hi!
I've installed PSShutXP and it works like a charm!
I was wondering how I can change the Power Button settings to assign PSShutXP to Power Button!
Registry? Tweak?
Thanks
I don't know if this would work on the TP2, but for the kaiser, you just go to psshutxp's folder (in program files if it's installed to your device) and copy the .exe, then go to the windows folder and make a shortcut and name it short_power or long_power depending on if you want it for just a short press or a long, delayed press. let me know if this works, I'd like to be able to still do this when I get my TP2
now working!

sorry just to clarify:
the shortcut I offered worked right?? I wanna know so that when I get the TP2 I can use shortcuts like that.
and does the power button actually turn the phone off?? cos when I installed psshutxp on my tilt the power button just turned the screen off. but it didn't turn the PHONE off
You can find an updated PSshutXP cab file that replaces the LongPowerButton press here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475762
Hi, i just looked at the homepage of psshutxp, however i fail to see what additional benefits i get from this program? Anything that this program does seems to be already built into the preinstalled software. Am i missing something here?

oh shoot it never occurred to me that the version you made for the Tilt wasn't the right resolution for the TP2. sorry Deiota!!!
I can't get the skins to work. I copied all the images to the application's folder but still getting the original screen. I even tried rebooting the TP2.

with this program you can make the jogger silence the ringtone, won't reject it unless you touch and hold it for 2 secs(you can change the duration or turn reject off) run it from your SD card or your device
http://rapidshare.com/files/23560774/DashConfig.exe.html
**note: it doesn't install to your start menu, you just run it from wherever you save it, each time. you can move it or make a shortcut of it in total commander and move it to the start menu to make it easier
and if you want an auto keylock you can go here and download AutoLock.
http://surrealnetworks.com/mpx/SDAapps.htm
I use automatic keylock program whith great screen saver and it works fine

The AutoLock program I posted does it. You can change it to say the time, date, missed calls, etc. And you can change the sizes of the font. I made my clock HUGE, so I can see it at work at a glance.
Hi,
Since SPB Pocket Plus is not really working with the Shadow, I decided to reflash from scratch and not to use it anymore. I got everything I need from other apps, exept for one very important function.
SPB Pocket Plus has a [Close] function that you can map to a button and it actually closes the app not just sends it in the background. I use the HTC task manager to do that on the screen, but I want to map it to a button button 5 to be exact I been searching for few hours now to no avail.
Basicly to review I need to be able to close (really close) apps with a hardware button (button 5). Please help. THank you.

It is bit slow the 1st time to bring up the start menu after a SR, after that seems ok.
@yozh
I mean Wisbar Lite, not Wizbar Advanced/desktop. you can't run that iphone theme with wisbar lite.
Another option (to map the CLOSE function) is AEB plus.
mortscript is a little too heavy for me

Is it just me, or am I the only one who has the actual '<close>' option in buttons in my Start>settings>buttons option? Has anyone looked?
That is what I use so I have it mapped to the usual CommManager wasted button since if you want CommManager you can simply keep the silly thing in your bar at the bottom.

As a relative Newbie to PDA customisation - in a number of Threads deatling cooked ROMs a number are offered with or without "Cube".
What is "Cube" and whatis the difference between ROM's with and without "Cube"?
btw - I recently down loaded the O2 Premium v2 w/o cube for my Orbit, no issues installing and working well, one or two minor issues, but easily overcome with a tweak of settings
Best way is to show it! See the cube?

hi all,
can someone please explain how you get the 'cube' to work?
I am running ARTEMIS TOUCH 3.01 WWE - FULL WITH CUBE and everything works OK except I cant see the cube even tho i have it enabled in the TouchFLO applet under system settings.
Thanks and excuse my ignorance... i'm kinda new at this updating ROM's stuff.

I’ve been looking through this forum for two days now and still can’t find a definitive answer to this question…
Is there any way you can modify the ‘Cube’ touchflow application so that it is a ‘proper’ cube with 4 sides ( i didn’t know you could have a cube with only 5 surfaces!! but i digress ) and add shortcuts on the new 'forth' side to launch your chosen applications?
Please can someone give a definitive answer thanks
can you point me in the direction of getting the cube to work - I'm where you were.....searched for tom's post can't locate it???

