select "snooze" interval - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Is there any way to select the snooze interval on the pro2?
Right now, when I get a reminder, the snooze only has a duration of 5 minutes. There is no way to select a different interval.
On my Kaiser (and many other phones) I could select a snooze duration (ranging from a few minutes to a few days).
This one is driving me nuts. If I want a reminder a few days in advance, only being able to snooze for 5 minutes is ridiculous!

I miss this function too, i was using my kaiser as my morning alarm clock, and it was great to be able to sleep 15 more minutes or 1 hour if i was really tired just by snoozing it...
But now with the TP2, i cannot do this anymore (5 minutes is not enough, and then i dont want to be late for work )

If i recall correctly Windows Mobile 6.5 has functionality for setting the snooze time

This solution for the Blackstone works also fine on the Rhodium.
Thanx to CrAcKwHoRe

Sorry, but this solution still doesn't work for me... before (Ipaq 914c with WM6.1), if I received an alarm notification I could choose a time of 5-10-15-30-60 or som minutes for snoozing time... now I can only choose "snooze" (for 5 mins) or ignore...
DUTCH ROM

Try changing it manually:
Start a registry editor and navigate to key:
HKLM/System/Shell/Notification/OEM
Change the value of CustomUIDLL from NotificationLayout.dll to NotificationLayoutNew.dll
Just add New, it won't find that .dll and starts the old interface, with the snooze option.
Don't forget, after the registry change, turn the TP2 off and back on to activate.
Works for me like a charm (TP2 WWE, but should also work on a dutch machine)

Have you tried using gAlarm? www.ageye.de
It's pretty good! I also use gProfile to automatically switch the phones profile (silent, vibrate, etc.) depending on the time of day.

This fixed work perfectly with my TP2.....Thanks very much.

This helped a lot, thank you!
But, isn't there a way (registry?) in order to add custom values like 30mins, 2hrs, 4hrs, 8hrs?
Thank you!

Yup, confirmed working on TP2 :> Thanks!

I agree! I don't like the need to install separate programs while this functionality may as well be available out of the box!

I would love that too, but I'm afraid that's not a reg change, but build into a dll
If someone knows how to change that, please tell us!

Thanks for finding this one!
Now, if only the TP2 had a scroll wheel....

Is there a way to add more snooze intervals: like 30 mins, 2 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 2 days...etc???

Coucou!
Once again, is there any way to customize snooze intervals???
Thanks for those who may have an idea...

cRaCKwHoRe's Snooze ...works, but...
it looks ugly - it introduces piece of old interface into new environment... it is not finger friendly...personally, I am pissed enough even to be reminded that to have to use this old ugly dialogue to get rid of it makes me feel even worse - it is hard to believe that there is no solution to this - mabe some app that would handle all alarms including the appointment and task ones...or at least dialogue (6.5 looking) with more times to select from...I spent literally ours googling it with no success - does anybody know some solution? Thanks in advance

I agree, I installed it thinking it would use the Touch Flow interface and allow me to set a longer snooze.
I like how Touch Flow lets you see the info if you have a con call number in the appointment, it makes it easy to dial.

Today screen countdown timer required

Hi
Has anyone seen a countdown timer that sits on the todayscreen? I am looking for a freeware version.
The reason is I am off on a holiday in less than 3 months and want to know how many days and hours till I go just by looking at my phone - (without opening a program hence the today screen) I have searched the forums for a few weeks but haven't found anything yet (but that could just be my searching technique!!).
Once the holiday is up I would look to use it for other events that are coming up.
thanks in advance
Wow, you must really want that holiday badly.
Job sucks, huh?
lol, yep!!
i'm going to new zealand for 3 weeks (and visiting someone out there ) - going to be hard to come back after!!
I'm also competing in a Half Marathon a few weeks prior, and need to know how many days left I have for training at a glance. So ideally the today app should pick up on the dates from the calender and then display them on the today screen (I think thats the ideal way...but i'm not a programmer so wouldn't know for sure! lol). I've seen quite a few countdown type programs but none that sit on the today screen (from what I can tell - want to preserve battery life so don't want it running constantly which is another reason why I like the idea of it going on the today screen and the Touch HD (or mine at least) needs the battery life preserving as much as possible - usually manage 2 days before charging - have run it out in 12 hours and less though before now....and once managed 4 days before charging....but that was without talking to anyone at all!!!)
Still no luck finding what i'm after - searched here and other forums - if anyone has seen something that is similar to what i'm looking for, please feel free to pm me.
does anyone know how to program this?
cheers
count down timer
Hi,
Try this little CAB used to use it on my tytn but not tried it on my HD.
Hope it works, enjoy your holls.
(it works on the today screen so cant use it with TF3D)
install then soft reset, then activate through settings.
regards
Jon
Thanks Jon, just what was needed and another satisfied xda-dev customer!
Edit update:
installed and running fine on the HD so far.
Have a great holiday. Hope she's worth it.
(BTW, whereabouts in NZ are you going?)
So do I!! lol
Going all over, visiting both Islands -North and South and trying to see and photograph as much as possible. Will be there for 3 weeks but the time will fly by too quickly before the reality of coming back to work sets in
My next task for the HD is to find some New Zealand maps for TT7 (in English of course) .....time to start another search!!

