Since my early WM days I was enviously looking at Nokia's Simple Center solution to remotely control music played on my PC from my WM device. Member "Magic" from the Swiss-German PocketPC forum found such a solution, made in Germany, available as a fully featured trial app in English or German:
1-2 Remote over WLAN and Bluetooth gives you access to your WMP or iTunes music collection, and lets you remotely play that music. Add a hardware audio transmitting/receiving solution to your PC, and you could send music to any given room, and control it from there on your HD.

If in return you want to listen to music from your PC or NAS on your HD take a look at Pocket Players UPnP networking solution (available as free add-on for PP).
wow what a great application, i just installed it, and it works great,
i have a bluetooth speaker that i use in the garden when having a BBQ but keeps cutting out due to reception, now i can run a speaker from pc to the garden and control the music from my phone with wifi when having a BBQ,
IF THE WEATHER GET BETTER. TOOOOO MUCH RAIN.............ARRGH
thanks for sharing this app.
That remind me an application called "Signal" http://www.alloysoft.com/
Anyway great app...
I've just installed this: http://www.jaylee.org/remotecontrol/ on my TD2 (posting here as this thread is where I found that it was possible to use WM in this way)
This one is not as polished as 1-2-Remote, but its free, it covers quite a few applications, although I've only tried it with itunes.
I initially ran into a problem of the TD2 not having any (easily/default) mapable keys, and thought this app was useless, but found that the keyboard itself could be used (small note, the keyboard I use can't use any of the QWERTY letters, but can use others including space etc, this does not effect the standard keyboard).
Have a try.
Hi i think this is a great application.
1-2 Remote has so many features, i will install Signal and give that a try as well and see which one is best.
i have looked at Bluetooth Remote Control for Windows Mobile, and it seem so simple but good points is that it is free.
still i will install it and see which one i will keep.
thanks for the posts

or an multimedia interface like the motorola S705
Need is the same, just those 2 kind of product could give solution to my needs.
Here all the features i am looking for, as you'll see, the HBH-DS970
respond to 80% of it, well... in fact 50% for me because i have an universal not fully compatible...
mutimedia needs :
-Stereo AD2P
-Remote Control AVRCP
-Display titles, artist, etc... compatible with (whatever the player software) any WM5 or WM6 device (so the HBH-DS970 is discalified for me)
Phone needs
-Display caller name on my Universal (WM5 or WM6)
-Travel into my contact list, to easyly call someone, so i have the remote in my hand, i see contacts on its screen, i pickup one with two of its buttons, and call the guy !!!
-bluetooth range biger than 1.5 meters
-not useless microphone
Last need :
- in-ear "speaker" (don't know if speaker is the good word lol, but i think you understood what i mean ). In fact i'm looking for small and stealth speaker with good sound, specialy for bass (earing Jazz/Funk, not techno ). I don't want to look like robocop with a big headset.
-Keep my actual phone HTC Universal
Here in pratice what i'm looking for:
I love my phone, but it's quite true, that it is too big to keep it in my pocket all the time. At the office it is placed on my desktop, i'm moving a lot inside my office flat, so when it rings, i have to rush to my desktop to hang up. So i need to see who is calling me, and be able to receive/give calls when i'm not on my desktop (max 10 meters, usualy 5).
On Transport, i don't like to show my phone to everybody, so i need AVRCP to control my mp3 player, i also want to see titles, do be really faster. Otherwise, i know that i'll pass my time to hang my phone to look at it"s screen.
Do you know if a such device exist, or is going to exist shortly?
The sonyericson is really too much expensive for what it would bring to me :
around 90€ no possibility to see titles, just caller, it's not enough for its price.
Thanks for any answer
Obviously, the dreams is not only yours
LOL =D
Well, there are 2 Bluetooth headsets I knew and tried that match all those wishes, but only lacking "the Display".
1. Sony DR-BT20NX
2. O2 XA-06
I happened to buy number 2...
I have heard on some smart phones you could get a bluetooth mouse to pair and function with the phone. Does anyone know if this is possible with the dash?
Not that I heard of. What phone did you hear does this?

