There any rom compatible with LG MS20(a brazillian version of KS20 without 3G, WIFI and front camera) the others specifications like processor is the same Qualcomm MSM7200 400Mhz, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, the frequency is the same too, But i don't know if a can install the KS20 ROM, if i try may i can brick my phone?Or there a way to i extract my rom to you modify?
You can use any rom from KS20, it's the same phone, with the 'same' hardware.
PS: processor is not the same one. MS20/MS25 use MSM7200 250mhz, and KS20 use the same MSM7200 but its 400mhz.
But, if don't work, i can go back and reflash the original rom?
Sorry for the double post
Ok, i found the engineer menu, the ROM Version is V10a, and i wanna try upgrade, make a tutorial(if possible in portuguese) to upgrade the phone without lost the nv2, imei number, i am newbie on flashing wm phones, so please make a detailed tutorial to all people of Brazil. And the KS20 WM6.5 rom works perfectly on MS20?
Sorry, but anyone can do a tutorial to install the windows mobile 6.5 in the MS20/KS20.

contacted imeicheck-people about wrong model ID flashing htc rom.
here their answers:
Hello,
you are wrong. For sure you try to flash a NOT compatible firmware.
It sounds like you try to flash HTC Artemis firmware on a HTC Hero or vice versa.
The HTC Artemis has different chipset inside (it has additional WiFi chipset) than the HTC Hero. (In case you just try to enable WiFi on a Hero... the WiFi chipset is missing, no firmware/software can replace a missing chipset + antenna)!
>From outside both devices look same but inside they have different hardware.
Flashing a ROM from another device most likely will cause serious damage to it.

and just a second later
Hello,
up to now only T-Mobile sells the HTC Hero (the version without WiFi).
Nevertheless you have the following options:
- flash any HTC Hero version you like (T-Mob-UK-English, T-Mob-GER-German, T-Mob...)
- to skip installing the "nice" T-Mobile branding immediately skip the installation of Extended ROM (a message comes up: "Please wait, device will configure in 3 seconds") after hard reset by sticking in "Reset".
We opened HERO device and it is missing the WiFi chipset. So we gave up to try to flash HTC Artemis ROM since there is no real reason to risk a device.
Regards,
IMEI-CHECK Team
It this possible? "missing the WiFi chipset"?????
If chip is BlueLink 6.0 Platform: BRF6350(Bluetooth®,FM,WLAN) herehttp://focus.ti.com/general/docs/wtbu/wtbuproductcontent.tsp?templateId=6123&navigationId=12659&contentId=14646
then it is one chip!!!
Maybe WLAN Antena is not inserted?
Or it is another chip?
Lets wait some more - there must be a good reason for the Dutch MDA with WLAN ... not sure if that unlocking-company is correct ...
any dutch owners around?
whats your device id?
HTC = arte100
T-Mobile = arte110
O2 = arte200
if its not arte110, chance are 0 to succeed with flashing
dutch artemis here
I have a dutch Artemis with vendor id ARTE110. tmobile mda3.
Imei check is wrong... It has WiFi capabilities and in the dutch rom it's activated. It's the same device inside.. just another ID. I also unlocked the device with their services (imei-check) and it's not flashable with the ARTE100 rom..
Rom version: 1.13.114.1 NLD
Radio 02.49.90
Can you do a dump of the Dutch ROM?

Althought I beleive the "guts" of the HTC Artemis are based on the TCS3500 chipset from TI, the Bluelink chip is not used. The technical specification (page 201 of the HTC Artemis user guide) says that the FM radio is served by Silicon Lab's Si47001 chip.