Hi
I set mine up by going to the Start menu (I'm not using TF3D) settings, Today icon, then the Items tab, then touch T-Day Counter and press options on the right, then just input the the date you need to count down to and press OK top right. (making sure that it has a tick on the tickbox) and it should appear on the Today screen telling you how many days left
hope that helps

Adjust the "snooze" time when using the alarm on Tilt 2?

Is there a way to adjust the "snooze" time on the Tilt 2? I was able, on my former phone, to adjust how long I wanted to set the snooze time for. On the Tilt 2, it appears as though I am unable to do this. Is there a way that I'm not seeing? Thanks for the help.
I am assuming you are talking about the snooze time for appointment reminders ?
There is a cab called Crackwhore snooze options that will give you that option back. It will change the reminder notification back to the standard WM mobile version, but it works great.
For your convenience, here is the cab

Thanks for the reply and for supplying the cab. I was referring to setting the snooze for when I set the standard alarm clock. (When I wake up in the morning, I never get up right away - I really rely on that snooze button...) The cab that you've given to me should work for this, right? Thanks again for your help.
You can all try THIS if you don't want to use the cab. It works fine on a Verizon TP2.

Not sure about the alarm clock snooze. I use G Alarm for that, you need to buy it, but can also look for the 1.5 version that is still freeware. It will give you different snooze options, and you can set various alarms and patterns.
Does the trick for me.
Here is the link to his site. For the freeware version, you need to search this site, I am sure the cab is floating around somewhere.

Thanks a lot for the tip; however, I think that your suggestions are way ahead of what I know how to do. All I could think of was to look in the Windows directory to see if I could find those files - I didn't. I did, however, do as someone else suggested and downloaded that "snooze options" cab. It seems to have done the trick. At any rate, I appreciate your time and suggestion. Have a good night.

The cab doesn't seem to have worked on my ATT Tilt2 :-(
Edit: It works well with the alarm, but not with appointment reminders.

Sorry it is not working for you.
I assume you have soft reset the phone after install.
So after install, when there is a agenda reminder, you do not see the snooze options ( remind in 5 mins, 10 mins.... etc)
I know there is another version for this floating around, however than one broke my status screen (when tapping at the top screen, the overview that shows battery status, and missed calls, reminders, etc)
Not sure what the name of that cab was.

Sorry 'bout that . . . That's a registry entry that would need to be edited with a registry editor. The cab file may have done that, or something similar. Glad you got it working.

I don't know if the cab forces a reset after installation. Since it probably makes registry changes, do a soft reset if you have not already do so.
This should lead you in the right direction...
I too was looking for this with the stock Verizon ROM. When the ulocker for the Rhodium was finally released, I loaded a custom ROM made by NRGZ28 called EnergyROM (or NRGRom)which has a little script file as a shortcut in the Tweaks folder on the Start Menu. It is basically a toggle to either turn on or off the "finger menus". Which alternatively will enable the default Windows Mobile menus.
However; this will do as a previous poster noted. It will also disable the phone status. (although, I could be wrong as I am not running the latest release of the ROM. Anyway, it will give you back those classic reminder, appointment, and alarm snooze options.
Good Luck! I hope this helps steer you closer to the exact fix you are looking for.
I do wish there was an option or fix/tweak out there which would just give you classic options while preserving the look with the finger menus. ("finger menus" are technically the Rhodium Notifications, or something similar to that.)