Yeah I couldn't find the thread I had read earlier. This was the closest I could find. I read somewhere that someone did get a bluetooth mouse to work with Excalibur. However now I can't find the article. He said the only problem he had was finding a mouse pointer program.
I was experimenting with something similar to his earlier today, although I desired the reverse method of control. I noticed that XP MCE device manager had a HID that was called Bluetooth Remote Control.
After a little search, I discovered a free application called Bluetooth Remote Control for Windows Mobile.
http://www.jaylee.org/remotecontrol/
I installed the application and was quite surprised that I could control my XP MCE laptop's Media Center as well as Windows Media Player with my HTC S620 (modded Dash). The application even utilizes the HTC display to display song information and also there is no line of sight requirement.
What I really wanted was to be able to control the PC's mouse and keyboard with the Smartphone. Not view the PC but just use the phone like a mouse and keyboard. The application has this ability (Screen Control) for PPC's but not completely for Smartphones. I was able to scroll up, down on a web page or application but that was all.
I installed FakeCursor and configured SmartToolKit to launch it from an extended keypress. Now I was able to move the mouse pointer on the laptop, a bit, and enter data via the HTC keypad. However, Fakecursor stopped sending data after it reached the edge of the Dash screen so I could not completely navigate the laptop.
If anyone is looking for a free remote control for audio/video application the application mentioned above would be a good start.
Any tips about the best way to use a Smartphone Standard without touch to control a PC would be welcomed.
hey ive searched the forum but cant find what im looking for
So is there a cab. or other easy way to change the look of the tf3 player?
(i dont like the standard player at all)
if not is there a easy way to remove the tf3 player and add a wmp tab instead?
Hope someone knows
thanks
currently no and no i think. Why do you want to use WMP instead of the audio manager? I love audio manger for a few reasons and why it is better than WMP.
Flicking through songs is easier, you get the album art, when you soft reset your phone it only goes back the beginning of the current song not the whole playlist like WMP and finally its on a touchFLO tab.
i agree on all those points, however the way it looks and feels I think is so annyoing. So I think we need another option with better design but same functionality
How about this one?

Guys i try alot of diferent programs for listening music i try MORT player witch many peoples say is the best i try around 5 other and finaly what i can say from all this expirience is that!
The default Audio Player in the Touch Flo is the best not only because is very finger friendly and easy to use.. the default audio player also have very good crystal sound!
Im saying this because i use very high tech speakers and NO ONE Audio Player that i test can beat the default Audio Player so you don`t have any reason to remove it?!
I cant live without listening music on the Touch Flo
Cheers
i found this thing
However it doesnt replace the touchFLO player and also its a little buggy
Since the music player in TF3D is essentially part of a skin anyway I think your best bet is to find another player if you're not happy with it.
Guys how we missed this?
Since 9th of December this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifit.android.app&hl=es
Added standalone support for GPS running with our SW3.
We have to try it.

but can we export the training to other app? like runkeeper?
I don't think so. But it's a nice way to try a new service and website.
Tried this today... Only good thing over ghostracer is looks, but that's it. More functionality and ambient with ghostracer.
Actually I find this app more than enough. It just works. Settings are easy to use and all tipical info is displayed.
I know ghostracer is great having the developer here, but ifit is the best other choice.
It's possible to see at the same time four fields of information.
And also when the app starts it waits for proper gps signal.
It's the closed ecosystem that is a non starter for me. Their website stinks and for serious runners, strava, runkeeper, etc are 100x better
I know, it depends how serious you're.
I just run for fun and I have enough with proper data in my wrist, basic cloud storage and web service.
At the moment it's the only decent alternative to Ghostracer beta...
I see now they even are promoting the SW3
https://www.ifit.com/sonywatch
I think they deserve a little more attention. They are the first of the professional running web services to develope serously for our watches.
Most serious runners or bikers have never heard of ifit. They cater more to the gym treadmill crowd with their built in software. Not saying it's bad, but most serious runners have garmin, polar, or sunutoo, or tomtom. Which have their own services and many sync to strava and runtastic.
With ghostracer hrm support, lapping, and future alerts, it smokes ifit
Sure, I also think ghostracer is the most serious project with our watch.
Just saying this is the best other (not beta) choice right now.
I just got a new SSW3 today and it has a iFit logo on the box.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
gps accuracy?
Just wondering how is the gps accuracy for this app?
I have tried runkeeper, and I have no way knowing if the gps is connected or not.
Just tried ifit, only run for around 1.6km and it reported too short to save to the phone and just deleted the record.
I don't usually run a long distance, and this isn't a app for me if can't record short distances. :crying:
Otherwise, the GPS seems to be better than runkeeper. At least it keeps track of my run even I am under a sheltered walkway.
Hi Guys, how are you?
Sorry if the title doesn't meet the rules, I didn't came here since my Nexus 5 died, a long time ago!
Well, enough talk about me.
The title says it all, is there any way to use and/or remap the TV stick remote control with a PC (Windows 10) with bluetooth or, if not, any other protocol?
I've been lookin for everywhere and in the very little informations I got, nothing seem's to work. I can pair the remote on my PC through bluetooth, it register under the nickname of "AR", but the remote does nothing. AHK and AHKHID doesn't register the remote pressed buttons so I can't remap them. I'm new to AHK, so maybe I do something wrong.
If you have any information to give me, don't be shy!
I want to use it for Plex on Windows, my old laptop does a pretty nice job as media center. As of why I don't use the TV Stick, it's because it's the worst, most unusable, slower, buggier piece of garbage I ever bought, thankfully it was cheap, but I don't even understand how such a product can reach the market, in it's final days, it couldn't even start Prime Video. But the remote control might be useful!
Have a nice day you all!

Hi 0815hoffi! Thanks for your time! I was so desperate that I already tried, mind you, and AntiMicro simply tell me that it find no device ^^'
Thanks for the try ^^
I ordered a cheap'o remote... on Amazon, they got me all the time. It's just sad, because if the Amazon Remote had a way to remap keys, it would make less waste... I won't use even though it's working great
