Want more Storage? New bugfixed version 2.1 rc2!

Edit: New version available! Compatible with Kaiser, Titan, Artemis, Hermes etc.
New version 2.1rc2! This is a major upgrade to version 2.0 (and a bugfix to 2.1rc1). The ImgfsTools now support generating ROMs for Kaiser, Hermes, Titan, Artemis and probably quite some more. All Hermes-specific code was replaced with code working for all devices
The new version is attached to this post.

What happened? Well, the IMGFS partition (a.k.a. OS.nb) has 8 MByte free space. Until now it was not possible to shrink the IMGFS partiton and enlarge Storage in return, so that space was wasted.
This has changed - now also on the Kaiser!
I modified mamaich's ImgfsTools so that they now create the smallest possible OS.nb from a 'dump' directory, and also write the partition table and MSFLSH header matching the new size. The result is what you see above.

What it is
==========
These little programs help you with cooking your own ROM. They allow you to unpack an OS.nb file into individual files as you'd find them on your device, and to re-pack them into a new OS.nb which you can flash to your device. Of course, betweem unpacking and re-packing, you'll want to add/modify/remove some of them.
The tools are enhanced versions of mamaich's imgfs_tools - a huge Thank You goes to mamaich for creating them, and also for releasing the source code!
The most significant enhancement is that the IMGFS inside the generated OS.nb is no longer of fixed size, but is as small as possible. This means: the more of the unpacked files you remove before re-packing, the smaller it'll get and consequently the bigger your Storage memory will become. Also, the tools are no longer device-specific and should also work other devices than the Hermes.

Before you flash a ROM created with these tools, make sure you know how to recover from a non-booting ROM! For Hermes and Kaiser, you should install a HardSPL before you use these tools! I accept no responsibility for bricked devices!
Supported devices
=================
These tools have been tested on HTC devices only, and are known to work on Hermes, Kaiser, Titan and Artemis. Other devices were not tested and may or may not work.
If you want to try, I will gladly support you. However, I cannot accept responsibility for bricked devices!
How it works
============
On a high level, this is the chain of actions needed to unpack OS.nb:
RUU-signed.nbh ---(*NBHExtract)---> OS.nb ---(NBSplit)---> OS.nb.payload -->
--(ImgfsFromNb)---> imgfs.bin ---(ImgfsToDump)---> 'dump' directory
At that stage, you will want to edit the 'dump' directory. I recommend using bepe's excellent *Package Tool for this.
The reverse process is:
'dump' directory ---(ImgfsFromDump)---> imgfs-new.bin ---(ImgfsToNb)--->
OS-new.nb.payload ---(NBMerge)---> OS-new.nb ---(*NBHGen)--->
RUU-signed-new.nbh
(The tools marked with '*' are not part of the ImgfsTools, but are also available for free from xda-developers.com. There is also one additional tool, NBInfo, in this package.)

ROMs generated by 2.1RC1 would not boot if created with a certain combination of parameters. Fixed.
2007-10-14 2.1RC1
Major overhaul:
- All Hermes-specific assumptions (like the sector size being always 0x200) are now gone.
- "conservative" mode added to ImgfsToNb and NBMerge
- on devices that have only two MSFLSH flash regions, ImgfsToNb overwrote a few bytes in the XIP section, causing unpredictable results. This was fixed.
- Removed "-emu" support from NBSplit and NBMerge, as this didn't work with WM6 emulator images.
2007-03-18 2.0 RC 2
All tools now linked statically to the MS runtime library, no longer needs DLL. No other changes.

I do not plan to offer any cooked ROMs myself, as there are many excellent chefs in this forum already. But I would think a new approach to ROM cooking may emerge: make a ROM as small as at all possible, removing anything that users may not want, and turn every removed feature into a .cab that users can install to Storage (bepe's excellent Package Tool makes this very simple!). This will give maximum flexibility without wasting any memory.
Give me one more day to write up the documentation, and then I'll upload the new Imgs Tools version.

