andida 2000mah battery works with evo

i have the ebay andida 2000mah hero battery and i got a google io evo on friday. the model number of the stock hero battery is the same as the stock evo battery (despite the difference in color). also the battery sizes and power ratings are both the same. so i put the andida 2000mah battery in the evo and it works fine.
here is a link for reference:

does it fit without needing a replacement back cover?
yeah, the form factor is exactly the same
How much longer does it last compare to the stock battery?
This is awesome! I love my 2000mAh battery, and now I can bring it from my Hero to my Evo!

that is a good question nobody knows for sure, there are many opinions. it seems to last a bit longer, but i wouldn't say it's a huge improvement.
I'll bite! For $9.99, I'm willing to take a chance. Thanks for the link!
Lots of discussion about this battery on other forums. I found a website before (can't find it now though... duh!) that goes into great details on all the batteries made of this size, and this performed the worst of them iirc.
With that said I have it, and I think it performs about at a stock level, and for $10 it's hard to beat.
No better than stock
I have that battery in my TP2 and it does not perform any better than the stock 1500 mAh battery. I don't think I'd place too much stock in a Chinese battery company to calculate and give accurate mAh ratings. Good to know that I can keep my extra battery for the EVO though!
Yes it doesn't seem much better than the stock battery
for 10 bucs i grabbed one also..at least ill have an extra battery now..im sure ill need it,..
It was tested and its actually 1100 mAh. Lower than the stock battery.

+1 Yep.
If you guys are in the market for cheap replacement batteries grab two batteries plus an external charger from ebay for $10-$12. You will get the same life as that "2000 mAh battery" except you get two.... and a charger.

yeah something gets messed up in the measurement conversions lol
Right...we need to keep in mind that HTC is a German company...oh wait.
I clicked that link and up popped the 2 batts and charger for 9.98 shipped. I couldn't resist...so I have them now too. Thanks OP. I guess this means I am really giving up my iPhone...I have to pay the $70 ETF..but I guess I can keep the phone and try to sell it. I was so frustrated...3 months when I upgraded the software it fried my wifi and I was really hoping iOS4 would fix it..but to no avail...so as far as I'm concerned I guess it's EVO for me for the next 2 years... by the way..I got the limited edition seidio case off of Amazon...and I am lovin' it!

I don't really believe any battery that is the same size and claims to get more juice for that cheap. If it was easily (read: cheaply) done, HTC would have gone with it in the first place to help the all to often (with smartphones) "battery life" issue.
I have a 2300mAh battery for my G1, I know it's bigger because:
A) It has allowed the phone to last incredibly long.
B) It's almost twice as thick.

What is the Cheapest Extended Battery????

Okay, so it looks like im going to have to get an extended battery for this phone like everyone else. Even after a month I dont think it will be too much better on battery life. I wanted to know what is the cheapest slim battery around (dont want extended door or anything). I saw the sedio on amazon for 39 (1750 mah) and a mugen on ebay for 35 (1800 mah), isnt there anything better?
i was thinking to just maybe get 2 1500's with a charger, theyre on ebay for 10.99 shipped
I believe that the Hero battery also fits the EVO. I've got the 2000 mah battery that was posted I think in the hero forums. I believe it ran me about $13 shipped from china. First thing I do tomorrow is pop it into the evo to try it out.

That's what I'm doing. That way I don't have to get an extended door. And I have a hero which uses the same battery. I just charge one in the phone and then charge one in the charger at night. In the morning i put the extra battery into my wallet.

Can you give us a review of this battery? Does it last longer than the OEM? A link to it? Thanks.
I'm waiting for my EVO on the 2nd shipment and I'd also like to know as much as I can about any extended batteries that may work after reading all the reviews...
I'm interested in a second/extended battery as well...the way I'm going to be using this phone, I'll need it!
Heck, what's the best "fat" extended battery? If I need to be out and about then I don't mind trading size for battery life.
The sedio battery on amazon mentions extended battery life in the topic.

How is this different from the stock battery?>

Yet another battery question

I was looking around at the OEM batteries and I found an 1800mah OEM battery for the TP2. I was wondering if this would fit the Evo like the stock TP2 battery does. The picture of it looks a little different.
1800 mah hmmm got a link to said battery?

The bad is that the smaller print says it requires a larger battery door on the TP2 so I am not sure what it would need if it did fit the Evo.
hmm i dunno it looks shorter than the one that fits the evo but that may be the picture. Id say try it and report here!

Battery Choices

So, I have been looking all over the various stores (Sprint, Radio Shack, Ebay, Seidio), I bought a standard battery (the same mAh as my stock battery). The battery I purchased has about the same batter life (as expected about 6-9 hours depending upon usage of games and data) Looking over the extended life battery options I dont quite understand the claims.
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bacy35hev4-bk.htm
This is a 3500mAh battery and has "double the capacity of the original battery"
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17hev4.htm
This is a 1750mAh battery, it's not listed the capacity.. but my stock battery is 1500mAh so it cannot be by much.
http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Extende...Accessories&hash=item483d837c7f#ht_4076wt_905
This is a 3500mAh battery, it comes with a battery cover I would imagine that it's similar to the Seidio battery as far as in the capacity
has anyone tried the extended batteries off of ebay, do they work well.. and do the battery covers hold up well?
Any suggestions of extending battery life? I keep my wifi turned off, dimmed my screen, and a few other things.
Right now I am thinking of just getting a battery charger and just swapping between the two batteries.. it would just be a hassle taking my case and battery cover on and off every day.
check out http://batteryboss.org/ first to see where those batteries really stand.
there is also an 1800 mah at http://www.htcexpress.com/ that was supposedly tested to be 1700 mah.
that woud make it the best battery around, but i bought one and it seemed worse than the stock battery.
sprint also now has a 2600 mah with extended back. i don't know if anyone has tested it yet.
i purchased the ebay 3500mah with cover and also the OEM HTC extended battery for the TP2
HTC model no. RHOD170
. works great and according to battery boss it is the best extended battery ratings wise.
i got the battery for OEM HTC extended battery for18 bucks on ebay. so you have have two batteries and a better looking cover for half the price of the seidio battery.
however, i cant seem to get the battery status to show up correctly on the oem battery display but it does show up on "battery status" app

Extended battery for the EVO on eBay 3000 mah
This is a way better buy. The battery life rocks. The door is rubberized and a really nice feel/texture. Moretalktime has 100% feedback and has them in stock in USA.

Best Place to Buy New Battery

Hi, I want to get a spare battery for my htc wildfire, any suggestions as to where to buy a new genuine one and the best seller or a good safe alternative, thanks.

Hi ricky, just a heads up. I recently bought a 1800 mAh from Mugen batteries for a Wildfire. I use one in my Sensation and used it in a HD2 in the past. Always an improvement over the original batteries.
i 2nd the mugen batteries, if they have one available for your model it might be the way to go, i had one for my touch pro 2 and that thing lasted 2-3 times longer than the stock battery, they also happen to have 3 different size of batteries for some models
How long do you think a 3600 mAh battery would last?
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...600mah-extended-battery-for-htc-wildfire.html
3500 mAh Batteries are available for under £10 on ebay #270686297000
I think the best choice is to go to the store and buy one I am not very confident about shopping this one online, maybe its more expensive but you will be 95% more sure that is better.
But its your choice
Cheers
