HTC tytn and Black 2.0 keyboard light problem

I just upgraded to Windows Mobile VI - Black Edition 2.0 and since then there is no light on the keyboard whatever I do.
Is there any way to fix this ?
It is really annoying, and I really want to keep the Rom (it is great).
Please help

UPDATE
It is now working but only when I press some key.
Is it possible to set it up so that it starts when ever i open the keyboard like it used to on wm5 ?

the keyboard lights up when the sensor detects low light. The other mode which if you disabled this function, doesn't light up. The sensor is at the right hand uppermost corner.

anyway, I had a similar problem...and of the two settings 'power' and 'backlight'...you need to play with combos that leave the keyboard lights on pullout...but don't let the device come on and stay on.
I forget but I have 3 of the 4 options on and one off that does the trick.

i wouldn't flame the guy who helped create the rom you are questioning about. notice at top of forum it says read before posting...try it, it works

Sorry, I don't care if he created every rom known to man, I just have this thing with offensive rudeness...it doesn't give him liscence to **** on other people no matter how porly they misread forum decorum.
There's other equally effective ways to get what one wants.

The original Shadow.exe file available on the official site has been replaced by a Shadow.rar file (new version) so I have removed the Shadow.exe from my mirror too.
In other terms ... LATEST VERSION COME AND GET IT WHILE IT LASTS !!!

He deserves NO respect.
Well OK... as a chef hes a genius, as a person, with his attitude, he deserves NOTHING.
I'm sure MS would prefer us not to talk about their stuff, I'm sure the operators would prefer us not to talk about their stuff.
What right does he have to ask this?

Hey all, does anyone know if this is the fixed version resolving the dll conflict and startup issues? I would go to the 4winmobile black forum but it's down at the moment... been down for an hour or so... I think they're upgrading their forum software...

A little respect and a THANK YOU to the creator of what you are now reading and wanting to download and use wouldn't hurt you know. I'm not in anyway affiliated with JJ, but I do respect his wishes since we are the ones sitting around waiting for him to finish this colossal task of cooking a ROM for us... at least we can say thanks and not attack him on top..... my 0.02...

I know http://wmblack.info/ may have the latest release but the http://wmblack.info/ website doesn't tell us if the release has the dll conflict and soft reset issues resolved (hang during shadow splash). just wondering if this release is OK. I'm sure there are plenty of users waiting for this release to stabilize before going through the install process and then discover my hermes just hangs at some splash screen and have to go through the cycle of doing soft and hard resets....

Downloaded from Wmblack.info about an hour ago.
Flashed the Rom and no problems.
Nice.
But have removed the HTC homeplugin. Preferred my own combination, but a nice try.
Re the ROM discussion on XDA - whilst I am a fan of JJ I do not see how trying to restrict discussion on here is practical or the logic in it. As long as everyone is aware that if you want to feedback to JJ and recieve support from JJ then you need to do it on the official website. People can chat about the ROM wherever they like, they may just be misinformed or not receive any help, but that is their choice.
I do not think that trying to block additional mirrors will be practical although as I have not had any problems with the main downoad page, so not sure why mirrors are needed.

As I said in my first post - as a chef, hes great. I have no problem with that, but his arsey stuck up arrogant attitude makes me sick.

Did JJ break a promise to you? Did he get your sister pregnant? Did he welch on a major business deal with you?

that would be awesome. when I first came to the forum, I had a real hard time sorting through all the releases.
But the only problem is, you must be updating that thread frequently as there is a new release every few days.
Also it would be even more awesome if you could add a release date next to each link so that people know what is new and what is old and what is being updated.

but i think there would have to be a way of stopping people posting any questions about the ROM or software otherwise the thread will turn into a messy ROM&CAB bank/Support thread!
Also if you can only post 5 attachments on each post, so unless you are going to upload CABs to Rapidshare (or whatever the you use) and then provide weblinks.
Also i would consider not using Rapidshare because once you download a ROM from it you get banned from download for 30-120 mins depending on the network traffic at the time, i think you should consider using SENDSPACE, MEGAUPLOAD, THERE IS LOADS MORE UNLIMITED ONES HERE
Last point, think the thread should only have your Posts on it, cantact a MOD with the idea and ask them if it is possable

A great response for a senior member of this forum.
If it is not possible just say so! ( although for this question i get the picture )
There will always be newcomers who will ask questions from members of sites. In some cases they will be the most basic thing (to you) but to us it is a question that is genuine.
If they annoy you, don't respond at all.
Maybe there should be a Sticky folder at the start of each Thread named (questions from newbies) or something along those lines, that the senior members that remember when they were the newbies could respond to those questions, which obviously offend you.
Just my 2 cents.

i think he's referring to the business attitude, not the actual color.

i think sometimes some senior members forget the fact that not all members are as knowledgable nor as experienced as they are.

Until you know your way around, it is HARD to find anything on XDA, I remember when I first came here, It took me a lot of looking to find anything.
I know this is a developers forum, but its nice, to be, nice?

Also don't think that just because someone is a senior member, automatically means that they know more and have more experience than a Junior Member.

he told in xda official page why he was banned 14 days... nothing to do with donations but maybe you could read more :
70% of members in xda or in other forums have a link to donate to them
95% of those members have nothing to offer except few critical feedback ...

I for one never seen anything about Yorzua demanding donations before you get a download.
Just a frendly email to him did the trick
