Sorry to disappoint you but but judging from the download link ROM version 1.93 is ye olde slow softwear.
2.07 is HTC's newest ROM and there's already a german Vodafone ROM 2.09.
i know its old, but its better than the 1.37 t-mobile were previously using
I get a couple of problems when using other roms as they disable some of t-mobiles features like mobile-tv, youtube and limits the internet sites you can visit.
Im not very good with compiling roms so unless someone can get the t-mobile cabs for that out of this rom and put it in a nice new wm6.5 rom for me, this will have to do

I'm with T-mobile UK using the Diamond with EnergyROM and have no problem with any websites i use, if you want to give some examples I'd like to try it out and see if there is any problem there for me.
As for apps, EnergyROM (standard version which i'm using at least) and I'm sure a number of others have the YouTube app in, not sure what the mobile-tv thing is as I havent had the t-mobile ROM for a long time, I'll take a look and see if I can find it for you.
I can't believe t-mobile have finally upgraded from the ancient 1.37 rom!
1.93 is also old and should have been released last summer - only 1 year late t-mobile.
We moved on along time ago. T-Mobile UK must be the worst operator for releasing updated roms.

You have unticked use proxy server in connection setting haven't you as that causes most problem on t-mobile internet access.
I'm currently using a custom rom and the olipro 1.93 ruu , if i wanted to flash this T-Mobile rom, say for warrany purposes, do i have to flash a signed ruu first?

As far as T-mobile are concerned if you use anything other than the ROM they provide, or updates from their site, your warranty is void.
That being said if you need to send it back to them under warranty one of 2 things is likely, either
A) you'll still be able to get it to bootloader and then put the t-mobile rom back on it, in which case I doubt the returns centre will notice whether i has hardSPL on or not, they're hardly thorough in their testing.
or
B) the phone will be so dead you can't get to the bootloader in which case t-mobile won't be able to either and won't know what you did to it. I have once or twice sent bricked HTC devices back to networks under warranty, they've always just replaced them for me.
Anyway as far as how to flash the T-mobile rom to your device, just use the Custom RUU.exe and the .nbh file from T-Mobile. If you open the executable that you downloaded from T-Mobile with 7Zip (or some other archive manager) you can extract the files from it. I did this with mine last night just to check out the t-mobile rom, then went straight back to a custom rom.

As always use at your own risk.
write down your MDN and MSID before you start
Removed:
Relaxed security.
HTC Home , because i dont like , its not very useful and takes too much space and memory.
ArcsoftMMS , because it does not work with telus
Alltel customizations.
HTC Cube , ( Left touchflo intact , just cube part is removed)
Some other stuff that i dont remember.
Added:
Jbed java
Opera mini ( has its own icon, removed security warning you get everytime you connect)
Dotfred's task manager
GPS launcher for those who use TomTom etc.
PDC clock
PHM notepad
Pocket Rar.
addes cabs of telus mobile email, google maps, live search, spb mobile shell to my documants. you can install these if you want.
Mini Howto
step 1 Unlock / install bootloader from
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/ImCoKeMaN/Vogue_unlocker_MFG_2.31.exe
You must follow onscreen instructions very carefully as its very easy to miss something.
step 2
Install Alltel stock rom
http://216.139.227.226/alltel/RUU_V..._NV2.00_PRL30008_0331_Ship_withSpecialNBH.exe
Boot it up after flashing but do not align screen , if you miss that do not let customizations run.
step 3
Install my custom telus rom from
http://rapidshare.com/files/112775037/CustomTelusGPSRomForTouch.zip.html
If your data is not working
You did not follow instructions in step 2. Please repeat step 2 and step 3
I there anyway you could do up a rom that is identical to the rom released with the telus htc touches now but with the GPS support? Ie... still has HTC Home and the cube etc. I like the rom the way it is I just want the GPS support. I emailed Telus and they wouldnt give me an update on when they are releaseing there rom update.
I believe this rom has gps and rev A.
Another cook, welcome to the club. Good luck man
Thank you.
I am not a professional cook.
I like newest stock base with some programs added or removed. Everybody is cooking with wm6.1 that is designed for other devices. So i had to cook for myself. Whatever i cook, I just post it here so that somebody else with similar taste can use it.
BTW its not my first rom, i had cooked some for Titan, i just bought touch and cloned it with titan.
hey i would love to put this rom on my phone. i have never flashed my phone befor so i will be doing some reading. Any suggested threads for flashing my telus touch. also how do i find out my MDN and MSID? i just want gps why can't telus put out an official update now
Edit:Nevermind i found it. will probably be venturing to flash this tonight or over the weekend
Thank you verry much for this rom a1jatt i flashed it on my phone last night with no problem. theire is one thing i noticed that is a little annoying don't know if it's happening to you but the phone dialer keep popping up at random times when i close other applications. Apart from that so far it's better than the stock telus rom.
i have a question. I wondering if when telus comes out with the official rom upgrade will i be able to upgrade to it with no issues(assuming they are activating gps and have a 3.xx radio version) also will this re-lock my phone.

