Anyone able to get Pandora Radio working within a WM6 Browser? If so, could you give a few pointers to help out a brother? Opera Hangs about midway though loading, while IE fails the indentity check. I thought I had my IE registry set to appear as a desktop. Any help would be appreaciated.
I'd like to know this too... I've tried opera but even when set to desktop Pandora tells me it doesn't support it.
Anyone got it to work?
Any Update on this?
Thanks!
I def would like to know if anyone can extract the pandora for WM6 app from a sprint touch.... I have an unlocked touch and I'm using ATT
I've downloaded and installed the trial for wmIRC and it's working fine over WIFI on my HTC S621, but I can't get it to work over GPRS\EDGE ? I can use IE and Opera Mini without the WIFI.
Any ideas of what I can try, or are there other Windows Mobile Smartphone Standard IRC clients I could try?
Thank you,
Tim

make sure you start an edge connection before trying to log onto irc. i use wmirc daily and works through either connection. just open a browser and go to a website to initiate the data connection (for some reason wmirc will initiate *sometimes* and not others) then open irc and just hit connect. may take a sec to go through the ident and ****...but it gets there...

I've tried that, no luck. I don't have the ident option checked, but I never need it for WIFI. I'm just wondering if it's my carrier, Suncom blocking it. It's just strange to me that my email, IE, mini-opera, etc. works. But not this.
I'm looking now to see if I can find a way to link (or echo) messages over to an instant messenger ID. Because I know that I can get Palringo or some other IM client to work.
Thank you,
Tim

I wasnt so much talking about enabling indent..i was just talking about when you connect to the server and i queries the client..
what version of wmirc is it?
This probably doesn't help much but I have it working fine on another device over CDMA.
Honestly, prepare to be disappointed though. Its a very buggy program. The user lists tend to disappear, sometimes a new pm opens and switching from one to the next shows the same messages, and it randomly completely crashes.
There's also zsIRC at zsirc.com. However, this is many written for WM Pro, so there's a lot of things that you can't do if you don't have a touchscreen (also, you can't install the .cab on WM Standard and need to use the .exe installer.)
i agree. but for smartphone its really the only one that works. ive tried 3. wmirc, jirc and some other one that i cant remember.
as far as just chattin in a channel, its fine. ive had it up with no disconnects on the edge network for 8 hours. with wifi i have left on for days and it never crashed or disconnected. yea the user list is a little retarded, but thats a non issue for me. you can still use basic commands like /whois . i dont think its ever going to get better than this though. as far as i know, no one else is developing a new client.
so i guess just pick the lesser poison..if you want to run it through java (which i couldnt stand) try out jirc.
shoot me a pm and let me know what version you have. i will probably just give you a link to my site and you can try the one i have because i know it works. im running 6.1 rickys v. 24
I'm just using the standard 2.2 from the wmirc.com site.
I don't tend to have problems with my stock Tilt2 going to WAP sites but this particular site coreplayer.com doesn't seem to work correctly.
It loads up what appears to be a WAP site and for the life of me I can't get Opera to go to the full site.
In Opera:config I've tried erasing the "wireless.cingular.com" text
and have unchecked "Use HTTP and HTTPS" in that same area.
In addition I've also use Program>Tools>Proxy Manager>Disable Proxy and it still doesn't load the full site.
Anyone have any ideas?
Does somebody want to try and enter this url (coreplayer.com) into their Opera Mobile browser and see what they get. I get redirected to "Mobihand"
You might trying looking in this Opera thread. Or possbily updating to one of the newer versions of Opera. I use 10 beta 2 and it does not redirect.
Thanks. Yeah I already checked that Opera thread but didn't find anything useful. I don't prefer Opera 10 since it still has some issues for me.
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've visited, since the TP2 has been working great!
I have an odd issue that I searched for and couldn't find a solution.
I am using the standard ATT ROM, haven't added any new programs or made any large changes and this problem just crept up!
Issue:
I open opera mobile 9.5 (came with device) and when I try to type anything (whether a search or the address bar) the phone freezes!
Very odd since it just started happening out of the blue. Corrupt files?
Any help would be great!
Thanks!
I see that a few other people have had the same issue and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. Uzard give me a error message that "my phone radio is off" and wont connect. Anybody know what I can do?
Finaaly figured it out. It did connect using wifi then i thought maybe i should put the sim card back in even though i dont use it because im cdma and that did it. Uzard is pretty good in situations where opera mini wont work. still testing.
First, please put an actual subject message instead of just [Q] in the future.
Make sure your cellular radio is active (or wifi, if that's how you connect). If it is, then verify that you are able to connect with another browser like Opera.
Also note that Uzard is a proxy browser. Meaning that the sites you visit are pre-rendered on their servers. I've used this browser before as a replacement for Skyfire, and was not impressed. Their servers go down fairly often, from what I've seen and read. This may also be the case with you right now.

Not sure how i even found this post. I guess i was searching info on Uzard.
I dumped Uzard altogether. I switched to using it after Skyfire stopped supporting windows Mobile devices. Uzard on my Tilt2 was soooo sticky, jumped and stick so bad that it wasnt worth the headache. At the time, my tilt had plenty processing room even though it was a proxy server i was tapping into. so it wasnt my phone that was the prob.
.... looks like im gonna have to move to android if i want to view flashfiles.. i dont care for windows7