It seems tmobile requested a different ARTE code this to prevent us from installing other ROM'S. The dutch code is ARTE110 as wel (I own one) but it has all the capabilities of the ARTE100, adding one and one this device is the same as the arte100. THis would mean if we can rewrite the software for the rom upgrades to take All ARTEXXX codes we will be able to excange roms. Its just a number.
I think t-mobile did this to stop us unbranding our devices the easy way: loading HTC / Qtek Roms thereby increasing the second hand value.
Its probably merely time that keeps us away from loading roms from different vendors.
... well,
in oder to prove this wrong or wright, we simply need to get our hands on a dutch rom (-upgrade). all of us having cid-unlocked our gadgets should be able to install this then and we should have wlan--- or not!
wifi
hi dunno if this helps but when the tmobile customisation kicks in it says remove btlnk as part of the customisation

we need a dutch rom to experiment further!!!
Dutch Extended Rom and some Windows files
Good day, please find attached the files in my Extended Rom with 2 additional files from the windows folder on my device.
Hope this might do some tricks on the WIFI problems.....
The Windows WIFI.zip inside the main zip file are the 2 files from the windows folder on my device. Might there by any other files needed, please let me know!

Any news yet on the WIFI issue?
i am sorry to say, but all this seems rather pointless.
i managed to install:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/ARTE_DOPODAU_12570702_026990_WWE_SHIP.exe
which, afa we know, is complete with all wifi stuff, and it doesnt supply me with wifi on my hero(no wlan chip).

Good day,
While scrolling through my files, found the following link in \windows\startup
WiFiInit.lnk which points to WiFiInit.exe in \windows\
(see attached )
This might startup the whole wifi stuff at boot......
Please let me know if anything changed in the situation
i have MDAc 3 with flashed original HTC software and wifi dont work pda crash but original software is nice and quickly then t-mobile's OS
Hi,
To thormdac are you try to install rom from htc p3300 ftp://[email protected]/Ar...dates/ART_HTCWWE_11240501_026790_WWE_Ship.exe
Because rom ftp://xda:[email protected]/ARTE_DOPODAU_12570702_026990_WWE_SHIP.exe is with disable wifi
I'm sure that mda compact III have wifi - we need to install rom from ARTE100 OR ARTE200 not from ARTE110.

