any orientation I wanted,
however, once I set the rotation of lockscreen to force landscape always, everytime I unlock my tablet, the home screen which is
locked to Portait was displayed as Landscape for about 2 seconds.
I was thinking that if, it is not only an app. If, it was edited thru the internal system applications, it will provide the smoothness
that I was looking for.
I already tried to edit the framework-res, I still can't find the XML where the lockscreen can be forced to landscape.
Several nights browsing Google hoping that some articles are already there to teach how to edit the lockscreen but I can't see any.
Due to my work overseas, I was not able to focus on this. But now I'm somehow pissed and I wanted my tablet to be the
way I want it, to look the way how I wanted.
Can someone show me the right path to where I should start? I don't mind if it would mean that I should study Android as I am a
software engineer, but just a beginner in java.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kemaro
I'm using Rotation Control to force landscape. So far so good. Haven't noticed any problems and all apps like Instagram are forced to landscape without any issues.

The lockscreen of Tab S is always on auto rotate. It is not natively in landscape.
I wanted it to force landscape always but only the lockscreen. As for the home screen, it should be auto rotate.

I'm sorry but that's not what happens on my SM-T805 using Phoenixrom.
The Lockscreen and Homscreen stays natively in landscape and doesn't rotate at all.
I can use a rotation app to auto rotate the home screen, but the lockscreen stays landscape no matter what.
I don't remember it being any different on total stock.

You have the 8.4 version? That is a portrait device. I just assumed it was the 10.1 because you said landscape.