Disclaimer: I only tested this with my Hermes. Please be careful if you use it with other devices. Oh, and it can't hurt to be careful even with a Hermes!

Am I right that embedding things into the ROM makes them run slightly faster? Some things that everyone will use would be better off kept into the ROM in that case, which would bring in the disagreement of what everyone thinks should be included. It would be very intresting to see if someone can build a completely pure OS though.

Glad you asked.
If by "things" you mean applications, the opposite is true.
As code cannot be executed directly from NAND flash, everything has to be copied to RAM before execution (the term XIP - eXecute In Place - is misleading here. There is no true XIP in a Hermes). Some executables and DLLs are stored as "modules" in ROM, i.e. already prepared to be copied "as is" to RAM. Moving these from ROM modules to normal files in Storage will indeed make them load slower, although once loaded execution will be the same speed.
However, applications are not stored as modules. Even in ROM they are normal files, and speed-wise it makes absolutely no difference if they are loaded from ROM or Storage into RAM.
But there is one more important aspect: the size of the Windows directory. Even Microsoft admits that having 1800 files in one directory slows the device down significantly. And unfortunately, all files in IMGFS are in the Windows directory (with initflashfiles.dat, you can only copy them elsewhere, not move them).
So, if we manage to remove as many files and apps as possible from the ROM (and hence the Windows directory), and package them into .cabs in a way that they get installed into directories other than Windows, I would think we would see some increase in speed, since accessing the Windows directory would be quite a bit faster - and I guess the OS accesses that directory rather often.
At the moment, this is only theory. I haven't tried to prove it yet.

Leave few things in there. whats the point of having all that memory with nothing in it. I love bubble breaker.
Also as mentioned it would be great if we can merge ExtRom into main memory.

The point is that you can decide what you want to put in there without having to cook your own ROM.
Also as mentioned it would be great if we can merge ExtRom into main memory.

Creating own Diamond kitchen....

I have finally managed to dump my rom of my TD. My main goal is to create a rom which is personalised for myself with cab files like WIMP, TT, SPB Time etc... programs i bought for my TC.
Now i have 4 .raw files and decided to download the Diamond Kitchen. After download i got a "kitchen" but with the parts from the Diamond rom which ofcourse i don't need.
I have read alot of WIKI pages, but i cannot find a tutorial how to create an own rom with personalised cab files.
What i have done:
1- created .raw files of my current rom 1.37.405.1 WWE
2- Downloaded the original rom of 1.37.405.1 WWE from HTC
3- Downloaded the Diamond kitchen here http://rapidshare.com/files/124999979/Diamond_HH_RomKitchen.part1.rar and http://rapidshare.com/files/125003993/Diamond_HH_RomKitchen.part2.rar (credits goes to caxio)

In the OEM map i have lots of tools. My guess these are the tools which are going to be installed after a hard reset.
In the ROM map i have a XIP map and a OS.NB.payload file
In the SYS map i have a kinds of dll maps
And in the TOOLS map i have a lot of tools
My first question about this is...how can i extract the files from my dumped rom for the OEM, ROM and SYS maps?

i have used for rebuild italian rom

I have taken a Kaiser kitchen, edited the htcrt.ini, placed RUU_signed.nbh .raw01 and .raw02 in the baseRom folderand pushed on !BEGIN.cmd
Let found out what happens....at first it created errors, but after that it began to make OS.nb etc...

At this moment i am at the HTC rom tool...everything looks ok for now
Is this ok?

what i dont understand is why you are bother to extract .RAW from your device?
you can extract it from the available ROM (maybe using kaiser kitchen from alex), and cook it the way you like it, and repack again using that chinese kitchen...