Hello everyone, I'm from China and I got a new CDMA 1X Pocket PC Phone which runs on WM 6.0. But I don't know the hardware of this device. It's an engineering sample. What I know is that this device use Intel PXA 27X CPU.
In this case, how can I dump the rom of this device?
If not, is it useful or helpful for anyone who doing the research of CDMA device in order to make WM 5.0 runs on Harrier(CU928 in China)?
Hi All,
I had lot of difficulty searching for different articles on how to upgrade my Indian Airtel Locked 2G Diamond to any of the NON-HTC ROMs.
Doubts were in mind as to which version of HardSpl, Radio will work with 2G Indian Diamond, whether Airtel lock has to be removed before upgrade, whether i'll brick my phone if i did not unlock it, so and so forth..
Hence i thought i'll share whatever i did to make my Diamond faster:
STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO UPGRADE INDIAN 2G AIRTEL LOCKED DIAMONDS:
Before going to any steps please note that whenever you use the RUU (HardSpl / Radio / ROM) please wait till the install is over, do not disconnect your cable / active sync connection or use the phone.. Sometimes u may not see activity on the PC/Phone, just wait and wait and all will be fine, u touch the diamond & it may get bricked!!
This tutorial has nothing to do with Unlocking from Airtel Network, and after doing a ROM upgrade your phone is still locked to Airtel only..
There is no need to unlock your Airtel Locked Diamond before going ahead with these steps:
Step1:
BACKUP:
Backup all your files, contacts, sms, PIM etc.. (I used PIM Backup v2.8)
Tip: The internal Storage does not get formatted unless you do a hard reset (anytime later after upgrade), still i recommend to backup your Internal storage.. just in case.., then use Sprite Backup, to backup in total..
Step2:
CHANGE TO HARDSPL FROM SPL:
SPL is like BIOS of your computer, HardSpl is a customised BIOS (Like HP bios may not allow u to tweak ur computer fully, the SPL does not allow custom non HTC ROMs)
To change SPL to HardSPL, use Olinex 1.40 Unsigned, also called Unsigned Olinex HardSPL Developer Edition
From this page download - Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip (1.92 MB, 21113 views)
Please read details of what to do and what not to do during HardSPL on this page.
Tips:
Check whether your SPL is Changed to HardSPL by going into bootloader screen - Press [Vol Dwn] & [RESET] simultaneously to enter bootloader screen
Dont go to step3 unless you have changed to HardSPL & confirmed it on the bootloader screen
Step3:
CHANGE RADIO:
Radio is the sofware that is used to control all the connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) & Phone (Which Band/ 3G/2G etc) functions
To change the Radio you have to do two things:
1. Download Custom RUU (A software to install your Radio - Like windows installer) 2. Selected Radio file
Dowload Custom RUU from here
2. Download radio from here, i preferred to use v1.00.25.05, now on v1.00.25.08
Please read details of what to do and what not to do while changing Radio on this page.
3. Extract both files into one single folder & install on your Diamond
Tips:
Changing the Radio is like getting a permission to install unofficial ROM, it wont remove Airtel Lock..
Check whether your Radio is Changed to desired version by doing a soft reset
Dont go to step4 unless you have changed & confirmed the desired Radio version with Soft Reset
Step4:
CHANGE ROM:
You can choose any unofficial ROM to install but as our Indian Diamonds are different (2G), you should be doubly sure that the ROM you select does not include a Radio (Coz all other radios will be 3G) Of course most of the ROM are devoid of Radios and SPL, but also most famous ROM cookers mention what their ROM contains and what it doesnt..
a. Select & Download a ROM, just install it..
b. Some ROMs need you to install it through RUU utility
c. Hard Reset the device once you have finished installing the ROM and make your Diamond a faster & cutomised machine..
Step 'c' is very important for your diamond to work properly
Please read details of what to do and what not to do while changing ROM on this page.
Tip:
I used SwiftBl 6.5... works like charm and flawless.., also used Dutty's ROM - not my cup of tea, as there were no updates of SwiftBL after 05/10/08, now i'm on Pistonripper.. Fast & Furious..!!
Step5:
RESTORE:
Restore from PIM Backup / Sprite Backup..
Thanks to many friends & posts who helped me use an XDA SITE ROM..
This post is mainly for my indian diamondwala counterparts & are only the main steps in brief, and mainly to mention what versions worked flawlessly on 2G version..
Please refer to more details espcially THIS post which gives very detailed account of upgrading..
Hope this post helps few..
Seniors / Moderators please read the article and if mistakes then point out.. I have used simple understandable words for newbies like me..

do u mean that diamonds supplied by airtel are physically stripped off of 3G or is it just a software restriction?
Yes, Indian Diamonds dont have a 3G chip itself, if you look at indian website specs, the processor is different from rest of the world i.e. MSM7206A, while rest of the world it is MSM7201A (MSM7206A = MSM7201A - 3G Chip)
So there's a clearly different hardware..
keeping aside 3G & Quad band , the indian diamond is same as international, right?
Using a 3G 900/2100 Diamond in India...
Many thanks for this thread....very helpful
For a 3G diamond 900/2100 + Tri band GSM...will the Quadband radio v1.00.25.05 work?....
Will the 3G diamond work with this Radio in Europe where UMTS 2100 exists?
What will be the best cooked ROM for such a config? SwiftBl 6.5?
Thanks in advance...
@ karkalanand
hey man i'm lil confused here......i was reading through this thread and came to see that boinger66 claims maybe the indian version has 3g capability , what do u think ?
Indian diamond => 3G?
@blufade
Check these links...found the 7201A specs but not the 7206A ones...dunno why?...