Snooze time for reminders

I sure liked the feature of being able to select, right in the reminder window, a variable snooze time, such as 15 min or 1 day. This was under WM 6.1 on my Tilt. It seems this feature disappeared in WM 6.5. Am I missing something?
I use cRaCKwHoRe's Snooze Options: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3716251&postcount=2280 -- check it out
^ cool. That does not look like a specific Tilt2 cab. Just to clarify you do use this on your Tilt2 with no problems, correct?
Finally got around to using this (after a new ROM install). I am still using a basically stock AT&T ROM on the Tilt2 and this works wonderfully. Back to the same functionality in the regular Tilt.
One step forward and two backwards, thanks Microsoft...
Wow. Sorry I completely ignored your question on 17 November -- I never saw it! Glad to know, however, that all is well now.
The above link and tweak works perfectly on my Tilt 2 with stock ROM.

Same here.
I too can't understand why such a usefull function would be removed from
the new WM6.5???
I installed this cab on my new Tilt 2 but I don't see anywhere to make adjustments or activate the app?? Maybe it won't work on my model? I did a reboot but I still don't see any app listed in Program Files.
Any instructions would be greatly appreciated!!

Really? Uhm, it isn't an app, but a regedit. It simply adds more different choices of snooze times to your alarms.
Hmmm...
I thought I edited this post to let the thread know I now have it working. I am not real familiar with all the ins and outs of the files, cabs, patches, regedits etc here, but indeed I have my sleep timer back!
WooHoo!
What would make someone leave that out of the 6.5?? Makes NO sense to me, but thanks to crackwhore, I'm back in business!!
Thanks again to all and especially XDA team!

[REQ] Time-out countdown

I've tried a couple diffrent countdown timers, but I think somthing alot more basic could be made...
I just need one timer, than can save the time. Also sound an alarm.
The use would be for when my daughter is bad I can set it, 2yr olds generaly get 2 minutes. I want to open it a hit one button that starts the countdown right away....
BTW I have an HTC Diamond
I can give this a go if your still looking.
Am I correct in assuming that you are looking for something that when launched has one (or two) buttons that will start a predetermined count down (2 minutes by default) and sound an alarm when complete?
Is source what your looking for or just a cab?
Thank you for your reply! I don't know if this is somthing that'll intrest alot of people, but I appreciate your intrest.
I don't know how to program, I would like a cab.
that sounds like the Idea, all it really needs is 1 button, preset to 2 minuets (but could be changed), and sounds an alarm when done.
K, I'll whip something up by the end of the weekend

[Q] Snooze Options - Other than CrackWhore?

Hey ppl! Finally got my touchpro2/tilt2...good thing I waited...got it for 1 penny! + the taxes cause I made a new contract! woohoo!
Anyways, I was annoyed with the lack of snooze options, so I added the CrackWhore...whatever patch.
I was wondering if there is anything else? That actually looks good?
The Original Notify Bar that popped up was aamzing w/TouchPro3D, the one that comes with CrackWhores snooze options takes us back to the OEM WM look...which is pretty bad.
ps. Added the Crackwhore Snooze Option cab to this message...in case someone wanted to take a look at it.

# Windows Notifications
* - Enable dismiss X time in windows notifications.
At least I think that is it.
The Screen Rotation feature, for programs other than the Internet browser and teeter is a must have!
Got it working make sure you upload the cab on page one too, for it to run. NetCF 3.5 is required
The reminders option does work...so I removed Crackwhore program.
The crackwhore program "looked" a little bit better for the reminders...but they both still use the old windows mobile look...not the good looking htc look...I might just reinstall the Crackwhore program for this particular function.
The screen rotation option is great, I can now get the whole screen to rotate without having to open the keyboard.
Nvm about the different look of the two programs...I had a "classic Windows Menu" option on, after turning it off the two look the same.
The HTC original one still looks better, but lacks snooze options.
I added the CABS for it BsB Tweaks and NET... it has the same things as the CrackWhore patch, but with a lot more benefits...led lights reminder options, screen rotations in other programs, in case someone looking here wanted them.
Just noticed that the device isn't waking up for E-mail... although I have the "wake-up for SMS" feature for BsB on...any thoughts?
