I just tried WinMo 6.5 and even if I prefer Manila, I found that there is already many plugins for "today" for facebook, weather, twitter, ...
So, I searched on the forum if it was possible to do the same with manila and even if I found some way to add tab (by editing a xml file) I didn't found anything interesting.
So, after playing with the twitter plugin for winmo 6.5, I'd like to know I something similar exists for manila?

Hello there I am a total newbie in this whole ROM flashing business but would like to learn. After reading some posts with tutorials I'm still scared because there are no clear instructions on how to remove some annoying wm apps, namely Mobile Office, Internet Explorer, Media Player and Manila (its not annoying at all, but I have a very nice skin in Wisbar Advance that I like more, iphonish, don't flame me or ignore me now lol).
My ideal ROM would be finger friendly and fast
Remove:
Manila
Mobile Office
Notes
Calculator
Solitaire
Internet Explorer - is remove possible???
Media Player - is remove possible???
Windows Live Messenger - is remove possible???
Pictures & Videos - is remove possible???
All unnecessary sounds and pictures, leave only rudimentary ones so there is more space for later
Include:
Tweaks to make wm more finger friendly (wider scrollbars etc.), responsive and faster
HTC Album
HTC Camera
HTC Start with bigger items
HTC Task manager
HTC Calculator from Diamond 2
HTC Dialer with slide to answer and keypad block
HTC Sensor SDK for screen rotation (but only if stable)

I am basically interested in a 'half clean' ROM lol, some things removed, some not as you can see from my post above.
I see that in the ROMs usually the IE and Media Player don't get removed, is it because they cannot be removed or just nobody did it until now (hard to believe...)
Anyway, I'd be happy to donate for a custom ROM if you are interested?

Just look around for some packages that are one-touch installs. Should be pretty straightforward to set up. Personally I don't use it any more; felt like a resource hog. I use either Samsung Today or HTCHome
I was hoping for a ROM with all fixed like HTC Album, Audio Manager, weather, etc...

i have two very important questions,
1st how do i completely remove internet explorer from the sys folder in wm6.5 as i just want to keep opera in the rom.
2nd i there a working youtube that does not require touchflo, cause touchflo ruins the smooth scrolling of wm6.5.

I'm looking for an app that is similar to the showaco's OPERA FAVORITES found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511499&highlight=opera+fav
But instead of showing the opera favourites i want it to show the the favourite programs of my choice. That way I don't need to use the start menu to start the favourite programs such as CorePlayer and TomTom.
I've been looking for something like this but haven't found it so now I'm asking here to see if there is such a thing
I don't know how to make apps for myself so unless someone can teach me that's not an option.

I got a Dutch stock Rhodium, done a fair bit of tweaking and installing themes etc but since today I noticed whenever I access the calender tab Manilla restarts... Rest of the tabs are fine and when I run the calender from the programs launcher runs fine.
I have fiddled quite a bit last night with some theme cabs and games so I can't tell what exactly caused this... of course I can hard reset but it would take so long to get everything the way I have it now...
I don't use my calender that intensive so not really a big issue for me but it just bugs me why this only happens on the calender tab... anyone got an idea what caused it and how to fix besides a hard reset?
I'm not sure if i can help. but i can try, but i think almost anyone who is willing to help you needs to know what you installed because something you installed is probably creating a conflict or something like that.

it happened to me when i messed up with the weather database..but manila restarted also in weather tab and when clickng on the clock icon in the main page...

At my side it only happens at the calender tab... I checked everyting else is working as should.
Trying to find a way to extract the list of installed apps... there must be one as it is displayed at the remove programs interface??

If anyone has any idea what causes TF3D to restart whenever I access the calender tab please let me know. FYI it already happened before I installed