Hmm, never thought of that indeed. But as far as i could see when i place the raw01 and raw02 files in the baseRom map, it automatically extract the raw files. And i dont know how to do it with the original rom.

you can extract the original rom and maybe some custom rom using existing kitchen... and with a few clicks you will get OEM, SYS and ROM (with XIP inside) folders...

Ok, what i have done so far is:
placed RUU_signed raw01 & raw02 in the BaseRom
Pushed !BEGIN.cmd and everything is running.
At the HTC rom tool i have selected the OS-new.nb file and created a new RUU_signed.nbh
So for now everything looks fine. But the now the main goal. Creating a personalized ROM with my own cab files and programs.
Before i push !COOK.cmd i can play with the programs i guess in the OEM folder. But is there a tutorial how to add programs to the OEM folder? Or ofcourse deleting it?

If you want to add apps to the rom you must convert your cabs to a socalled OEM package.
This package contains all files that need to be installed(*.exe,images and such), a file called "initflashfiles.txt"(unicode) that tells the buildOS where to put the files, and at last an .RGU file that contains registry settings for the programme.
A tool that can do this is called : Ervius Package Creator
Simply open the tool and open a cab file, then convert it to oem and there you go, your own oem file.
Then place the folder into the folder OEM and youre ready to go.

I have downloaded the kaiser kitchen, but in the whole process no Ervius Package_Tools comes up. Also the dos prompt at the start is different.
That is why i ask here, cause the tutorial isnt updated anymore for the latest kaiser kitchen

I'm using the kaiser kitchen for almost a week now, so yes it will repack it good for the diamond as I flashed a lot of ROMS with my personal (created) OEM package's trying to amke them integrated into my personal rom.
In Kaiser Kitchen u can choose: <p> create a oem package
Also, in the directory of the kitchen there is a folder TOOLS, in this folder you would also find "packages creator 5.4.exe" wich is Ervius Package_Tools or option <m> in the menu.
be sure the kitchen is in the root of your drive(like C:\Kaiser ) otherwise file names could be to long.

Rom Creation steps:
Your completed kitchen folder should have:
SYS Folder (Download from post 2)
OEM Folder (Included in kitchen on post 1)
ROM Folder (Download from post 2)
Tools Folder (Included in kitchen on post 1)
.BAT file for running build os (Included in kitchen on post 1)
- Edit: mxipupdate_zzPIED_100.provxml in OEM\OEMVERSION folder to put rom information.
- Edit: initflashfiles.dat in OEM_Lang_0409 folder to set directory structures and some shortcuts and folders.
- To set your custom boot screen replace: SYS\Base_Lang_0409_DPI_96_RESH_240_RESV_320\welcomehead.96.png
- To set background set SYS\base_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320\Default_stwater_240_320.gif
- To Create Final Rom!! - After all oem's are added into oem folder run BuildNB.bat in kitchen folder.
- To set rom date:
Hex Edit os-new.nb file before creating nbh and search 2007 in nb file and set according date in first two places that come up.
Sys and ROM is your build for Windows Mobile. Technicall you can mix different rom and sys folders, I.E. ROm from 19213 and SYS from 20753. OEM is the drivers and various add ons.

How can you difference a module from a file... easy... module is a .dll or an .exe or some images but transformed to files like S000 or similar names, why to convert a file to a Module..? thats because the modules exist cause they are stored in other partition of the NAND memory of our devices... to run faster and get some more RAM or storage to dispose.
in some posts before this I wrote one, where we have said wich folders from the SYS can be deleted and dont makes issues at boot. check it!