There is some information on ppcgeeks.com .. you can flash back to .40 spl / unlocker and then flash oem rom, that will overwrite most of the stuff. but right now its advised not to do so but seems like they are working on it.
Even if telus comes with new ROM i think its best to keep it unlocked. I think its safer that way.
thank you for your reply. Could i get the latest version of this rom. i absolutly love it. it works much better than the stock rom
You got a PM.
great thank you again for this rom

Why not just cook one with the ppcgeeks kitchen?

Anyone tested out the radio yet?
I installed it, stopped customization and then ran my dcd carrier cab.
So far so good, seems to be pretty responsive. For me its more responsive then some recent custom roms I've ran. No issues with the calls or with data. I'll report if anything comes up.
Can you flash just the radio using the SD card?? I have a Titan, but my friend has the Vogue..... I have the radio that was posted on the Titan upgrade forum by DCD, can this be flashed to his Vogue??

This new Bell ROM is simply THE BEST one I have tried. Now granted I am a Bell customer but this ROM gets a GPS lock faster then any of the other ones I have tried.
Hi folks,
During the rom update, do we need to let the customization runs or soft reset before ?
Thank you
question new to the whole rom upgrading dealy
would the bell 6.1 upgrade interfere with my verizon service and whatnot?

Yes. I just let 'er rip. Lost a lot of cool utilities but well worth the pain of finding them again. GPS lox in seconds. Indoors! It's a beautiful thing. No more waiting 10 minutes for GPS. No worries about upgrading from a non-Bell rom, either.
(i am a Bell customer)
Can I use the ROM to my HTC Touch. I do not use Bell. I'm from Bangladesh and use a local provider here. So what you suggest, should I proceed with that?

Should be fine, just don't let the customization run. Be sure to take down all of your settings before you flash too, incase they are lost.

Can someone put the file on rapidshare or some other server. The HTC link to download the file is saying "not found" now.

official bell 6.1 update
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I have a new Alltell Touch, I lost my old modded one as far as Alltel is concerned. I downloaded the new Bell rom because i want the upgraded radio. I unlocked my phone using Cokeman's unlocker and tried to flash to the Bell rom. It gets to 31% and stops and will not go any further, when I retry it gives me an "Invalid Vendor ID" error. I am able to reflash back to the original Alltel rom with no problem. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? I'm not new to this and I'm getting my arse handed to me by this phone, lol.
HELP! I installed the rom update and I have gps, threaded text messaging and everything but I don't have the "slide panel" interface signature to windows mobile 6.1! why not?

Are you sure you are using a vogue and not an elf? Do they have CDMA in Bangladesh, I would assume it would be GSM.
IF you are using GSM you can't flash that rom.
Hello all....
I just picked up a TP2 yesterday.....and i wanna get into tinkering with it.....
i have a g1 with a custom rom, and i also had an htc dash that i installed a rom on.....i know that stock doesnt always give the best performance so i want some suggestions....
basically im looking for a rom that has speed, stability and looks nice....my phones on 6.1 .......so can you guys point me in the right direction?
ohh...and ive notice the screen isnt as responsive on the tp2 as on my g1....i know theyre different (resistive/capacitive) ....can any of the roms improve the screen responsiveness? just askin.....
and thanx again ppl
I've sorted the ROM forum by most views for you, this just means they [probably] have the most downloads, support, and debugging
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=490&daysprune=-1&order=desc&sort=views
There are a lot of tools out there that can change performance, At0mAng d3d driver works nicely. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546522
i guess ill try out the one with the most views then.....i was messin with the phone and it looks like its still on 6.1......lets see how this goes

That's the specifications page for the unbranded (european) version. There are several GSM-only models, mostly for use in the US.
Energy ROMs are my favorites. They look really nice with good features thrown in. Unfortunately, I'm sticking with 6.1 since it's the fastest, most stable, with the most available memory. Need to do a lot of multitasking so the bling bling just wasn't working for me.