http://www.jaganath.net/content/mobile/should-you-buy-the-htc-touch-diamond-in-india/210
Surely confusing unless someone flashes using the 3G radio and goes out of India ...to check it out...very expensive test...
btw, does the airtel diamond have gps chip ?
yes it does have GPS .. all the same only its 2G ..
thanks fr the help guys
btw, has any of u guys in india managed to get a pouch for your diamond ?
thats all quickgps does... it downloads information that would help your gps get a faster fix... you need a gps software to actually use ur gps....for eg, navigating softwares for use in india - satnav (www.satnavtechnologies.com/), mapking, inav (http://inav.mapmyindia.com/) ... Or even offroad navigation softwares like Gps Tuner
is it possible to get the simlock back to the phone ???

Sure enough I'll be flashing my India 2G Diamond (DIAM140) in the next few days with the info given. I think I'm ready after reading for 2 weeks straight.
I'll be leaving from Iraq in Oct. to go to Kuwait, then in Nov. will be headed to Germany, then taking my R&R Leave to the US.
I'll let you guys know how everything works out when I get to the states with it.
Got it on the first try
Hey I gotta say thanks you guys on this site rock.
I'm a N00b and came to this site reading and just getting info for 2 weeks straight and today was able to flash the unsigned hardspl, 1.00.25.05 radio, and swiftbls rom and to my suprise I had no issues. Reading and following directions is what I'm use to in the Army lol and that helped out. Thanks everyone.
Couple of things, it shouldnt matter what the red lettering says when i turn the device on right as long as the tri-color screen says olinex 1.40?
Now i will continue to look through this ROM and if i have any problems I'll read then ask questions if i can't find it.
Hooah. Thanks alot again for the indian diamond tutorial!!!
congrats justo81
now that u've upgraded , any noticable improvement in performance ?
Oh yes lots of notable improvments in performance. When switching to different screens there isnt that lag that was there. The time it use to take my calls to connect on the old radio is reduced now. Almost like I'm in the states and I'm calling people from Iraq!! lol
Still searching in the forums to get GPS working with google maps. Doesnt seem to want to locate the bird (satellite) when I know the direction of most of them cause I'm a commo guy and we log on them on the time
Overall. I'm glad I upgraded and look forward to exploring and adding some more apps with this device

Hi.
First of all, sorry for my english but I'm portuguese. I have a TMN Silverbelt, a custom phone made by ZTE for the portuguese company TMN. This is the link of the store: tinyurl.com/yaagpb4
This phone comes with WM 6.5.3 Professional. I don't like the Windows Mobile, so I was wondering if it's possible to install Android on this phone. It has a Qualcomm 7225 ARM1136EJ-S at 528 Mhz and 256MB Flash + 256MB RAM. Is this possible? And if so, what software do I need to install or how do I do it?
Thanks and keep the good job ;D

Sorry, but there is much more easier way to do it. Sell your phone, and buy android phone...
But I can't sell this phone because it's associated to my mobile "account" on the phone operator here in Portugal. But it's possible to do this?
Another TMN BlueBelt user here. =)
I would also like that, but I don't really think it's possible.
I got my gw825v in HK recently, for there are many bugs in it's rom,I want to update it right now.But some said 825V can't ues expo/IQ'rom,is that true?
You should be able to flash the stock expo 10g rom to it.
To the best of my recollection however, the attempts to get a custom rom built for it were unsuccessful. I think it was the flashing process and not the building process, but I was mostly just a spectator.
If you ask really nicely, Dark may be willing to try again with roms for it if you're willing to help.
The attempts/results can be found here:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/re-how-to-flash-your-expoiq/
I regret buying a 825v from HK,even though i'm a Chinese,i'd rather have a English IQ/EXPO than a Traditional Chinese 825v.There are bugs,no roms.
hi there
I also use LG GW825V bought in HK and tried flashing the rom Dragonstorm 23134 - eXpo.exe
but it turned out a screen told me neccessary info not found
I am using official v10d ROM download from LG HK site. but im very disappointed with the software came with the phone, most these were useless and wasting storage spaces.
the LG idle could not customise shortcuts, it uses the slow IE even i set the Opera browser as default browser
the SPB traveler is absolutely useless
the Sprite backup and CE Ctar(for chinese input) were jokes. i tried using sprite backup and it said failed and required me to uninstall CEstar first. but all those preinstalled software could not be uninstalled. i even had to waste more storage to install some more storage to make the phone to work more handy.
it is also silly that the connection setting with service provide could not be changed