When to use OEM and when to use EXT:
OK, the OEM folder wil be processed always! so here you will add the changes that you wish to the UI of the OS... some drivers... and the addons... this cant be skiped!
the EXT folder always will be processed but:
WHe you set on the .bat file Premium... Basic... Vanilla... all the ext packages must to have this files inside "_only_Premium" "_only_Basic" "_only_Vanilla" and the kitchen will recognize wich apps must be on Basic Premiun or Vanilla if you palce two or three files... you indicates to the Kitchen that the app must be installed on whatever build you will do.
This file can be created like this:
Make a new txt file and name it as you wish "_only_XXXXX" (XXX for the build flavor you want) inside you must to type the word "TRUE" without the quotes of course.... then save it... and erase its file extension it will say are you sure! the file could be inservible or something like that.
How to control the initial customization or setup to run the cabs:
well, if you go to this address
C:\HERMES_21222\OEM\COMMON
you will find this folder "OEMOPERATORS" inside you will find all the cabs taht will be installed after the first boot or HR, how to change them?
easy... as the SD config... there is a file called config.txt so... change the values or add a new one with the new cab you wish to install.
Insert inside the folder OEMOPERATORS the cab you want and make it HIDE on file properties to hide it on the windows folder
how to change the default cantact manager?
well the contact manager we use in this Kitchen is stored on the EXT packages find it... and change the "_only_premium" file to "_skip" and this contact manager shouldnt be installed... but remmember to add the default one in OEM or EXT, this depends on wich you find or you can made from a cab to OEM or from the OEM to EXT, there are tools that can help you make this and some tutorials here on XDA that teachs you how to do it...
The sip can be changed too in EXT just found the skin there ina folder and change the file to _skip and add your new sip collor... or get another sip and add it as EXT or OEM.
If everything is ok... run the .bat and wait a little.

yea dude, my way is the noob way.. i'm telling you, it is better if you learn the manual way of cooking but i've designed this so you can drop files, edit specific points, and the run .bat and whammo you have a rom.

I just downloaded myself and extracted fine..
may need to put at root c:\ directory to extract due to file paths being too long.

1 Kitchen folder is were everything goes.
REQUIRED
Kitchen folder should have:
SYS
OEM
ROM
Tools
.BAT file for running build os
Sys and ROM is your build for Windows Mobile. Technicall you can mix different rom and sys folders, I.E. ROm from 19213 and SYS from 20753. OEM is the drivers and various add ons.
Edit:: Kitchen attached on post 1 comes with working oem folder already.
Please keep the questions coming as i can add to post 1 and 2 to better explain the process. Also anything i can do to help, let me know.

ok so say i download a oem app extract it do i just put it in the oem folder and say i wish to remove net 3.5 would i just delete the folder out of the sys folder thanx.

PACKAGE_AltTab_0000:
Adds "Alt-Tab" functionality (program switching) under the Start menu.
PACKAGE_Opera_Mini_4_2_0000:
Installs Opera Mini 4.2 on your Diamond and also creates a shortcut on the Start menu. It is recommended that the Esmertec Jbed 20080912 package is selected or else the shortcut may not work (see the next package).
PACKAGE_VGA_Esmertec_Jbed_20080912_5_1_0000:
Thanks to trueg for pointing this version out to me. It is one of the first versions of Jbed that allows you to resize the tiny fonts in Opera Mini, among other things.
PACKAGE_TouchHD_EnglishOnly_Keyboard_0000:
Touch HD Keyboard, English only. Similar to Diamond keyboard but with left/right/up/down soft keys below the keyboard. Files are based on the multi-language CAB by sblop at this link; I simply took out the appropriate files and registry keys, reducing the size significantly.