Along the bottom of the phone there's a home button and an endcall which, within programmes, seem to do the same thing - take you back to the today screen. Or, in my case the 6.5 CHome thingy. And the back button in most apps takes you to the home screen too - so that's three buttons largely doing the same thing most of the time.
The new phones with 6.5 preinstalled will have a windows-flag start menu button, I assume this will open up the new hexagony start menu.
Is there a way of remapping the home button so it launches the start menu instead?
That is EXACTLY what I have been thinking for the last days. Pressing Home-key should naturally bring up the start-menu.
Nice idea, even because reaching the top left corner with your right thumb(maybe for left handed it's easier ) while holding the HD with the right hand is a little bit tricky
I'd like something small to do this but I have a feeling most people will return with the suggestion "use aebplus to remap"
I have the same feeling wiggz, There must be a registry key or something that can be changed and put into cab format? Anyone got any ideas?

so as the home button is coded into manila it mean's one has to play with the manila files and remap to start menu all that would mean is to change some scripts!!
bottomline Home button in theory can be mapped to the start menu!! so it's plausible!!!
i'm going to watch this thread as well --- i've been looking for this since I got hold of my HD. I've already remapped the "back" button to S2U2 via AEB since you are correct, essentially the home, back, and end buttons all work very similarly.
Hoping that someone posts a solution to this!
i have the solution...install this program and you can change all the hard keys to do almost any function...i have mine set up to do the exact same thing that you want it to do!!
cheers!!

Thanks, but could give more informations to remap keys, please ? The list is empty when i launch the application ...
Same here. I was so happy when I found this thread..
When I tried installing that, it did not work... Maybe it was my ROM.
There are REG keys that remap home in certain cituations, i.e. manilla but I have yet to find a way to get the reg key to do anything else.
The new keypad.dll maps it to a normal vk_lwin, so you can remap it as you like.
Unfortunately I have not yet seen it an any ROM.

It is for Diamond and the author says here post 10 "For the touch HD, maybe you should download HTCAPI.DLL somewhere, put it in /Windows and try again". Haven't read the whole thread though so not sure if this is what the problem is.
i know its a little confusing to get it started...so heres what you do...install cab, go to program files\dredsensor and click on dredsensor.exe and a config.ini will appear...now close out whatever app you are using to view files...and open dredsensor...now you will see default under name...tap default and then click menu, then edit...change type to launcher...then go to click and tap the gray box next to the home key...go to events and chose Misc:Start, hit select, hit ok to comfirm, change whatever others you want to...then hit save, then hit ok to confirm...then hit exit...then you should be good to go...hope this helps!!

Hello.
Firts of all sorry for my bad english.
I know that there is enough applications like this, but I've decided to write my own application, as a beginning for learn embeded C++ and mobile devices development. So, because this is my first app. in such domain, please don't punch me .
May be "power manager" sounds hard, this app. do exactly the same as per example psShotXP, namely:
- turn off the screen of Your device
- put the device in suspended mode
- soft reset the device
- turn off the device (HTC devs.).
- turn on/off wifi
- turn on/off phone module
- turn on/off bluetooth (make discoverable/invisible)
- switch phone bands Auto-2G-3G
You also can create 4 shortcuts to the program with parameters:
0 - turn off the screen of Your device
1 - put the device in suspended mode
2 - soft reset the device
3 - turn off the device.
4 - turn on/off phone module
5 - turn on/off wifi
6 - turn on/off bluetooth
You can change the images of backrounds button separator and buttons, they will be located in "Images" folder after install. With one restriction: now the buttons are black, so if you change the back of main program, consider this ...
Remarks: To close the main window you must tap anywhere outside the buttons or in space between buttons. Also to close additional windows tap the Close button or empty space of window.
P.S.
Discoverable/invisible mode for bluetooth is working on Microsoft stacks, on broadcom is to be developped (works just on/off bluetooth)
P.S. Supported screen resolutions: QVGA (240x320), Square (240x240), SquareQVGA (320x320), VGA(480x640), Square VGA (480x480), WVGA (480x800)
Regards.

Hi.
By "PowerOffWarning" I want to say, that when You long-press the power button on device it seems that a program PowerOffWarning.exe (wich You can find in \wndows dri.) is launched, and You can see the message box "Power will be turned off ...".
This is not my discovery, this is a standard HTC feature ... and a found it here

Sorry, but ... why you are doing this ... You don't need to copy the program into windows, You can do this of course, but ... I think there is no need for ...
And about PowerOffWarning, I repeat that this is a HTC program, not mine, and if in \win. dir is no such file, the renaming of SVMPowerMgr to PowerOff will not help.