It isn't possible to flash custom roms for the eXpo or IQ to the GW825v due to the way the custom roms are built. There is something preventing it on this phone. However, you can flash official eXpo or IQ roms. Here is a link to the latest eXpo rom.

thanks, i am downloading now.
actually now i dont see any major bugs with the official HK region ROM (v10d), i have installed the FakeSIP programme to correct the silly bug that the on screen keyboard auto jumps out when i slide out the hardware keyboard, and the MobileSense UI to the ROM memory, and now got around 56mb free program memory after reset.
others says they had trouble in sending SMS but it's all fine for me. i just hate the original rubbish softwares.
if the custom ROMs you guys cooked could not be put onto my phone i think i would rather stay with the current HK v10d ROM than to risk try the official US rom, because first of all i am afraid i would not be able to flash back to HK rom as the version is older than the US one, in case the US rom doesnt suit me or i need to bring the phone to repair. but i do need to thanks you guy's effort and help so far
in turn, is there any way i could extract the HK rom and do something with it myself to remove the rubbish pre-installed software? like the LG Idle, LG menu, spb traveller, CE Star(chinese input software) and those pre-installed ringtones and wallpapers..... is it really impossible for us?
Thanks
it's good to be back! my 825v work well with a 10g rom though it's a English rom.but my contacts could not display for the form of Chinese number is not the same as American number while my software regard my bluetooth as GPS.
I believe I have figured out how to build ROMs for the GW825V.
The LG Kitchen only required a few minor changes.
I will be posting a test ROM in the next few days that will be unified. That means it should work on the GW820, GW825 and GW825V.

Was there anything other than the dzcreate.ini additions you needed to do?
When you're building the flasher, which radio are you using? Have you tried the other radios on your iq? In my own cooking I always used the iq radio, as the Dragonstorm roms had different expo and iq radios; and I figured Dark knew better than I.
Yes, the only changes I needed to make to the kitchen was to the dzcreate.ini.
Here's the break down.
When flashing, you need the flashing application, the ROM file (dz) and matching dll.
There are 4 dll files....
GW820WR.dll (eXpo v10d), GW825WR.dll (IQ v10c), GW820WR.dll (eXpo v10g) & GW825VWR.dll (GW825v v10d).
GW825WR.dll only works on the LG IQ since it does a model check and fails if it detects anything other than the GW825.
GW820WR.dll (v10d) only works on the LG eXpo (same reason as above).
GW820WR.dll (v10g) & GW825VWR.dll work on any LG Monaco device, but the FLASH.bin has to be split (thus the needed changes to dzcreate.ini). Custom ROMs wouldn't work on the GW825v because we were trying to use the wrong DLLs and when we used the right DLL, the ROM wasn't built properly (split).
You can flash the stock GW820 (v10d) ROM to you GW825 if you use your GW825WR.dll. You can flash the stock GW825v & GW820 (v10g) ROMs to your GW825 using either the GW820 (v10g) or GW825v DLLs.
In order to build a ROM that works 100% using the GW825v as a base, I had to use the GW825v OEMXIPKernal, OEMDrivers, OEMDriversHigh and source files.
By using the GW825v as a base, we gain 7 MB of RAM and 7 MB of storage.
I haven't tried swapping the different radios between ROMs to see which is better, but they all work on our GW825.
A Little Help Please Guys

Yes, you should be able to update it with AT&T v10g (English).