1. Be Sure you have Developers HardSPL Flashed to your Phone before you start Cooking.
In the Folder "Tools\SPL's" you will find three versions of these.
2. The Kitchen is not set up to use a specific Radio nor do i Advice any as Radio performance can differ from Operator To Operator
A Collection of Radio's can be found in the folder "Tools\Radio's"
3. The Kitchen does not include the OS.NB anymore because it was getting to big. Fortunatly Modilv has the LEGO Kitchen Thread Kitchen Thread Where He Provides two OS.NB versions in his Rapidshare Folder.
Download either the 8MB Pagepool version or the 12MB Pagepool version and then drop the OS.NB into the "\Rom\" folder.
4. The Kitchen has three Language Options to choose from when it Begins.
1 for English (not working yet) 2 for German & 3 For Dutch (Not Working Yet).
5. After Choosing your language Disable or Enable extra options in the BUILDOS screen and then Press Play. If you get errors during this process please post them in this thread. After BUILDOS is finished Close the Build OS window and it will continue do to it's job until the Flash to you phone Screen comes up, so Flash it.
6. Flashing Roms to your phone is always risky, no matter how much precautions i have taken, everything that goes wrong is also your responsibility. If your not that familiar with the process the advice is to not tick OF more then the already preselected options.
If you want the kitchen to keep using your preferred packages you have to edit the Corresponding language file in the Options folder.
If your making an English Rom edit the EN.xml file in notepad.
Look up the option you want preselected in BuildOS (The Kitchen) and change the value from False to True (or the other way around).
Don't forget to also to put True into the correspondant Language Option.
0407 for German 0409 for English 0413 for Dutch.
For German edit the DE.xml and for Dutch NL.xml

Q: I tried the 'connectionSetupAuto' package and it did nothing - is this package meant to be
used in conjunction with the 'connectionSetup' package? Connection Setup on its own
works fine.

At the moment i put all commands into one start up script, but that makes separate and COMPLETE OEM packages impossible. As disabling one Package in the Kitchen, still leaves the Command in the start up mortscript to create the shortcut.
This is not just for my own convenience, but for building a kitchen that can be used by every NOOB, that contains optimized and clean Packages.
This way i can put the creation of .lnk files into that package it's RGU file.
If it could also unzip and Change attributes through this script using registry values it would even be better.
I know there's someone out there that can cook this one up.

Script has been adjusted.
It now reacts to if a file is present in Rom and then reacts to that taking into account the MUI localization.

Package Submittal
If there's an app or package that you think would be a good one to include in the kitchen you can always submit it.
Here's what you need to take into account.
1. If the package does not need an RGU, you don't need to include it.
2. The RGU and DSM files need to be hand made.
Make a blank .txt file. Go to http://www.famkruithof.net/uuid/uuidgen get a new UID, Rename the text file and extension with the UID number and .dsm extension.
(Ervius Packages sometimes don't work correctly)
Make a blank text file again and rename it to the new UID name and .rgu extension. Make sure you resave the RGU file as Unicode. (that is only if you need the RGU file.
3. When the package is complete. Drop the Package Folder onto the BuildDSM.exe in the tools folder. (be sure that Initflashfiles and option.xml are temporary removed from package when you do this)
Some more explanations about Mortscript installation.
As we try to Use as few as possible files in the rom and also make accommodate with the three language.
The way to create a link to a program has a little trick to it so it installs into the correct directory for the language.
Beneath is an example:

As shellres.dll.0413.mui only exists in a Dutch rom this particular shortcut will only be created in a Dutch rom.
Also when a directory does not exist, MORT will not install a link into it.
So i added the MakeDir command first.
Two other variables of the script are needed so it supports German and English.
Now if the file did not need to go into the sub dir Applicaties

The Brilliance of the Kitchen is because of all those other People that have worked on it, i just made it a bit more Noob Proof with some very amateuristic adjustments of the batch files.

Well it's better then making a WWE Dutch or German ROM.
All the OS parts can be ported from newer WWE builds instead of Porting Localization to a newer WWE build.

