Tmo is 1700/2100 and ATT is 850/1900 right? So does this mean the TMo version can do 3g on both networks? I wonder if the ATT version will work the same way?

I thought I had that down, but there's skepticism, and I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to carrier bands, so when Epsilon posted, I decided to poll the forum.

I'm pretty sure the 850/1900MHz frequencies listed on those specs are part of the GSM bands it will cover, as it has Quad-band GSM, and not part of the 3G frequencies it will use.

So my question is, does the part of the spec sheet I posted above mean the TMo version could be, once unlocked, used on ATT's network with full 3G?

CDMA 3G in Europe?
This arcticle mentions this is a CDMA 3G /umts data capable, but isn't this a US - only service that will not function in Europe?
T-mobile is still a German company, i think they will sell it in Germany as well. Maybe there will be different versions?!
My understanding, based on a thread over at Howard Forums, is that this is a tri-band phone (i.e. no 850 MHz) and will NOT be offered in the USA. Cingular (the biggest GSM provider in the US) is moving to 850 MHz, so this device may not work on their network.
This device will work in the USA with T-Mobile as the service provider.
Cingular own 850 and 1900 spectrum however I've read on HoFo that the 850 band is becoming the control band (i.e. you need this to register on the network). I have tried my cingular SIM in my SE P800 and it doesn't connect to the network.
I am having Samsung Galaxy S 2 Epic 4G CDMA which has no SIM. But I am leaving now in Europe. Is it possible to change hardware that this phone will support SIM?
Or I can just throw this phone away because it is useless now.
EDIT:
I get answer from the provider:
Net Frequency: GSM 900/1800, W-CDMA 2100
can I use it with this phone?
thx

It makes a nice mp3 player, but otherwise you are out of luck. It is not a world phone.
No. You can't change it to a GSM phone.

Dev edition vs T-Mobile version, are these hardware differences, or software? Could I flash a T-Mobile radio onto a developer edition to unlock the bands to get HSPA+ on PCS(1700 and 2100)?
Also T-Mobile plans on rolling out 700MHz LTE later this year, would this be compatible?
The developer edition is an "AT&T variant" which restricts some bands, meaning I drop down to EDGE in some areas where T-Mobile hasn't refarmed(modernized) their spectrum.
from anandtech:
>As far as I can tell only the AT&T and Google Play Edition SKUs support carrier aggregation. The two SKUs are quite similar from a cellular standpoint, with the AT&T model locking out UMTS band 4 to discourage movement to T-Mobile.
also, could I get wi-fi calling if I found and flashed a T-Mobile stock rom?

Flash a T-Mobile ROM or one that has T-Mobile support
Today I found out that the OP3 supports 256QAM although it is a CAT6 phone. This would mean it doesn‘t match the LTE Standards in any way. This made me thinking if the modem in reality is no CAT6 modem and may be able to support 3CA. Maybe it is just limited by software. So does anybody know something about this?
Here is a Screenshot from Network Signal Guru with 256QAM:

I‘m currently roaming, Just had a (really really poor) 3CA Signal on the Orange FR Network. That should mean it is possible even if I haven‘t seen it anywhere else.
AT&T told me that I have to upgrade my prepaid plan in order to get 5G speeds (I know, they're not really 5G), and I don't want to keep $1100 phone and pay more for service if I am unable to get them because phone does not have correct bands. Three websites list different bands for US model and I could swear OnePlus website did not list bands n260 and n261 a week ago. Then who is finally right?

Or finally OnePlus?
If you buy the North American variant, the bands are there.
But the problem with AT&T is that OnePlus has not certified
the 9 series for their 5G network so you wanna double check that
but regardless you have to buy the correct model for North America(U.S & Canada).