So, if I'll decide to install a new unbranded rom, which one I should choose? The CDMA or GSM version? My Rhodium is European version so I suppose the GSM version: that's correct?

This is VERY interesting. Now there is a branded WM6.1 (tim) version on my HTC. But I could consider to leave this rom. Have you done some trustworthy tests for a long time?
Anyway if I decide to update with a new rom, I should use HardSPL. I downloaded this program but my avira antivirus flash up a warning message: can I really trust in HardSPL? Or is there any trojan that I'll could inject inside my Rhodium?
Lets put it this way, if you don't have Hard SPL and you aren't CID unlocked then you will very quickly have a beautiful new shiny Rhodium paper weight.
Hard SPL allows non-carrier specific roms to be loaded... Without it you won't get far...
Had the same problem with my antivirus, you will need to disable it while running Hard SPL, and you will still need to be connected to the net.
As for the Roms, YOU need to read about them then decide whats right for you. Everyone you talk to will recommend a different rom but your circumstances will play a big part in the rom you choose... It doesn't help that every other day a new rom comes out.
Cheers...

Don't get me wrong. 6.5 ROMs work really well, I just had some issues with a particular software that I needed to use in most cases. But 6.1 does have more memory.
Hi, I bought a HTC touch pro 2 phone a couple months back with windows mobile 6.5 on the phone and today i woke up to find that the operating system was some beta version and that it has run out so now the phone is not working. There is no information anywhere what to do.
I have tryed going on the htc site and downloading software but when i put the serial number in it says that it is not suitable
How can i install an operating system that will work or even get this version to work
Any help would be apprecitated
What an incredibly weird problem.
Your best bet* is to go to your carrier's website (rather than HTC's) and download their most current ROM.
Alternatively, you could download one of hundreds of custom ROMs here or on other sites. Just make sure you use a GSM ROM if you have a GSM phone or a CDMA ROM if you have a CDMA phone.
*Many are going to insist that a custom ROM is your best bet. Since you don't seem to be very familiar with these concepts I really think a stock ROM from your carrier is the best place to start in order to get your phone working again.

It sounds like you bought a used phone that someone had put a custom rom on. Ive heard people discuss in the NRG Rom thread that some of the roms previous to April 1st would expire on the first of may. This sounds all too similar.
My advice... flash a new rom. Especially if you DID but the phone used. That's like what is going on. Do some reading in the Rom sub forum and you'll see what I'm talking. find the NRG Rom thread and search "expiration" or something.
Hope this helps some!
Hi, It expired on the 1st may so i guess that might be what the problem is. How can i instal i new rom? and where can i get this information. Do you have any links?
Thanks

Thats a big question that you're best just doing some reading on and if you have questions as in those threads.
The thread's you want to read are here ---->Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development
Read through those threads that are at the very top with "Sticky" next to them. All the threads below are rom related threads about certain roms availabe to install etc.
I sold my phone to someone who wants to restore the AT&T Tilt2 stock ROM (I sold it with the latest Illuminati ROM). Is there a link somewhere I can point him to that will give him the necessary files and instructions? In particular, he wants to enable picture mail and access the AT&T app market, and the Illuminati ROM either doesn't have those features or has them configured somewhere other than where he's expecting them.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I did indeed find the HTC Tilt2 ROM at /us/support/htc-tilt2-att/software-updates on the htc.com web site and directed the buyer to it, but he's having some unspecified problem (maybe due to the unfamiliarity of loading ROMs) and other links I found suggest that HTC prevents upgrades unless they are being done to phones that already have approved software on them.
Is anyone aware of such restrictions?

I have the sprint touch pro 2 Rhod400, and have loaded the stock rom with non stock software on the phone. I usually use the SD card method, but that takes a little bit more work. Try having them putting the phone into the tri-color mode, and then starting the rom software.
OK, thanks. I'll pass that on to the buyer.