IMPORTANT! Builds after 21900 have the ADC driven network auto-config so you will need to disable any call to Configuration_Network.cab in your SDConfig.txt. Otherwise you get 2 different prompts to setup your network provider (which doesn't break anything it is just redundant )

Sorry for the false-start everyone but there were some major issues that I have resolved with 23060 so I felt it best to just re-package and replace.
Following changes to 23060:
Now using native GWES (have instead rebuilt theme files to mitigate "PushButton" bug)
Fixed phantom "MSAlarms" shortcut and many other Start Menu icon glitches from new initflashfile.dat
Changed MortScript registration to run once (only) during first boot AutoRun (no more pop up on every boot)
Disabled ASyncKiller and AutoDLGkiller as they were not saving as much memory as they were using (autoHibernate still included)
Modified the Visual Kitchen HTCRT scripting to properly support WWE or FRA nbh builds (and support for Splash1 & Splash2 screen nb files)
NOTE: With the new MortScript install, you will get that familiar popup on the first boot just AFTER Date/Time/Password config and BEFORE the SDAutoRun starts, so it will wait until you tap it to continue and start installing cabs from your SDConfig.txt (it will eventually time out and continue by itself but that will take like 1-2min - best to just tap it yourself)

I have ported the latest COM3 build (23060) into the kitchen, replaced the dialler with Diamond style canvas (to fix invisible "dialing number" bug) and used the latest initflashes.dat (new MSFT startmenu layout changes).

RELEASE (23041.5.3.0): 10-09-2009
This is my P3600i release of Chanvi's 23041 Trinity Kitchen. I have used my own VK1.8.1/HTCRT kitchen but the SYS is CHanvi's and EXT is pretty much still the same as previous releases. I have added some "Mods" under EXT\Shared\ that are kinda necessary in this new 6.5.1 UI, and I rebuilt the Applications panel in Titanium using the layout from CLauncher instead (Chanvi had been recycling the WelcomeCenter panel but this seems to have issues now). I also did some extra module->file conversion to free up a little more virtual memory in Slot 0 (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it )
Be warned, we are now into the COM3/COM4 branches which means WM 6.5.x and all the chunky new UI and fonts that go with it.
NOTE: IF YOU TRY TO CHOOSE ANY OF THE THEMES OTHER THAN CLASSIC BLUE IT WILL BREAK THE NEW 6.5.x UI
(MSFT are changing the UI slightly every build right now and they are only bothering to make Classic Blue work properly. Search XDA and you can also find a few custom themes that have been rebuilt to suit 2304x builds.)

Adding your own cab files to the Kitchen
It is quite simple to create your own EXT Build with the Kitchen, and even include CABs of your own into that build.
First you need to convert your CAB into an OEM Package Folder to include it in the kitchen.
Download the Kitchen Converter bundle (by Da_G) and unzip it.
Copy your CAB file(s) (eg: "My_App.cab") into that Kitchen Converter folder (you can do multiple cabs)
Run CAB2NEWKITCHEN.bat and you will get a folder that is the unpacked version of each of your CAB files. eg: folder called "My_App" (which has an app.dat file with file/dir layout and app.reg with registry keys for the app).
Then you need to grab the latest Kitchen, make a new EXT build folder (rom recipe) and add your "My_App" folder to it.
Download the Latest (eg: 21900) Kitchen for P3600i and unzip it with 7zip
Go into the folder Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\
Make a copy of whichever build folder is the same name as the precooked rom you wanted to add your cab(s) to, and name it accordingly.
eg: copy "6IEMANTIT" and rename it "6IEMTMYAPP" (call it whatever you want but probably best keep it under 10 char)
Get the "My_App" package folder we made earlier and copy it into your new ext build folder (inside subfolder "P3600i_External_Packages").
eg: copy "My_App" into "Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\6IEMTMYAPP\P3600i_External_Packages\"
Now you just need to run the Kitchen and build your ROM. If you are using Vista/Win7 then there might be some issues here ... I think you can do it if you run the kitchen as Admin, but there are other threads that will explain that. Also, you might need to temporarily disable runtime antivirus shielding (my builds would randomly crash right at the end otherwise).
Go to the Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I folder and run erviuskitchen.exe
Choose DEVICE = P3600I
Choose Language = 0409 (or 040C for Francais)
Choose EXT Build = 6IEMTMYAPP (or whatever you have called your build)
Click "Create ROM" button on the top left of window
If the build succeeds you will end up with the ROM Update utility being started and prompting you to plug in your phone, etc (just like when you download a pre-cooked rom). You can proceed straight into flashing your new rom or hit cancel.
The cooked ROM (and update utlity) will all be in the RELEASE_P3600I folder of the kitchen. Copy that whole folder somewhere and rename it accordingly (eg: "WWE_21815_6IEMTMYAPP_P3600I" ). There is your own cooked rom.

21900 ROMs assume that you have a UC (SDConfig.txt on Storage Card) setup that will install and run Configuration_Network.cab (auto config provider settings) [NOT NEEDED AFTER 21900]. Including P3600i_BT_Fix.cab is also recommended.

Yes, you are correct ... there appear to be a few links (on "Applications" panel) to apps that are not installed: cleanRAM, HTC Album, HTC Audio Manager & YouTube (plus the link to PIM Backup has a bad path in it).
The Task Manager link in the root of the Start Menu has a bad path but the one in "Start Menu\Tools" is working correctly.
I will repost the mxip_WWE_CHome_Programs.provxml tomorrow (to fix the path for PIM Backup ... and maybe replace other broken links with apps that are installed).
As for the missing apps ... you could install them via cabs or (in the kitchen) add their oem package folders to the 6IEQMTIT build folder and recook the rom.
I think I will probably recook 6IEQMTIT myself (fixing all these things) and just update the link ... stay tuned

oh, ok ... don't normally use MMS so I hadn't tested. Will check it out.
EDIT: Sorry, MMS seems to be working just fine for me ... have you definitely got your provider settings in there?

Or does it not include your particular telco Operator? What country/operator are you on?

Yes, I am in the middle of converting it right now
However ... I am reading some disturbing feedback in there about SMS/email messages not opening and such ... delaying my release of the P3600I version until I see what Chanvi says about it.
I still have a little bit of work left to do with making all of my own tweaks for the QMTIT2 build that I will include. I had just got them all nicely polished with 21900 and now the CHome launcher structure has changed (now running apps from CLinks instead of CWelcomeCenter) so I have to repeat the process for the new CLinks reg keys and CPR files.
Without these changes, the modified version of TitaniumWeather 4.2 will not show up. Also the new apps panel is all in french right now so I would have to edit it anyway, lol
I might even post a pre-cooked test NBH just to get some feed back before I post up the Kitchen (it is kinda annoying that the current 21900 Kitchen I am hosting requires so many "fixes" to be applied ... depending on how 23001 turns out I am tempted to post a "SP1" release of the 21900 Kitchen just to tidy things up).
While I am still at this stage, does anyone have any specific requests for the Kitchen, ext builds and/or precooked roms?

Why and how to get rid the "face plate (flashed warning)" every time after reboot. The indication as follows "MortScript v4.3b5" discription as ".mscr and .mortrun extensions registered. Please run any .mscr/.mortrun file or read the manual.

Try delete Mortscript.lnk in Windows-StartUp , i think it need only one time to activate , but not sure , so move this .lnk to another place fir try .

I'm Australia - Telstra - NextG.
The connection auto-config did not appear to run, and there is no auto select Telstra option or similar.

It was always something that the cv93+oggi roms had in the "postinstall" folder (many versions ago) and I still run that on all my roms (just hadn't thought to mention it in this thread .. sorry ).
If you haven't got that cab then you need to run it. It will setup all the gprs/mms network config for your carrier.

Unfortunately I did not have that .cab set to go, but have installed it now and MMS is back running.
Other than that, this ROM is fast, low memory footprint, well set out and a pleasure to use.
I would love to see the tweaks from Schap's Advanced Config, under Power Management applied as part of upcoming ROMs that you may generate.
This is due to the ROM "appearing" to be a little battery hungry until you apply the power settings like AsyncMAC, IrSIR, PPTP and L2TP to enabled.
